The Eggs Benedict had radioactive looking neon yellow Hollandaise and hard boiled eggs instead of poached.

Pros: Super charming place! Friendly young gentleman behind the counter, some lovely artisan-crafted earrings. Cons: The food and service were not good. My husband's Eggs Benedict had HARD BOILED EGGS in it and tasted disgusting. The Greek omelette looked decent, but nothing in it tasted fresh. Table service was not good. Server was extremely flustered.

    Cute windows!

This is a cute and quaint shop/cafe with a very small-town atmosphere-limited indoor seating (seat yourself), lots of "merch" of the town itself, it gives off the vibe that everyone knows everyone (maybe they do?). It's themed like an old country store, which I think it was once way back when. I've included some pictures. Broad selection of coffees, teas, etc. They are a bit pricey, but nothing more than a Starbucks latte. Food is priced fair. I've added pictures of what we got. The pancakes I got were huge, they were like actual little cakes. They were slightly undercooked, which I like, but just a warning to others in case. Nikita, my friend and her fiance loved their food and raved about it on the drive back. Perhaps I am not ordering the right things-the past two times I've gone, I haven't been mind blown. Service could be friendlier, and our bill was charged incorrectly. All in all an okay experience in a cute town with decent food. Expect okay service, good or just okay food depending on what you order/like, and a nice environmenf

My boyfriend and I stopped at the place while we were on our way to the Ren Fest in Sterling. This wasn't planned, we just saw some place to grab breakfast and we checked it out. Boy, were we totally suprised. The charm of this place is absolutely unbelievable. It had the feel of an old country store. We really didn't browse around that much. Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of time to spare. The food was amazing. They serve these sausage patties that were out of this world. If you love sausage, you gotta do the patties. I had an omelette that was filling and tasty. He had french toast that was so good. Once again, he refused to share. One down fall, they ran out of home fries. What is it with me and going to places that run out of home fries? Man, I love me some potato product. The service was great. They were friendly, swift and on point. The next time I am in the area, I will be sure to visit this place again.

Thank you for the gluten free toast!! My breakfast was completed perfectly and the coffee was outstanding. Everyone was very nice and I enjoyed the outside seating.

I absolutely love this place. It has character, history, atmosphere, art and good food. My son and I stopped in after a chilly but sunny walk on the beach for something sweet. We ordered muffins. Excellent food. Excellent service. Must come back with time to shop. They have a beautiful gift shop with local artwork, souvenirs, jewelry, clothing, and a lot more. It's a must do if you are visiting the area. It very much captures the small town spirit this area embodies. Five stars.

Unlike in April, when I enjoyed a perfectly cooked medium rare burger and delicious hot crispy sweet potato fries, when I walked in I could see that the kitchen was manned by two young guys instead of Lori, and I sensed that I might be in trouble. Once again I've learned to trust my instincts. I ordered the same meal, the Bacon Bourbon Swiss burger, medium rare, and sweet potato fries. The burger arrived well done, dry as a bone, grey inside and tasteless, while the fries were limp and lifeless. My burger in April also had lots of the delicious bourbon sauce, while I could detect none of that sauce on this one, adding to the dryness of the burger and the most unpleasant experience. My understanding is that the owner has many irons in the fire. My experience would suggest that he has perhaps too many irons, as there appears to be no one there to ensure that standards are upheld to enable consistent quality. I arrived highly anticipating another great dining experience, and left hungry and severely disappointed. So, next year when I go fishing and go there for lunch or dinner if I see Lori in the kitchen I will stay and eat, but if there's anyone else I'll leave and get a sandwich at the Bayside convenience store. Our server was kind enough to remove my meal from our bill, was very sympathetic and understanding and was generously tipped because of it, the only reason why I gave two stars.

Hubby had the entree of brisket & pulled pork with a side of veggies and the Mac & cheese. The Mac & Cheese is so, so good. We ordered some to take home for my son! My balsamic chicken entree was delicious - I loved the side of carrots & zucchini- very fresh & unique! Great dinner, no hesitation to come back here. And, we did have to wander over to the dairy bar and check out the ice cream too! On the way, we noticed lots of outdoor seating and maybe a little stage too. There is live music regularly! Hubby got a shake & I had a dish of hard ice cream. It hit the spot! Thanks so much!

She had been here before, so I'm thinking sure why not. We walked in and sat right up at the counter and the gentleman that was working the grill was super friendly. He's basically cooking for the whole restaurant with another guy next to him and yet still found the time to welcome us in and take our order. I got the southwestern omelette that is made with homemade chorizo hash and he asked if I would like some jalapeno chopped up in there to which I said sure why not. Comes with a side of toast and potatoes... My wife gets eggs benedict, and they have a menu item called the Benny extreme which is the same basically but it comes with tomato and spinach, so she opted for this. She also ordered a cinnamon swirl pancake. I'm thinking hey that sounds pretty good, so I asked if I could also have a cinnamon swirl pancake. The gentleman taking our order just kind of looked at me and said are you sure? So now I'm thinking to myself yes yes of course I'm sure I've had pancakes before, some places I go to I get a whole stack of them, I'm thinking I can handle one and I'll use it as like a dessert item. He says okay, smiles, and they prepare our food. Everything tasted wonderful. The hash was excellent, at least I think it was I mean I've never had it before but no complaints. The only surprise I had was the pancake. It was on its own dinner plate. This thing was freaking huge. We could have easily shared one and maybe had leftovers as we also both ordered breakfast in addition to these two monster pancakes. Now please understand I was in no way upset. While it is true my wife could have warned me about the size, and he could have said something as well, it was okay. I still finished everything and most of my pancake. Over all the service was great, like I said this guy was cooking for the whole restaurant and he's still found the time to check on us and made sure our coffee was full. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area however it might be a little while because I live a couple hours away. The only thing I wish I had done that I forgot, when you order toast with your breakfast, the bread is homemade and they sell it by the loaf. White, wheat, rye, they have all of it. I meant to buy a loaf and I forgot. I look at it now though it's just an excuse to go back, and of course to grab another one of those pancakes... The only other thing that I could mention is that the place is a little smaller than I had expected. Everything was nice and clean so that's a bonus however for the business they're doing, and the number of people waiting to get a table, they could use a larger dining room.

Food is consistent, delicious and predictable. Service is efficient and friendly, but not syrupy…read more A loaf of raisin bread to take home is a necessity!
