Nice local restaurant where not only the staff is friendly but everyone there says hello and wishes you a great day. Full bar. Private parking. Bathrooms were clean. NYS lottery available. . Food, their steak, cheese, pepper, onions etc. sandwich was amazing. Large portion and served extremely hot. Fish sandwich was excellent with great starter sauce. Portion was large and served hot with FF. Shrimp starter with Thai Asian sauce was just ok. Nice soup and salad bar for extra. Service was very good. OK, I got to the restaurant with a bunch of friends. We sat down waitress was really nice very attentive. All the servers were very attentive. The guy across from me got a 12 ounce prime rib, which didn't look bad and he got mashed potatoes with gravy, which didn't look bad.. I got the 14 ounce prime rib and it came back hard. I ordered a medium well, but there was no paint at all and it was very tough to cut and it was dry. The side order of spaghetti that was undercooked almost raw, and the sauce was very bland like a can of tomatoes have been dumped on top.. the salad bar was about the only thing that was really good and untouchable. Would I go there again absolutely not.. but I didn't say anything to the waitress because our friends was with us and I didn't want to embarrass my friends. Restaurant is clean, friendly staff. They have a salad bar with everything you are looking for. The salad bar was clean and fresh. The prime rib was on special and chicken Cordon Blue, pot roast. Fresh Italian bread with butter. I recommend trying this Hide-A-Way! read more

My first time here and my friend suggested the soup and salad bar. The soup of the day was a goulash and it was delish! The salad bar is smaller but has everything you would want. Fresh crisp lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, coleslaw, cottage cheese, macaroni salad, croutons, sunflower seeds, several dressings, canned fruit. I'm sure I missed some things but that's what I could remember. Our waitress was very attentive. The price was very reasonable at 11.99 for all you could eat. The staff was efficient, we were greeted and seated quickly. Since we were there on a Saturday evening without a reservation we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a couple of drinks from the server, they were refreshing. For dinner I had the prime rib dinner which was cooked perfectly, served with delicious mashed potatoes and gravy. My wife had a salmon filet with pineapple salsa, served with rice pilaf. She found the salsa a little spicy for her taste. RFH's has a salad bar that was included with the meals, and was fresh and refilled while we were there. Dinner and drinks for two was $78, $95 with tip. read more

I had the County Fried Steak with sausage gravy, and mashed potatoes. Sausage gravy over both. Absolutely delicious!!! The other half had the Seafood Platter with a huge piece of fish, and so many shrimp, scallops and clam strips. Both of us took enough home for a second meal. Our bill was under $45. Service was great and somewhat quick. We will definitely be back to try the many other options on the menu. read more

We were in the area for the wife's high school reunion and her longtime friends invited us to dinner here. The service was great and Jake was very friendly, the salad bar, was a bit small but the salads were all very fresh. My steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and was tender and flavorful. The wife's fish was delicious (or at least that's what she said), our friends also said there food was great. If we are ever back in central New York I know we'll be back! read more

Such a nice country place to go! We went there on Mother's Day with reservations of course! We had only been there years before and wanted to try it again. You can really tell the difference between this family place and others because they put out a very well managed home cooked style buffet with lots of good desserts. We had a very enjoyable time with no waiting to be seated! The only food that was a amiss for me was the mashed potatoes. They could've used a little real potato for more a homemade taste! read more

Took my hubby to RFH's Hide-a-way for his birthday. It didn't dissapoint! Huge portions, reasonable prices and always exceptional service. This family owned business is a gem. If you like leftovers, this is the place to go. The menu has a great selection of steaks, pasta, seafood and chicken choices that are not your typical menu. Their twist on some dishes makes them unique. I have never got a bad meal here! Located just south of Fulton on route 57, it's worth the drive. We'll be back for sure! read more

My wife and I went for dinner,, just happen to be the owners?? grandmothers surprise birthday party that night. Now it being our first time there, it was busy. We waited several minutes. Sat at the bar and a bartender took our order, Miller lite and a gin & tonic for myself. He seemed sort of confused as he tried to give me the beer, and something else for the customer next to me. Finally I got my drink. Drank it , and it was not tonic, kept sipping it, thinking hmmm.. We got called to our table where we had a very good dinner,, my wife had a steak, baked potato, which she said was the best baked potato she has had in years.. I had the large prime rib. Both were delicious. We could not eat it all, brought home some Prime rib and steak,, had them for breakfast with toast & eggs next morning. Still real good. As for the drink, I believe he put club soda in it, after I sipped again. I left half there. But all in all, we will go back for sure. But I will get a beer. Mediocre diner food, but what's one to expect when hunger calls and it's the closest place nearby? I originally ordered clams casino, and about 10 minutes after I placed my order, I was told they ran out, so I settled for deep fried clams. The bf ordered a chicken cordon bleu sandwich and his mom ordered baked ziti with meatballs. The food was decent for the value, although my clams were a bit overcooked for my taste and the bf's chicken was flavorless. Thank goodness hunger is the spice of life. read more

Ordered 2 fish sandwiches to go. They came with a side of fries. Walked in and the place smelled squeaky clean! The staff person wore a mask and gloves. The wife and I have been hearing about the Hide-A-Way for about a year now. Today, we decided to give it a try and we are both very happy that we did. The staff is friendly and courteous, the atmosphere delightful. We discovered French dressing at the "all you want" salad bar, something that is a rarity these days. The clam chowder was actually chowder, not soup! The entree portions were very large and filling. I actually asked for a doggy bag .... something that I haven't needed in years. We were in search of a favorite "eat out" restaurant until tonight. We have both decided that RFH's Hide-A-Way fills the void. read more

Nice banquet room, food was good, service was great! Be warned, they do have sulfur water. You can't tell when you walk in at all, but anything that requires the use of water smells bad. They don't have bottled water, which I thought was strange, especially in the scenario. read more
