That alone felt excessive for the amount of time and care provided. What was even more frustrating is their policy that if you have pain in your arm, you are only allowed to discuss one joint per appointment. If you have issues with your shoulder, elbow, or wrist, they expect you to schedule separate visits for each. That is completely unreasonable and feels more like a way to generate more billing rather than actually help patients. The visit felt rushed and nothing meaningful was done to address my issue. Unfortunately, this experience gave the impression that the office is more focused on maximizing charges than on treating patients. I definitely would not recommend this office.

My care plan is not only 100% tailored to me, but Deanna also personalizes every session based on how I'm feeling both physically/mentally that day, integrating mental/physical well-being in her practice. She takes the time to listen/understand how my condition impacts my life, finds ways for me to integrate my home care routine more easily/efficiently into my lifestyle, explains how each exercise/stretch works, and creates new ones on the spot to help save me time by combining several into one. Deanna truly goes above/beyond by taking the time to help me better understand my condition anatomically, how it affects me physically, and took things a step further by helping me understand my MRI/x-ray impressions ordered by the pain docs but never explained to me in a way I could understand by them. Thanks to her and Annika's profound empathy/compassion, unremitting encouragement/devotion, inexhaustible patience/support, and exceptional teamwork; I have managed to get off opioids completely, drastically cut down on multiple other addictive meds, regain confidence in my self/my ability to get better, and learn what I can do to continue along this path to recovery without having to get surgery. The ambulance rushed him to Scripps La Jolla, and by sheer luck, Dr. Christopher Urband was the trauma surgeon on call that day. We feel so incredibly blessed that he was the one who took our boy into the operating room and performed the ORIF surgery. What Dr. Urband accomplished that day was truly extraordinary. With remarkable precision and skill, he carefully reconstructed the shattered tibia and fibula, inserting a strong intramedullary rod from knee to ankle and securing it perfectly with screws. The result was nothing short of miraculous. Every follow-up appointment since then, when other orthopedic surgeons and specialists examined the healing, they all stopped and congratulated the work. They told us straight out that Dr. Urband had done a magnificent, extraordinary job--one that very few surgeons could have pulled off so beautifully. Because of his incredible talent and care, our son not only kept his leg, but today he has perfectly normal mobility and function, as if that terrible accident never happened. There were some early administrative issues with billing and insurance, but everything was resolved in the end.
