Still one of my favorites in all of Tulsa! Over the last year or so they've made some major upgrades too! With a beautiful renovation inside featuring beautiful art and mural on the wall, it's a wonderful choice for a sit down lunch - especially since most everything seems to be made to order. They also now offer online ordering which makes picking up/carry out easier than ever! With how hot the food comes out, it retains heat quite well and is still warm by the time I get to where I'm going. The staff themself are always welcoming and put effort and care in to every order and service they provide! Pro tip: you can never have too much of their green sauce - it goes with everything!

So good! The cheese sticks were awesome. I've also never had an Arepa before and it was great! I liked that it was gluten free. I also enjoyed their passion fruit juice too. It was very refreshing!

El Arepaso is a small family owned Venezuelan Cafe that has been in business since 2019. The restaurant offers a very selected selection of dishes that are authentic and delicious. The patacon is a fried plantain sandwich with cabbage, lettuce, tomato, ham, cheese, pink sauce, and chicken or shredded beef. If you like plantains, you have to try this sandwich. Its very unique; I haven't seen it elsewhere, and so delicious on top. For some reason, I got chicken instead of beef but I think the person at the counter didn't get the order correctly. Nevertheless, the chicken was great. I didn't try the other 3 dishes but that just gives me another reason to come back. With El Arepaso, coming back is a piece of cake. I love this place based on this initial visit.

Just excellent. Bursting with flavor. Warmed the tummy on a cold day. Everything we tried was scrumptious. We especially enjoyed the Pabellon empanadas with shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantain and cheese. The Yucatan Frida also tasty. Nice airy atmosphere. Great service.

Friend took me here last summer and I haven't forgot about it. I've only tried the Pabillon arepa and damn, it's good. Fried bread with plantains and a large portion of beef brisket with cheese. Simple but amazing. The workers are really sweet and efficient. The space has multiple tables. I definitely need to come back and try more. Especially the desserts I see.

El Arepaso is a hidden gem in South Tulsa! Food is always hot fresh and delicious! Service is friendly. I highly recommend the Plantain Sandwich with Chicken. Also a very cool array of South American drinks and sodas! Tastes like something out of this country! Picture attached below!

They put the red and white checkered paper in the bottom of the tray for a reason! The first thing I noticed was that El Arepaso Venezuelan Café is a well kept clean little shop. Tidy, pleasantly decorated. Order at the counter, pay at the counter. The food is served on disposable tableware and the drinks are bottled. The young lady working the counter was very nice. The food..... I have found my Venezuelan soul food meal at El Arepaso Venezuelan Café, the "Pepito." When I saw the picture of that beef sandwich covered in "potato stix," I was pulled in. It was no disappointment. Tender lean chopped steak, lettuce, onion, cheese, bell pepper, some of every kid of sauce they have, and of course potato stix! The sandwich is put in a press, smashing the soft sub style bun to about a quarter of an inch thick; finished with a toasty crust. An explosion of flavor. The best Venezuelan food item I have eaten. You will throw rocks at a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, once you have had this. I hoovered it up! My wife went for the Pabellon Empanada. A boring looking fried pie thing. How deceptive. It was another phenomenal Venezuelan food item. Shredded beef, plantains, black beans, cheese, wrapped in a thick handmade corn tortilla, deep fried, served with a perfect avocado flavored sauce on the side. My wife raved about how good it was, while she was eating it, and all the way home! You may know that checkered flag in car racing means "the end of the race." It's over. Similar reason for the red and white checkered paper in the bottom of the tray. It is there for your safety. It means stop eating. There is no more food. It acts as a warning to keep you from eating the cardboard tray. The food was that good.

So far this is the only Venezuelan restaurant I have come across that is open on a regular schedule . Flavors are on point, but prices are a little expensive imo. I like the arepas the best. The tequeños are good but not the best tequeños is I have tried. The establishment itself needs a little help with the looks, but I like that everything is very fresh. I personally like my plantains more ripe, unless I am having tostones. They have a long menu and I must admit I have not tried the desserts nor the empanadas. I will keep coming here... yet, I wish the prices were cheaper.

You know you're about to eat at a "nice restaurant" but that you would be welcome in all types of dress anytime of day. I went to the restroom while my husband ordered drinks, I told him to surprise me. The waitress helped him order and he ended up ordering a drink called The Bees Knees. I loved it! He got a ranch water, boring lol. For an appetizer we shared the Crabback. It's basically a fancy crab cake but man was it delicious. Best crab cake type appetizer I have ever had. For dinner we shared the Escovitch Red Snapper. It came with rice and beans and plantains but we traded the plantains for the butternut squash soup. The fish was so tender and flaky. It was topped beautiful, thinly sliced pickled veggys and two huge grilled shrimp. The rice and beans were mixed together and the perfect pairing with the fish. This dish was 10/10 and we will definitely get it again. The butternut squash soup was so creamy and flavorful, best we have had. This restaurant is such a great place to try new food and get some of the yummiest drinks. It's a great place to eat if you are downtown for a concert or show. If you like to expand your horizons and try unique food that is hard to find anywhere else, if you can even find it, then run to Sisserou's in downtown Tulsa.
