Ran into town on our search for cheese curds and came across this gem. When you enter the building you are greated with a warm welcome and the smell of coffee fills your nostrils. We didn't eat any food or treats while here, but there is a variety of sandwiches, ice cream and bakery. Plenty of seating with a high and open ceiling. I tried the Roaring Twenties coffee special drink and it was delish! Vanilla and carmel lattee. Was also pleased they had a variety of milks to choose from. They also offer a cooler full of local Hook cheese and other meats. Will definitely stop back in when we are back next summer!

Whilst in Dodgeville I stopped in here to grab a simple breakfast. There aren't a whole lot of places so I popped into Catheryn's for that. I got a bialy with cream cheese, as well as a chai, lemonade, and a meil for someone else. As I understand it the meil was really good (something I'd never heard of, nor had the person who drank it). The chai was quite good! I thought maybe I tasted a bit of pumpkin, but that could have just been my imagination. It did taste like a more original spice blend as opposed to just chai concentrate dumped in a machine. They had some hot items and I might have gotten a quiche but I wasn't sure if they did that to-go. But it's okay, I didn't need anything too involved anyway. They had some other items by local artisans, and they also had some really beautiful flowers--it was a struggle for me to talk myself out of it, but they would have died within hours since I was nowhere near home. They have refrigerated items for purchase, and a lot of bakery goods--I bought a brownie, dar chocolate chip cookie, and some graham crackers. The graham crackers were my favorite. Service was friendly and quick. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Great Americano. Americano's are my coffee drink of choice. I order them everywhere. And the Americano here is just about perfect. Usually I would not five star a coffee shop just on the coffee, but it was great. It is in a great building - historic and restored. They have food. That's my food review. TL/DR - Coffee. Great coffee

Cathryn's is a new favorite of ours. From the historical old Dodgeville and former pharmacy decor, to the wide selection of local meats, cheeses, and other products in the coolers, there is a little something for everyone. Even old fashioned candies are stowed in the antique cabinet at the back of the store. We've tried a handful of the baked goods; scones, Graham crackers, and chocolate chip fig cookies are great. And I'm officially hooked on the Downtown Phil Brown latte, iced (also half sweet, but that's a personal preference). Service has always been friendly and prompt. At some point we'll need to try something from the actual menu!

Don't dodge this dodgeville treasure! I came in from Madison and needed a place to grab coffee and a bite to eat with my family. This place has a small brunch menu, but the staff highly recommended the biscuits and gravy and it was fantastic! I ordered a meil which had a perfect balance of honey and cinnamon! The decor feels like a 50s diner dropped into an old west saloon with a hint of drug store. Somehow, it seamlessly blends into an enjoyable and welcoming space, perfect for a small get-together or study spot.

Cathryn's Market is a vibrant, pleasant space with beautiful wood flooring and well appointed decorations. I visited for breakfast with my family and the experience was delightful. We loved their commitment to locally sourced products evident throughout the entire business. Our coffee drinks were all good and well presented, but the winner of the table was the biscuits and gravy: delicious, homemade, and locally sourced. The oatmeal was a fairly small portion but was not instant and was delicious. Another winner for us was the iced mocha which tasted great and came in a quaint mason jar! We will definitely be back!

We came here while we were camping at Governor dodge. What a great addition to Dodgeville! Fresh and amazing food. Nice staff. Awesome ice cream bar. Specialty latte was better imo than the classic espresso drink I had but I think their drink menu is still top notch. Try the pastries for sure! I will update my review when we stop for lunch later in the week.

I was a bit disappointed given the hype here on Yelp. It was simply ok. The strength of my rating…read morelies in their maple bar (or long john, as they call them here in the Midwest). It's hard to find one around here anyway--in all the time I've lived in Chicago I have only found them a few times, and usually they have a stop of bacon on them (yuck), so finding one that was true to origins made me happy. And it was pretty good! It was pretty fluffy, and I've had ones that are much more dense and not as tasty. The cinnamon roll was just ok. I think that's mostly because I didn't like the icing; I think it was a pretty simple one made of powdered sugar, but I prefer a different type. The maple frosted fritter was disappointing. The woman working was nice enough. They did have lots of items to choose from and I couldn't decide so that's why I got a few things to haves a few bites of each. The price was outstanding, and that was nice too! They have lots of breads here, as well as hamburger and hot dog buns, and if I was heading to a picnic I'd get some to take along.

This bakery does not disappoint! Everything I bought there was great!…read more I originally stopped to only try their cream-filled chocolate covered donuts. But of course while waiting in line I was overtaken by a bakery trance....I ended up with a loaf of whole-wheat sandwich bread, a bag of snickerdoodle cookies, a bag of chocolate chip cookies and four cream-filled donuts. The whole take was only around $17.00. Incredible price and incredible product! It's a good thing I don't live nearby....

Not to mention it was quite popular! I loved the selection of hot chocolate options and the translation for each. However I wasn't very impressed by the French one I ordered (dark chocolate plus vanilla). It was good but not as decadent as I was anticipating and even with 30 min to close I asked to dine in but they gave me everything in Togo containers. I also got a Swede sandwich- which was ham, Swiss and Dijon mustard. Nothing to write home about. It was very very average. However I did get an almond cookie with chocolate ganache which was fantastic. Sitting at a table in this shop and looking at all the treats was great. I have a feeling if I come back at an earlier time this place could really blow me away, but as of right now. It's mid. I'm not impressed and what was left at the end of the day was just average. Also the three items cost me about $20 so I would say this place Is on the pricer end
