Honestly this place is peaceful and relaxing to Walk and getting some fresh air to relieve myself

I visit this park for walks and birding! And it is great for both!! Walking paths are mostly paved, but some hard packed trails do go through forested areas and are not paved. There are a number of habitats, including the Chattahoochee river, small ponds, a meadow, swamp like areas, forests, and playing fields. All of these spots make for great birding and give one the opportunity to see a pretty wide variety of birds. I have had a great deal of luck here seeing Osprey, Hawks, Cormorants and more. A number of different types of sparrows hang here, too, especially Savannah sparrows. Different wrens can be found here at different points throughout the year, too. Great and colorful warblers pass through. And I am still trying to catch that Eastern Meadowlark that many have seen! This is a beautiful spot. It is well visited, but I wouldn't say it has been crowded on any of my visits. Ample parking is available, and this park may have the nicest restroom facilities of any park I have visited! Enjoy it with a friend the next time we have a gorgeous spring day!

This park is a complex facility. It has some paved trails running to the water with bridges that look recently built. There are ample bathrooms and the main purpose of this park is its various athletic facilities. It's clearly a very nice place to go for sports, but I found it a perfectly good walk as well.

Great park unfortunately some discourteous people came here and mess it up for the others. More so at this park than say Wills Park or even McDaniel park. I saw someone defacat*d in the sink this park is like what less than a year old, and it's already ruined. This is my 6th time here and I don't dare use their restrooms after that encounter. There is a gigantic soccer field, volley ball court, 3.2 trails (synthetic pavement), and a basketball court. Be careful at the roundabout in front cause I saw 6-8 people packed in a small Toyota Corolla going a bit too fast and losing control on the first day of the parks opening. Think the hood of their car was totaled. I thought McDaniel Park has bad mannered folks but this one surrounded by upscale homes don't change the fact of the people. Near northview high school and Bellemore subdivision.another bad park is Shakerag Park

Hard to go to if you wanna get in a really good walk Saturday morning there's always a lot of people out walking on the Pickleball courts or volleyball courts.

Such a cute park! I've done everything from maternity pictures in front of the farmhouse to Sunday…read moremorning walks with my dog. A year later, I got to bring my baby back to that exact spot where I had my maternity shoot, which made it even more special. They also have an awesome playground for toddlers and up, with a super cute farm theme, and everything is kept in impeccable condition. It's a beautiful, spacious park, and they have a large dog park too. One thing to note: the park has two separate sides, so plan accordingly when you visit.

Such a spacious and cute park. Bonus: There are various critters like deer, dragon flies,…read morebutterflies, critters like a large brown millipede looking thing (see my photo). The park itself had ample parking spaces. And the facilities there were clean and well maintained. There were various trails that's away from the main paved path. These side trails were nicely shaded and eventually leads back on the main path. The historic farm structures like the main house, farmhouse, side house and its outhouse are still erect. That's the charm of this place with the well groomed flower garden that someone upkeeps. The old and new altogether. As you wander the park, you forget you're in the heart of Duluth where shopping and restaurants galore await you. Because while you're talking around (and trying not to sweat to death during the summer), you'll hear the summer insects buzzing. It literally reminded me of my childhood during the summers hearing the loud insects buzz away.
