I will leave that call to reviewers that know Guatemalan cuisine. I wouldn't know authentic Guatemalan food if I had a mouth full of it. All I know is that it was tasty, and not Mexican food. I had a picture on my phone that a Google reviewer had posted. It looked delicious. I showed the picture to the owner and asked what they were. Guatemalan Enchiladas was his reply. I followed that question with "are they on the menu, I can't find them?" His response "No, But I will make them for you." He did. I also asked if he had a salsa picante to go with them. He replied yes and in the same sentence warned this gringo that it was very hot. It was perfect on the enchiladas. My wife went with a breakfast plate, Desayuno Chapin. While we were waiting, the owner brought out two fried corn tortillas spread with a thin creamy tasty layer of black beans. Both were finished with a sprinkling of tangy sharp cotija cheese. A nice complimentary appetizer. The plates arrived. Mine was three fried corn tortillas (tostada shells) covered with a generous salad of fried shredded cabbage, carrot, and pickled beets. A good portion of fried chicken breast cut into small pieces was on top of the salad, then finished with cilantro. I got tricked into eating somewhat healthy. I enjoyed the meal. My wife's breakfast meal was scrambled eggs, creamy smooth black beans, fried plantains, a big chunk of mild queso fresco, a dollop of mayonnaise and tortillas to scoop it all up with. She added some of the salsa picante to spice it up. She loved the food.

Genuine Mexican food made from scratch!…read more This is authentic Mexican food with flavor. Three birria beef filled tacos and a side of beans for me. My wife had the sopes. The tacos were generously filled with tender well-seasoned beef, sprinkled with onion bits and a few cilantro leaves, folded in fresh house made corn tortillas. The ubiquitous Mexican restaurant green and red plastic bottles of salsa were delivered with the plates of food. Tasty salsas essential for bringing the heat and spice up to my standards. These were delicious. With the beans it was a filling plate of food. My wife had the sopes with chopped steak. A thick crispy corn tortilla, a layer of beans, piled with chopped steak, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and all decorated with queso fresco and sour cream. Two were a meal. Table service, food served on real plates not foam to go containers, no chips and salsa. Excellent friendly service from the young lady working today. The little restaurant is clean and comfortable. Really good fresh "Genuine Authentic Mexican Food."

The menus are different though, this is the only location that has a full breakfast menu. Their hours are a bit different as well (this location closes at 6pm as of now). The family is from Jalisco and their menu offers staple Mexican dishes like fajitas, enchiladas and chiles rellenos. Can't wait to try their shrimp ceviche. I first contacted them because I needed to order trays of breakfast tacos for an event. Breakfast tacos are extremely hard to find in Tulsa! After calling 5 different places with no luck, I finally found them. They have them as part of a platter with rice and beans but they were willing to only make the tacos for me. Customer service was extremely friendly, flexible, and helpful! Not only were they willing to make a bunch of tacos for me as a special catering order, but they also opened earlier than usual on a Saturday morning so they would be fresh for the event. They handmade the corn tortillas that morning! I could've just eaten the tortillas by themselves, they were SO good! The tacos had two tortillas, scrambled eggs, chorizo, avocado, combo cheese and sour cream. They were so good! They also made some without chorizo in case of dietary needs. I really appreciated them being flexible and going above and beyond for me. I will be returning soon to try their camarones a la diabla (spicy shrimp) and their full breakfast menu. Their chilaquiles look amazing and they let you have half with green salsa and half with red!

The updated interior is very clean and inviting, with a mix of seating options depending on your mood. They offer a variety of drink options, including self serve stations and bar selections. The staff is friendly and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, which always makes the experience better. Food comes out all at once, which I appreciate because you are not waiting between dishes. I ordered: * Lamb empanada with Chipotle mayo * House salad * Mixto with mahi mahi and shrimp * tres leche cake The lamb empanada was soft, juicy, and full of flavor. The house salad came with a lemon dressing that was fresh and bright. Adding the chipotle mayo as a dip for the empanada was a great choice and added another layer of flavor. The mixto was a standout. The mahi mahi and shrimp were both tender and sat in a flavorful curry sauce that paired perfectly with the rice. The plantain chips added a satisfying crunch, and the vegetable based dip that came with them was a great complement to the dish. For dessert, I tried the tres leches cake because the house made ice cream was not yet available. It was a nice, sweet finish to the meal. Overall, this is a spot I would return to. The food is flavorful, the space is well designed, and the service makes the experience feel welcoming from start to finish.

They were busy the night that we went so our food didn't come out as fast as I would have liked, but regardless of how busy it was, the food was great and the service was spot on. Since March 2023, they have expanded to serving Peruvian cuisine only on Wednesday and Thursday while continue to serve Venezuelan cuisine from Friday to Tuesday. I am not exactly sure why not just serve Venezuelan and Peruvian cuisine everyday. I came in on a Thursday and was limited to the white menu, Peruvian cuisine only. Not happy already because the main reason why I came in was to try the 3 meat combo from the grill. Nevertheless, I decided to stay and got the tallarin saltado with is sautéed sirloin beef stir fried with onions, tomatoes, and noodles. I actually prefer this dish over the lomo saltado with comes with rice and fries which I had the day before. The restaurant was really slow on Thursday evening and presumably Wednesday as well. Google still shows that they are not open on these days. There was just one other table dining and the restaurant was dead silence. There was just one worker, maybe two, but one person should be enough. They really should just provide both Venezuelan and Peruvian food all the time, not 2 days of Peruvian and 5 days of Venezuelan. It just adds too much confusion and may result in customer's dissatisfaction like me today. I really don't want the restaurant to become KzeroGrill in the distant future.

There's a variety of seating available, booths that can hold up to six people, several high top tables and regular two and four seat tables. As you walk in the front doors the bar is immediately the focal point at the back of the restaurant. Throughout the restaurant are lights hanging from the ceiling with oversized wicker-like shades. Lighting is thoughtfully done, not too bright, not too dark. Our server was very attentive and was eager to answer all our questions and we did have quite a few because the menu was rather unique. We had questions about some of the ingredients and portion sizes. Half of the menu is more Tappas style; great for sharing because the portions are generous. The other half of the menu is more entrée sized and our table of six ordered a variety of items from both sides of the menu. The beet salad (Remolacha) was fabulous, with good size chunks of beets mixed with peanuts and Pomegranate and crema plus a few other ingredients. My entree was the Frita Cubana a chorizo-spiced beef patty with egg, cheese, onion, shoestring fries, aioli, served on a yummy brioche bun. It was delicious. We shared the PROVOLETA, Melted provolone with chimichurri served in a cast iron pan with toasted sourdough for dipping. Awesome. CROQUETAS are 3 roughly golf ball sized fried lump crab cakes, with lemon aioli and chives, also awesome. There was a happy hour which our server neglected to mention until it was too late but our overall experience was excellent and we'll be back!

If it has pictures, I can point.... Catrachitas came to the table first. Okay let's stop right there. This is where the you request the salsa. I asked the waitress for salsa picante. She went back to the kitchen and after a few minutes brought out a small bowl of spicy deliciousness. It went perfectly with everything we ordered. The catrichitas were small fried corn tortillas, with a thin layer of beans and the grated Mexican cheese on top [cotija]. Very good. My wife chose the Pinchos de Camaron. Shrimp skewered with peppers and onions then grilled, beans, salad, thin sliced plantains and a dipping sauce. She raved about the textures, how the flavors complemented each other and freshness. The salsa worked well too! I had seen a picture of the Tacos Hondureños and could not get past it. Three corn tortillas, filled with shredded chicken, sliced green pepper and onion then deep fried, fresh cabbage on top, dressing and pickled onions. Add the magic salsa and it was perfect. Last comment about the food....the plantains were cooked just the way I like them , thin and crispy! A small, modest, little obscure restaurant. They do now accept credit cards! The current menu is posted with this review date. Recommended!
