We picked up the shuttle at Sunset Transit Center early Saturday morning. Mitch, our driver was super welcoming and kind. We saw alot of him during the day too. For 5 hours we bopped on and off the bus to 5 different wineries throughout the Dundee area. Mitch collected our purchases and returned them on our way back to Portland. So nice not to carry bottles with us all day. Every 20 minutes or so a bus would appear. We were never in a rush, nor did we ever wait very long. We visited wineries I've never heard of before and they were AMAZING. How would I have ever known about them otherwise?!? White Rose was our favorite. Such a cool space and amazing Pinots. I'll never not use NW Wine Shuttle to visit wineries again. Great service, frequent pick ups and good cost point!

It was not a pleasant experience for customers and it appeared the wedding party arrived early too and they would have had more space to relax and enjoy their special day if there were no customers around. But again... I usually have an excellent experience! Wine selection is amazing!! The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. And the setting and ambience amazing! They have fun events throughout the year. You must go Halloween weekend and get a Taro reading! We had so much fun last year. And they have great deals on wines. I suggest going just not on a day they are closing early for an event.

Since my sister and I are not huge Pinot fans, our tasting was geared around whites and roses. All of the wine we tasted was delicious! We were not that familiar with Oregon wines, but found these to be full bodied, with great aromas and wonderful finishes. The location is out of the way and sits up on a hill. You also have the option of staying at the Black Walnut Inn at the vineyard, or the Grange, which is more upscale and offered to Foley members. We did not stay here, but would consider it next time. Our only complaint was that we arrived in early August, and the wildfires in Oregon and Washington affected the air quality and the views. We are likely to go back at a different time of year when that isn't likely to be happening next time.

At that time Stephan just saved all our info in case we were able to come later (so happy that we were). He didn't charge us anything at that time even though I'm sure he'd done work arranging things. Stephan organized our trip, picking fantastic wineries for us to go to based on our preferences (we only picked one of the 8 and it was the only one we didn't buy wine at...should have let him pick them all!) and two great lunch spots. Ian drove us around in a luxe black sedan. Both were fantastic to work with and very responsive. We had to change hotels at the last minute (days before) due to an outbreak closing the first hotel and they didn't miss a beat working around that. Ian gave us great suggestions for places to eat dinner and things to do on our day off. He also drove us to a convenient store at the end of the day when one of us needed some medicine, and helped us load all the wine into the car and then carry it into the hotel. He was COVID safe and wore a mask the entire time even though all three of us were vaccinated (and bonus points that he was vaccinated). Side note that everyone we interacted with at wineries were also vaccinated if people are looking for a safe COVID experience. 10/10 would use them again.

Not only did we learn about Pinot Noir but she also gave me some baking tips. She had prepared our lunch and the cookies she made were fantastic! (She has a background in the restaurant business.) Our tour was in July and, of course, the wine would not be shipped by Cellar Door or the winery until October. Both shipments arrived promptly in October as promised! In between wines, I enjoy their Sparkling Water, which is alkaline. And the service is knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. The building's achitecture was designed by the the Frank Lloyd Wright of Oregon who created a Treehouse effect in the tasting room. My favorite part of the atmosphere is being outdoors. The amphitheater holds their "Live on the lawn" concert series this summer with food and wine available at events. This is a fantastic place in wine country to Unplug and enjoy nature.

Oh and I have not even mentioned the fantastic wines yet. Whether you are a red or white fan, like whole cluster or small, tannins or less tannins, sweet or full bodied reds, you can find them at SB. And that is not to say they make such a variety that they are spread thin cause that's what I would think if I read that. They are meticulous about every wine they make, it's special, has specific flavors, pairs with particular foods well, each year with its vintage that every one has their own favorites of. He was very attentive and wanted to get a vibe for what the group (6 women) wanted and enjoys in life - all so HE could plan 2 amazing days at wineries in the greater Portland area. After the chat, we netted out on two full days (8 hrs each day. We survived by the way.) in June. He picked us up right at our Airbnb (Pearl) in a comfortable van with lots of room and already had the jams playing (his 90s/00s playlist is ON POINT). For the first day, we went out to the Mt. Hood area which was beyond beautiful (don't think I've ever seen a winery with a majestic mountain as a back drop). I highly recommend this route as it has more of a mom & pop feeling than other major wine areas I've visited (especially if you can do multiple days in this region). You also get a wider range of varietals vs. Willamette (not knocking W.V. AT ALL as I'm a Pinot Noir gal). Cedric completely planned the entire day and we hit up 4 different wineries and none disappointed. He also grabbed us lunch which was fantastic. The drive is beautiful along the Colombia River. Dropped off at our place in the Pearl. Day 2 (the following day) we hit up the famous Willamette Valley. We had a couple last minute requests (in terms of must-have wineries) that Cedric completely accommodated and he re-routed our day to ensure we hit the best of the best. He worked his magic and we were able to visit FIVE (!), including the last stop where we chatted with the owner/winemaker while playing bocce ball (Utopia wines). It was a fantastic day. We visited some big players like Domaine Serene (YES) and Stoller (great for a picnic lunch), but also some smaller but beautiful wineries like Colene Clemens (top of hill overlooking valley) and Vista Hills (think tree house vibes). Cedric promised a magical day and he delivered. This was by far my favorite wine tour experience and I've done a lot of them across the country/world. Cedric was the difference maker. He's a fantastic and hilarious host and truly makes the experience one to remember. His company has other drivers as well and I imagine they are of the same breed as Mr. Cedric, so no matter who you get, you won't be disappointed!!
