Everything about this facility conveyed a caring attitude. We could not be more happy with the way our mother was treated at the facility.

This place is amazing!…read more We needed to move my father into an assisted living facility when his physical and mental health made it hard for my mother to care for him alone at home. A typical nursing home would not have provided the best fit in terms of a living environment for him. My mother had a company help find my dad Golden Years and More. My mom toured other similar facilities but this one stood out from the rest. It wasn't the cheapest or most expensive place, but the "right" place. They also came to my mom's home to assess my dad's condition to make sure he was the right fit for their facility too. There is a family that lives here and cares for up to eight patients. They currently have four, I believe. The family is medically trained and three to four people are there to assist residents 24-7. They cook meals, wash laundry, assist with bathing, provide activities. This family has truly found their calling! When my father needs assistance in the middle of the night, someone is right there for him. At home with my mom he was getting up and falling down - requiring my mom to call the rescue squad to help get him off of the floor. We no longer have that problem. He is cared for by a team - a family! My dad is happy there. He moved in approximately three months ago. My mom is comforted knowing he is there. My sister and I wish he was closer to us but we know he is getting better care than he would at home. His new home is welcoming. I visit weekly and it's always a pleasant visit. Plenty of private parking. Obviously the facility is handicap accessible. Nicely decorated. Private rooms.

The Herculean effort to make this transition smooth and welcoming on the part of the owners and the director of Evermore has been truly remarkable. They welcomed my dad as if he was a member of their own family. We were sure he would resist this move at every opportunity, but with the added care and attention to detail to make him feel at home, he transitioned with very little stress. We toured a number of assisted living facilities in the Northern Virginia area and none impressed us like Evermore. Beyond just the personal touches and the intimate setting, the technology was beyond my expectations. They have thought of everything to make the residents comfortable. The medical staff is wonderful! They are so gentle and considerate with my dad and we have nothing but confidence that he is being cared for with respect. This is a priority for us in keeping his dignity in tact. Any family that is considering an assisted living facility- you simply won't find a better home than Evermore.

They staff is very professional and personally know the residents. My father passed away in his apartment and the entire staff came by to pray over him and hug my mom and our family. My mom has a caregiver that each night helps her get ready for bed, tucks her in and makes sure all the lights are off and her door is locked. My mom sleeps so well! I find the administrative staff to be very responsible. When I have an issue, I contact Kimberly, the director, and she is always very kind and responsive. Alan is also very compassionate and professional. The facility always smells clean and fresh no matter when you visit. Princess is wonderful and calls me when my mom feels ill to let me know what the dr has prescribed and to see if I have concerns. She is wonderful about knowing my mom and when she isn't herself she calls the dr and makes sure she is ok. I highly recommend this facility! They are wonderful to their residents and the resident's families too!

I have to admit that before I got my mother there I never considered to get this kind of assistance for her because I was under the impression that nobody can take care of her better than myself. Alina, Geta and Marcel proved me wrong: While my Mom is not the easiest going person in the world mainly due to her Dementia, those girls managed to win her heart in just one day. So that is really impressive! Impressive also is the way everything is organized there and how clean and cozy the place is. I have only superlatives to say about everything there. I would say without a shade of a doubt that the definition of "Care" should mention Love'em Care from Woodbridge.

Two days after we left her there, they called while we were on the road to complain about her behavior. They then called at 2:00 AM for the next 2 nights to complain about Mom's behavior. On the third night, we did not get a call but that morning we got an email stating that Mom was being discharged at noon that day. Fortunately, we had contacts in the Prince William County Care Giver Community and they came through for us. Their contract stated that they would give us 30 days notice if they decided to discharge Mom but we didn't even get 24 hours notice. It's obvious to us that they have no experience with demetia patients.
