This used to be my favorite shop in Long Beach and would rave about it to all my friends. I…read morepurchased a brand new vape from here today and it was defective right out of the package. The device wouldn't turn on at all, even when connected to a charger. I returned to the store almost immediately with the packaging expecting a simple replacement, but the owner was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Instead of resolving the issue, he tried to shift blame and gaslight the situation, even though the device clearly never worked. Any reputable shop knows that sometimes products arrive defective, and replacing it for a customer who just purchased it is basic customer service. Even just the right thing to do as a human being. Instead, I was refused help and the guy wouldn't even provide his name when asked. Such a disappointing experience. I paid for a product that never worked and was treated poorly when I tried to resolve it and there never was a solution. I'd never come back or spend my money here again.

Her exceptional service and professionalism stood out, making me feel valued as a customer. She's also amazing at keeping the area under control, creating a safer and more welcoming environment despite the challenges of the neighborhood. Honestly, I don't even like going to that part of town--it's not the safest--but I braved it because she made it worthwhile. Unfortunately, my last visit this morning left me deeply disappointed. I had an encounter with another employee, a Hispanic female, who verbally assaulted me and made me feel completely disrespected. She threatened violence (but said she wasn't able to because she was on the clock). This did not stop her from yelling threats from behind the counter within earshot of about 7 people in line. It's heartbreaking that one person's behavior has pushed me to stop coming here because I can no longer support a place that allows such treatment of customers. I'll miss the black girl that "married" me and my boyfriend (was so cute). If the Hispanic girl no longer works there, I will continue to patronize the business but until then I'll make sure everyone I know stands with me in not spending money at this place and goes to ON THE RUN at Anaheim and Alamitos instead.

I was apologetic and confused and gave him another $20. Then the friend who gave me those $20s said they had been passed through multiple counterfeit machines and could not have been fake. I realized the cashier at VP switched my bills after I walked out. Learned an important lesson: don't let the bills out of your site until the cashier accepts them.
