We were here on a Thursday evening at around 6pm, it wasn't busy yet and we were able to get a seat right away. There is limited parking right outside and you may need to drive around to find one. Our server was nice and came often to check on us and making sure we had enough water. We got the Lobster Tots as an appetizer and it was ok, I really anticipated it to have more lobster and have more flavor. My entree was the shrimp roll (I got the grilled) and fries, again, it was ok, I think I may of liked it more if I got the fried shrimp instead but the Jersey sauce that comes with it was really good and the bread was buttery and crispy. My cocktail, The Slaparita, I would definitely get again. Side note, unfortunately the restrooms were not clean or stocked.

There are some people I know who don't eat any seafood here because we are Land locked, and while I wish I could be that careful, I love seafood too much to wait until I can get to FL, so on national oyster day I wanted oysters that I did not have to shuck myself and Slapfish was close, I'm glad I decided to visit. It's a great location! You order at the counter and they bring it to you, my oysters were savory and delicious and I paired them with a crisp sauv b, can't wait to go back and check out more of their menu!

Popped into slapfish for a quick lunch in between errands and I tried the street tacos for the first time! Two fried fish tacos topped with sauce, cabbage, pickled onions and cilantro is the perfect portion size. I also got a cup of lobster bisque on the side. Very fast service and the ambiance was great as usual.

Amazing seafood in Fisher's! We tried an array of dishes from the menu, and none disappointed. From the deviled eggs (must try!) to rolls and the tacos you cannot go wrong with you order. If you are looking to sample highly recommend the roll trio cause you get to try shrimp, crab, and lobster rolls. The fries are crisp and seasoned well. The blacked grouper was flaky and grilled to perfection. The service was a okay overall. No distinct set yourself or wait to be seated direction, an. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Some advice come early! Indoor and outdoor seating options, but they are a busy place. Rightfully so since the food is delicious!

3 Fish Tacos!! So good--yum! Mine is fried, you can get it grilled.

2 trips to Slapfish in two days! How lucky am I? The bottom line is that while the delicious food and menu are the same, the vibe is very different. Today, I'm in the Fishers District location. Yesterday I met a friend at Carmel Market District location. It was lunchtime and they attract shoppers looking for a snack. Their other customers are connected with IU Hospital Carmel. It's table service after you order at the counter with a self-service beverage. Fishers District is more of an open-air restaurant concept. The front window opens. There are patio tables, so you can see and be seen. (Very Fishers District--outdoor seating is "de rigueur" at Fishers District eateries.) I tried a cup of the clam chowder with my fish tacos--it was creamy and delicious! I highly recommend the establishment and both locations.

Slapfish is just the right mix of sit down and casual. Coming from California, I love good seafood. The food is always fresh and the portions are great. Haven't had anything on the menu that I do not like. The fish tacos are my go-to, and the dressing for the salad is yummy! Most locations you order at the front and they bring your food to you but the fishers location has table service on Friday and the weekend. Also has a great patio!

We had ordered DoorDash from the downtown location a couple years ago. So when we were in area of this location we decided to give them a try. Visited on New Years Day and they weren't busy at all. We were greeted and seated promptly Our server was wonderful. He gave recommendations and was very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. They have a bar and beers on tap However we opted for Coke Zero today App- lobster crab dip was creamy and had lots of meat in it. Seasoned perfectly. The homemade chips are crunchy like a kettle chip and dusted with old bay seasoning. Portion was large enough for 2-3 people Clobster grilled cheese- filled with lots of lobster and crab very cheesy and toasted perfectly. Fries are fresh natural cut and dusted with old bay. I would have preferred them to have been cooked a little longer however that is just a personal preference. Surf and turf burger- burger lacked salt but that yet again could be a personal preference other than that it was really good. Lots of lobster meat on top. The tomatoes were fresh. The caramelized onions were a perfect addition. This is a large portion item. The decor is so cute and authentically pleasing. Overall amazing experience and will be back. Also if you have the toast app be sure to put your phone number in as I earned 8$ to use on a future purchase.

I went there twice in one week since I am staying at the Hyatt. The first time I really enjoyed the petite lobster roll and lobster dip & chips. The fish taco was okay, had too much going on in it or maybe I was just already full with the roll. Service was good until they gave me the check. I was still working on my chips and the server took my plate already as I was paying. So I felt kind of dissapointed. But I did go back again and this time I got the lobster roll and clam chowder. Service was better as I had a different server. The food can be pricey but it was worth it.

The place is clean, well lit. Under our table, the floor is a bit sticky. May be prev customer spilled a drink or something. They are friendly and helpful. Foods came out pretty fast. Delicious and cooked well. Somehow all of our orders come with lots of fries. Great to be able to try.

Visited Slapfish with my dad, and it ended up being one of his favorite meals of the trip. We shared the lobster deviled eggs as an appetizer, and they were a definite hit! A fun and unexpected twist on a classic. I ordered the Power Bowl from the gluten-free menu, and it was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling heavy. My dad went with the fish and chips and really enjoyed it - crispy, golden, and perfectly cooked. The food was great, the service was friendly, the vibe was casual and upbeat. Definitely a location I'll be recommending and returning to!

7.17 & 7.19.25 -- had lunch with a work associate/friend on Thursday, and went back with my mom & the hubs on Saturday! For the first lunch, I had the grilled fish sandwich with the side salad (choiceof fries, slaw or salad), and my friend had the Hawaiian bowl -- grilled shrimp over a salad with nice chunks of pineapple. My sandwich had a nice soft bun and a good size of flaky fish. The side salad has a nice variety of fresh veggies (tomatoes, rashish, carrot), not just a greens mix. Yesterday, we got an appetizer of fried oysters, which were about a half dozen and came over piping hot friench fries, plus sides of ketchup and two other dipping sauces. My mom had the lobster roll and cole slaw, I had the lobster grinder (mix of lobster, shimp & fish - like a seafood salad) and side salad, and the hubs had the slapfish shrimp scampi. (see pics of all.) We each has a soft drink/ice tea. The food is beautiful, plentiful and tasty. You order at the counter but they bring to your table and you have waited service after you order. Lunch for the 3 of us was $89 before tip. #yum #ReviewsByRL

I love Slapfish and am never disappointed when I go here, especially this location! Love that the seafood always tastes fresh and delicious, and the food is always prepared very well. The restaurant is kind of small, so I recommend getting a reservation during the weekends, however, I was able to walk in around 5:30pm on a Saturday and get seated right away. I love the nautical decorations, and that the restaurant is clean. All the parking around is free, but there's limited parking right outside the restaurant. There's a super close free parking garage, but the parking spots are super tight and only the first floor is open to the public. However, there's a ton of free parking lots that are about a 3-5 minute walk from the restaurant.

Been to some of the locations and always liked what I got, this time was no different. My wife had a salad topped with lobster, she said it was fantastic! I went with my traditional lobster grinder. I get my lobster fix along with the amazing bread. Our server was absolutely great, the setting is casual. They do have a limited selection of alcohol, enough that we found something I liked. It's in the fishers district, parking is there, you just may have to walk a little bit.

The fish itself was very fresh, with just the right amount of breading. Service: This is a counter-service type of restaurant, so service was fine for that type of setting. Orders are brought out to your table after ordering, on an aluminum tray. Ambiance: It's nicely decorated and everything is still brand new, but there were two things that could easily be improved: a) Considering the relatively high prices of everything, I would expect real fountain soft drinks with free refills, but instead, you get a can of soda and a glass of ice. ?!?!?!? The canned soda with no refills is inconsistent with the otherwise higher-end nature of this restaurant. Canned Coke is what I expect when I ask for a beverage at a food truck or when I'm at a carnival, not after I just dropped upwards of $30 for fish & chips and cole slaw. b) We arrived right at noon, with only one other customer there, and yet we were told that all soups were already "sold out". Not believable. It sounds more like someone forgot to order more soup ingredients, and/or they just didn't have anything heated-up.

The service was very helpful deciding what to order. The setting was fun down town indanopolis feel. The lobster roll was definitely the standout. It was packed with fresh, flavorful lobster and had a nice balance of buttery richness without feeling too heavy. You can tell the seafood is high quality, which makes a huge difference. The lobster deviled eggs were super unique and honestly one of my favorite bites. Creamy, slightly tangy, and topped with lobster--it's not something you see everywhere, and they executed it really well. My husband tried the shrimp burrito, which was great for a seafood spot. It was hearty, well-seasoned, and filled generously. It didn't feel like an afterthought on the menu. To finish, the cheesecake was a great choice it was from the cheesecake factory is what the offered for my birthday smooth, rich, and just the right level of sweetness with a strawberry topping to end the meal without being overwhelming. I feel like most seafood places will have vegetarian options by way of removing the fish from pasta dishes or salad, but it's also nice to know that you can get chicken as a substitute on most of these kinds of dishes, too. Granted, it's just like chicken tenders, but still good nonetheless. I really like their firecracker pasta, which is moderately spicy in my opinion. There's no particular fishy smell here, which is always a good sign that the seafood they serve here is freshly prepared. Our food always comes out quickly for lunch and we've been a group as large as 8 or 9. I do believe that ordering is mostly done online in their mass Ave location, though. I don't really seek out a place like Slapfish on my own (no offense at all, just not a seafood girlie!!), but I would assume that it's a rather popular establishment as they recently opened a fifth location in the greater Indy area. If I did like fish and such more, I'd probably be here on a more regular rotation.
