I ordered curbside pickup and was able to choose an appropriate time. My food was delivered by a friendly face with a mask (Thank you). Everything that I ordered was simply delicious. I created a grain meal and also ordered a small pita sandwich. I ate my creation of the grain meal- the rice was delicious; the braised lamb was scrumptious; the feta and all of my toppings were fresh and tasty. I ate the small pita for lunch the next day. After a modest reheating the small pita was great. It was the best pita bread that wasn't made by my family. I plan to return and order again soon. Really delicious fresh food. CAVA is one of my favorite places to eat, so I was excited when they opened this location. The inside is super clean and modern, with lots of seating available. The team was still in training when I went, but they were kind and quick. They made sure to warn that the harissa was hot, and reminded me about the upcharge for harissa chicken. The food was so fresh, and they used just the right amount of toppings. Some times, other locations will give way too much and it's overwhelming. I ordered a salad and was charged for a bowl. Cashier didn't even give me a receipt at first, probably because she knew she made a mistake. I had to ask for the receipt and as you can see I was charged for a bowl when I ordered a salad. When I brought up the fact that they overcharged me, instead of correcting their mistake the cashier proceeded to argue with me and said I told her that I ordered a bowl. Apparently she couldn't tell the difference between lettuce and rice. I won't be back to this place and I'll definitely be telling friends not to go here. read more

Was here for Zoe's kitchen but it became Cava. I thought I'd try anyways, so we did. I'm happy so customize everything that I wanted. Everything is good except one complaint, the food was very very salty. I ordered a salad bowl with lamb and chicken. Meat is salty the salad with toppings is salty. As a healthy place im concerned about the sodium intake here. My husband's meal is also salty. This place would be just as good as Zoe's kitchen if it's not so salty in my opinion. read more

I normally come to this location and usually have no problems with my orders. The food is great. Yet customer service remains subpar unfortunately. I ordered two bowls with grilled chicken for pickup at 9pm. I heard the staff say they ran out of harissa honey chicken to another customer, so I assumed my order was intact. But I was wrong. This is by far the best Cava restaurant in Hampton Roads! Ali and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The lamb meatballs are incredible and this location seems to follow the recipe perfectly. Excited to see Cava has joined Hampton Roads! I fell in love with this place in D.C. Fresh and flavorful ingredients as expected. However, the falafel were way overcooked, so much that the chickpeas inside were burnt. Big disappointment since falafel is usually one of the best items on the menu. I wholeheartedly understand the pressure and importance of working in a service industry. I was disappointed in how the situation was handled with another employee. First time customer. We were looking for quality fast food after the gym that actually tasted good. This place was perfect. Fresh hot ingredients and great variety. Cava is such a great restaurant! I go almost once a week. The staff is so friendly and seem like they all work well together. I've ordered pita chips twice from this location and they seem to be made to order so I always get them fresh! The last two times, it has been a wait on the pita chips but I do not mind at all! The service is horrible. Ordered takeout for four meals, brought a bag to the counter and said here you go. There was only one meal in the bag. When I asked them about the others they said let me check, they came back with one more meal and said here you go. I said I'm still missing stuff. After multiple eye rolls came back out with a bag. Not a good day today. I ordered curbside and sat out front for 15 minutes. Called the store to see if my order was ready and no one picked up! Meanwhile I'm looking right in the store and there were no customers currently being served, so it wasn't like they were busy. I get out the car and go in to get the order myself and get absolutely no greeting. The girl sitting right by the pick up area assembling silverware didn't even look up. A huge difference in service from my first curbside experience and it will be my last. Couldn't even enjoy my food because all I could think was how cold it was. Stopped into town for a quick trip, had a hankering for Mediterranean and or Middle Eastern food. This spot was phenomenal! The lamb meatballs wrapped in pita with all the veggies, AMAZING!! The pickles and the pickled red onions and sauces and harissa take this pita over the top!! It's a little messy to eat, which is why I didn't take any pics, but there are plenty of napkins to clean your face and hands. Seriously, give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.
