Pheasant with Parmesan sauce. Pretty good.

Bama Bucks is a cool Zoo/Restaurant (although the featherless ostriches and bears in a small cage are disturbing) . The food is good enough and the staff is good enough but not good enough to compensate for the hour plus wait for a table (caused by the literal one hour wait between the time food is ordered and arrives). And the guy who delivers the food is the worst (just dumps off the food). A high note was the guitar player in the courtyard. Tim Johnson he was excellent.

This review is just for the food and restaurant. We didn't go into the animal park because we'd just come from Tigers for Tomorrow and had our fill of wildlife viewing, lol. Came here for lunch Friday last week with a large group after aforementioned TFT visit. Reading how popular this place is, I was worried it would be a struggle to seat us all (party of 12), but we only had to wait a few minutes while they pulled some tables together. Walking up to the restaurant there are a few little pockets to look at stuff for sale, much of it hunting/wildlife/wild game themed. There were some really funny taxidermy animals and plenty of souvenirs. There's a larger indoor gift shop that also houses a resident live sloth. The sloth was sleeping, of course, but fun to look at and you're allowed to shop while you wait for your meal, so we took turns poking around. The decor really is fun and to me it's almost worth a trip based on the novelty of it all alone. Our waitress was fine. We had a lot of questions about the menu but she mostly just said everything was good, which I guess is a fine opinion to have but didn't help us make a decision, lol. Food was a little slow to come out but they got the modifications for the kids right and no mistakes on our food either. On to the food -- I actually think I was the happiest with what I got out of everyone. A rarity. And if anyone else had written this review, it might've only been a 3 star. But I was happy! I got the fiesta chicken (grilled chicken with queso, peppers and onions, and tortilla strips) with broccoli and sweet potato fries. I also ate a couple of the complimentary rolls -- they were yummy yeast rolls and freshly baked! My chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked and I enjoyed the myriad flavors of the toppings. The broccoli was plain but tender and plentiful. The sweet potato fries were extra sweet but I prefer them that way. They were nice and crispy too. My fellow diners got a bunch of stuff -- burgers, several French dips, a couple of wild game steaks and beef steaks for the kids, etc. the French dip didn't look that good to me and no one who ordered it finished it; they said it was weirdly sweet. The elk steak was tough and dry but the bison ribeye was better received. I didn't try either because I'm a wuss, lmao. I'm glad I ordered what I did and I would reorder it if I happen to ever return.

First time here, we had about 40 minute wait but it was well worth it. Food was delicious and service was great even though they were busy. Loved all the things on the wall. Perfect place for large groups.

If you have the chance stop in and eat at Bama Bucks! Shamira is the best server ever. Friendly, attentive, and quick. The food was flavorful, fresh, and filling. They have animal enclosures in the back. We watched kangaroos, ostriches, raccoons, camels and more while we waited on our table. Cute gift shop. Love everything about it and I found it very reasonably priced.

The New York Cheesecake with blueberry sauce! It's heaven on a plate! 10/10

The 35 day dry ages split bone ribeye was melt in your mouth amazing! The garlic mashed potatoes were mouth watering, bursting with flavor! The asparagus was cooked to perfection, with that crisp first bite and seasoned to perfection! The onion rings were superb and the baked beans... they were the best I have ever tasted! The New York Cheesecake with the blueberry sauce and peanut butter pie were the absolute best I have ever tasted!! I give Bama Bucks a 10/10 for the food! The presentation of the food was breathtakingly beautiful! The service was a little slow seating (Valentine's Day so that's expected) but so well worth the wait! Tables set nicely with a single rose at every table! Very well decorated inside and out! Even though they were slam packed our waitress was very attentive to our table, made sure we had everything we needed and was not overbearing but so kind and courteous! Best date night I've had with my husband in a good while! We plan to go back soon to try more of their exotic food experiences soon! If you have never eaten here it's A+, 10/10, an absolute perfect experience!

Our family loves to go to Bama Bucks!!! The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and the friendliest staff!!! Now for the food... To start off, try the Fried Pimento Cheese Balls with homemade Pepper Jelly... They are Delicious!! Personally, my favorite dish is the Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast on a bed of Seasoned Rice with Sautéed Vegetables and choice of additional side (love their salads) and of course the Yeast Rolls with whipped Butter... My husband loves the American Angus Burger and mashed potatoes!! We've also enjoyed the the Trophy Mount 14oz Ribeye, topped with Melted Tomato Butter, Baked potato and Side Salad (and I have to mention the Sweet Potato Fries and fried green tomatoes). After you eat be sure to check out the Gift Shop with Fiona, the two toed Sloth, and the colony of Honey Bees working their sweet magic. Finally, enjoy a short after dinner stroll around the through the Exotic Animal Park!! You will not be disappointed planning a trip to this Wonderfully Unique Restaurant!!!

Walk around the animal reserve or rock in chairs on the front porch while you wait for your table. Come early for a shorter wait. Worth the drive. Delicious food too.

Food and atmosphere are always great! The service was good, but it took our food a long time to come out.

Wow! Really, really, really impressed at how delicious this place was. We were road-tripping in…read morethe area and decided to stop in for lunch, and I'm so glad we did! Cleveland is a small town that would be easy for many to miss, but a trip to the area for this restaurant alone is worth it. It seems a fairly popular spot for lunch and also boasts a small local collection of art, the profits of which go to support a local addiction recovery group. Very kind. The restaurant is clearly owned and operated by Christian folks as evidenced by the decorations, but the churchy feeling is very welcoming and not at all proselytizing. Likewise, the service was effusively kind and helpful. They were happy to chat and answer questions about the menu. They greeted each customer with a smile on their face and made appropriate small-talk with regulars. An older gentleman who was clearly hard of hearing was treated with heaps of patience and kindness; he seemed a regular and they said goodbye to him and reassured him they'd be waiting for him when he visited again the following week. It was so sweet and did my heart good. :) The menu has a lot of fancy sandwiches, a few entree salads, and a few entrees like smoked chicken and loaded baked potatoes. Sides are sort of upscale bbq/southern restaurant (grits, greens, potato salad, beans, etc). The prices are appropriate for the portion size and very high quality of the food. I ordered their "Ranch Burger" sans red onion and tomato while both of my parents got the patty melt. I tried their macaroni and cheese for a side; both 'rents got the baked potato salad. Our food was cooked fresh so it took a few minutes to come out; it was more than worth the wait. I will go ahead and get out of the way that the only not gold-star-worthy item was the macaroni and cheese. It wasn't bad, but it seemed like it had been reheated and it was just sort of gloopy and a little oily. I'd get my parents' baked potato salad over that next time; it had fresh-cooked crumbled bacon bits on it and was so smoky and cool. Holy MOLY the sandwiches, yall. The patties were hand-formed on both, steaming hot and cooked perfectly. Nice balance of fattiness too. My burger was an awesome symphony of flavor: slightly sweet, soft pretzel bun, melted sharp cheddar, creamy ranch, and this amazing sweet-and-salty bacon jam that perfectly tied the whole thing together. The copious amount of ranch made it a little hard to eat, but paper towels were readily available and I smashed that dang burger. As delicious as it was, my parents' patty melts may have been even better. Same great burger, add delightfully crispy, thick-cut bacon and this absolutely fabulous cheese dip...WOW. Hard to describe how incredible both sandwiches were, so with that in mind: go TRY THEM yourself. Thanks so much for one of the best meals I've had in a good while!
