My first time here and my friend suggested the soup and salad bar. The soup of the day was a goulash and it was delish! The salad bar is smaller but has everything you would want. Fresh crisp lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, coleslaw, cottage cheese, macaroni salad, croutons, sunflower seeds, several dressings, canned fruit. I'm sure I missed some things but that's what I could remember. Our waitress was very attentive. The price was very reasonable at 11.99 for all you could eat. I'm keeping this place on my regular rotation for lunch when I'm in the area.

Chicken Fried Steak with sausage gravy over the mashed potatoes too.

I had the County Fried Steak with sausage gravy, and mashed potatoes. Sausage gravy over both. Absolutely delicious!!! The other half had the Seafood Platter with a huge piece of fish, and so many shrimp, scallops and clam strips. Both of us took enough home for a second meal. Our bill was under $45. Service was great and somewhat quick. We will definitely be back to try the many other options on the menu.

What's left of his birthday dessert. Snickerdoodle cake. Frosting was a bit sweet, but the cake was moist and full of cinnamon!

Took my hubby to RFH's Hide-a-way for his birthday. It didn't dissapoint! Huge portions, reasonable prices and always exceptional service. This family owned business is a gem. If you like leftovers, this is the place to go. The menu has a great selection of steaks, pasta, seafood and chicken choices that are not your typical menu. Their twist on some dishes makes them unique. I have never got a bad meal here! Located just south of Fulton on route 57, it's worth the drive. We'll be back for sure!

There is a smaller menu right now but the food is delicious. If you are hoping for a certain dish it may be a good idea to all that they have all the ingredients ahead of time. For example, I ordered the chopped walnut, goat cheese, and baked pear salad but was told they didn't have and baked pear when it was served to me. Otherwise the food was great. I loved that there was the RI style calamari on the menu. The butternut squash ravioli was tasteful. It's worth a visit before they close. Their last day of service is 12/31.

For anyone that doesn't know,…read morerestaurants participating in Downtown Syracuse Dining Week usually put together deals, specials, or limited menus for a set price. The variety on the 317 menu really stood out to us. The portions were sized down due to dining week, but everything was tasty! I will have to come back after dining week and try their normal offerings, but they're a bit on the pricey side so I was glad we got such a good deal tonight. Every individual glass of wine was $12, so we opted to split a $40 bottle between 4 people. The duck poutine and the pear goat cheese salad were favorites! The ambiance really stands out at 317! This historical building has so much charm, and the wood and brick made a warm, inviting setting. Some of the tables, and the bathrooms, are down a set of stairs. I think this is really unique and I liked how the restaurant used the flow of the old building, but definitely something to keep in mind if you are dining with anyone that has mobility issues. When we arrived, we waited at the entrance for a few minutes before anyone greeted us or checked us in. The entry way is a small space with tables surrounding it, so waiting was a little awkward. We only saw 2 servers working the dining areas, and the kitchen staff were delivering meals. Although it seemed like the staff was spread too thin tonight, our server, Mike, was so friendly and had a great attitude. We really enjoyed our time with him!

Our room was filled with so much charm, it just drew you in, especially a four poster grandma's feather bed with a hand knit topper. The home was filled with thousands of nick-hacks, from their travels and antiquing. One of the most memorable pieces was a ten foot tall mirror they retrieved from on top of a mantle in a mansion. Really, how tall was that ceiling, I wondered. I took in each and every item, none of which had an iota of dust on it. After our first stay there, we had to stay again. One day, no one else was home and my curiosity got the best of me and I had to peek into the other rooms. One room was undone, another had similar decor as ours and the other had an Asian theme. Our four claw bathtub was just delightful to luxuriate in. My fantasy life came alive. The toilet had a pull-chain on top and the light above the sink was sufficient for the room. Ellen, the owner, cooked breakfast and served scones, grilled grapefruit and eggs. It was absolutely delicious. I just wanted to believe an old aunt owned this home and was putting it in her will for me. It was so cozy and lovable. My honey and I wanted to stay forever, alas it was time for reality and we were gone. I would gladly stay again.

Friday is the burger special, it has beef and brisket and is juicy and delicious. The bun is always nicely toasted and it comes with cheese, lettuce, onion and tomatoes and fries. The fries are hot and crispy but there was a bit too much salt ( for me), so next time I'll remember to ask for no salt. My friend had no problem with the salt. My friend ordered the soup of the day which was Corn Chowder with Shrimp. It sounded good but I know if I have soup, I can't finish lunch. As soon as they brought out the soup and I had just a spoonful..... I had to get a bowl. Plenty of shrimp and corn , lots of flavor and it was smooth and light and delicious. I am not a fan of chowders that are thick as "pudding". We didn't have any drinks this time, but they have an amazing list of ciders, ales, beers on tap. Their own distilled spirits are excellent as well. Service is always good!
