There are no spots for guests to park on the main floor. you send everyone down to the bottom floor so when we go to leave, we have to have someone escort to the elevator to put a code in. This is ridiculous and a waste of time for staff and visitors. Don't understand why one parking garage floor is code free and all the rest have a code. This needs to be looked at and the fact that you get berated by someone on the intercom when you enter saying don't park in a reserve spot is very unkind and makes people not want to visit. I don't know if these reserve spots are for concierge parking or if this is for residence but it's gotten way out of hand. All these reserve spots were not there when this community first opened and Ivan a year ago, but it seems every week there's a new sign posted in another spot.

I completely understand that his job is to keep traffic moving and make sure vehicles are not blocking the entrance or interfering with residents and visitors. However, I was not blocking anyone or preventing traffic from getting through, and I did not feel the situation warranted the way he spoke to me. When people are coming here to visit or pick up elderly family members, they should be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism. A simple, respectful explanation or request would have been more than enough. Management should address how parking staff communicate with residents' families and guests because this interaction left a very negative impression.

The ratio of staff to residents is very low, three residents per caregiver. The eight-resident home is huge, immaculate, and filled with great amenities to help the residents enjoy life. I was there around lunch time. The food their chef prepared smelled very appetizing to me. The residents were comfortable and happy. I am clear this is a great option for seniors. Both of my parents were assisted care residents for the last chapter of their lives. Despite the reluctance to leave their home, each enjoyed better health and were happier than being in their home. Had they been at VIE Village, I am sure the benefits would have been even greater.

Residents who are incontinent are neglected and frequent urinating issues occur in public areas which lends itself to that typical nursing home urine smell. The limited staff become engaged with very ill residents that should be in a nursing home which takes away from the level of care the general population could/should receive. It is all about occupancy rates and it appears they take anyone - regardless of their care needs. Management turns over frequently which creates a poorly run, disorganized, understaffed facility. If you're considering this facility, save your money. Hire a private aid and keep your loved one at home.

My experience with the first two agencies was frankly terrible, and it drove me to put in a LOT of effort and time into finding individuals I could hire directly. But when my own knee surgery resulted in a short-term need, it seemed a good opportunity to try another agency. I'm so glad that I did! Assisting Hands is now part of my long-term strategy for making this care arrangement work as long as it possibly can. A geriatric care manager -- in a position to know about many different agencies -- recommended Assisting Hands to me. From the start it has been a significantly different and better experience than working with other agencies. They are large enough to truly have their act together, yet small enough to be incredibly personable and accessible. Their caring, responsiveness, flexibility and efficiency are truly fantastic. They get the big important things right: they ask smart questions and truly listen to your answers to try to find people ideally suited to your needs; they have a large pool of truly qualified people to draw from; they work really hard to have one caregiver cover as many of your requested shifts as possible even when it's a non-standard, changeable schedule; they don't pressure you for more hours than you need, nor pass you from one administrator to another every week; they don't artificially jack up prices when they hear desperation in your voice or shame and blame you when a caregiver doesn't fit your needs. They also get the secondary details right: they are always reachable, their response time is incredible, their nurse does an intake in the least obtrusive way possible and even then only when required by Maryland state law or the tasks involved, caregivers can login via an app that utilizes GPS for an efficient time card system, they can help with longterm care insurance reimbursement, and paying invoices is a snap online. I really couldn't ask for more. They get my highest recommendation...and my continued business!

Found this practice through yelp! My previous chiropractor stopped seeing patients due to the…read morepandemic, and I was in such pain I couldn't just wait until he started back up again. I was able to get in and be seen fairly quickly. The doctor and the staff are nice and very personable. She also has good office hours so it works with my schedule like 99% of the time! Within the first initial visit, I felt much better. I've been with my previous chiropractor for a year and he only managed my symptoms of pain, never the root cause. Like, shouldn't it be weird that a 23 year old has the pain of an 80 year old!?!? Like come on. Within the first couple sessions, Dr. Taheri was able to pinpoint my issues with the help of x-rays (which my previous chiro never even thought about) and lots of awesome chiro techniques she uses. My pain has went from EXTREME chronic 8-9/10 on the pain scale to a 5-6/10 after a few visits. She has extensive knowledge of human anatomy, symptom management, and bedside manner and I'm glad to say I'm switching to her!
