    Corn chowder

Had Sunday lunch. Any food I've had here has been delicious. We started with the shrimp appetizer, st Elmo shrimp appetizer. I love the cocktail sauce. I also ordered the corn bisque, it's sooooo good. I don't think you're supposed to lick the bowl, but if it was acceptable, this is worth it. For my meal, I ordered the fish tacos with the street corn as the side. Some places, the street corn isn't very good, but here, they cut the corn off and with the seasonings, they bake it with serrano peppers. It gives it a unique flavor and some heat. I ate all the corn before I touched a taco!!! I was beginning to get full, so I ate one fish tacos(it's fried cod) with sliced avacado, aioli sauce and pico. It's also very good!!! The service was amazing the entire time we were there. It wasn't overly noisy, though it was full of diners.

    St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail

Was in the area to attend a concert at the Fishers Event Center, and had a recommendation to try The HC Tavern & Kitchen. They were quite busy, but even with no reservation we still were seated fairly quickly. My dining partner wanted the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer given the restaurant's connection to St Elmo's. It came with 4 shrimp and the St Elmo's famous horseradish cocktail sauce. The shrimp could have been a bit bigger, or came with more but the sauce did not disappoint. I decided to treat myself and have the filet, which came with horseradish seasoned mashed potatoes. I opted for sautéed mushrooms as a steak topper. Meat was cooked perfectly and was absolutely amazing. Mashed potatoes were good. My dining partner opted for the salmon and likewise said it was prepared exactly as it should be and was very flaky and tasty. This dish also came with the mashed potatoes. We also opted for a shareable side of the street corn, which was creamy and very tasty. Finally we shared a piece of cheesecake which my dining partner said was some of the best she has had. Service was excellent. Parking was easy given the location and just steps away from the door. Atmosphere was nice and not too loud for a good conversation.

I dined in for dinner and mainly ate appetizers and had wine. Great ambiance, not too loud, present server, and REALLY GOOD appetizers. The sauce for the calamari? So good. The dumplings and the sauce? SOOO good. The lobster cargot?! Such a creative dish and really delicious. I ended up taking the short rib dinner home to share with my 4 year old and it was really good. Maybe just a bit overdone on the outside but still good and tender on the inside. And I took the shrimp dish to my mother and was able to swap out the pasta for one that was more like a spaghetti. She liked it! I didn't get to try it. I'll definitely be back! Especially for the appetizers.

    $19 Tavern Club + $4 Street Corn

Mom & I come here every Xmas. I love the food and drinks here, plus it is pretty close to our house. The only downside is sometimes it is hard to find parking here, but on this night we found a spot with ease. This restaurant is a part of the Huse Culinary family of brands which includes: St. Elmo Steak House 1933 Lounge by St. Elmo Harry & Izzy's If there's one thing you HAVE to do is order the $14 Wagyu Corn Dogs. This app is literally my favorite app to eat at any restaurant anywhere. Nothing says Indiana like some seriously delicious corn dogs. On this night, I also tried a $16 espresso martini. It was spot on. Highly recommend one from here. It has to be up there on the Indy drink scene. For an entre I had the $19 tavern club and $4 street corn. I think they shrunk the size of the tavern club since last year, but it was still good. The street corn is another show stopper. I love great corn. You can only get corn like this in Indiana. The restaurant is beautiful and decorated for Xmas. I always come here when I'm home in Indy over the holidays!

I met a couple of friends here a few nights ago for dinner and drinks and had a really fun time. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. All of the staff who served us during our time there were courteous and accommodating. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. The food and drinks were delicious. All around a great girls night out! We started off with cocktails to sip on and catch up. I got the Bermuda Triangle (their version of a paper plane) and it was very yummy. My friends each got the St. Elmo's cola with a Diet Coke and enjoyed those as well and said they are verrry strong. All of us got a classic Caesar salad. I chose to add salmon and so did one friend. Our other friend is a vegetarian, so she got a side of fries to pair with her salad. I also ordered the shrimp cocktail because I love pain and hadn't had one in quite some time. Just as spicy as I remembered it to be and I cried the whole time I ate it, but they were happy tears from the spice of the horseradish. We had specifically chosen HC Tavern + Kitchen to meet at because they offered an espresso martini flight for their devour menu and we knew we'd love it. It did not disappoint! They had a "classic" with vodka, a bourbon, and a tequila espresso martini and all of them were super tasty, but surprisingly the tequila was my favorite of the 3 (bow tie martini with orange peel). We thought about going somewhere else for a night cap to end the evening, but it was so cold out and nearby businesses all had similar hours anyway, so we decided to stay put and each had a couple more cocktails. I ordered Mai Tais so I could reminisce on my time in Barbados this time last year. My friends ordered lemon drops and French 75s. All were very tasty and lasted through close while we caught up since we'd last seen each other a few weeks prior. The only downsides were that I felt like the food was priced too high for what we got ($14 for that Caesar salad was ridiculous and then it was an additional $14 for the salmon) and parking is a nightmare for that entire shopping/dining area. If you are lucky enough to quickly find parking, then everything is pretty walkable and there are lots of other businesses nearby to visit and make it a fun evening out.

Service was very good. The food was average. The ambience was excellent. For those that don't know it's part of St Elmo's and 1933 Lounge

I went in for cocktails a few days ago with my boyfriend. It was very busy but we found a spot at the bar. I was seated next to a woman who had been cut off by management and was being very belligerent toward the bartender. It was a bit uncomfortable because she was swearing and being a bit hostile. However, the bartender (Johnathan, I think) was doing his best to keep her calm. Despite a full bar and multiple drink orders, he greeted us promptly and got us menus. We ordered our drinks and he gave us the first round on the house due to having to wait a bit. We had only planned to get a single drink lol but we obviously ordered another round after that. He was very professional and friendly and gave stellar service. I had the Liquid Love Affair which is one of my faves from there - anything with passion fruit is a go-to for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the Madteani and may even prefer it. It was light and refreshing and I loved the cardamom. Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend ordered a Manhattan and a Rhinegeist beer both of which he really liked. I tried the Rhinegeist, too, and though I don't love beer, thought it was mild and easy to drink.

Over the last couple of months I have visited HC Tavern a couple different times for brunch and everything was delicious! My most recent visit was over the weekend for their Rhythm & Brunch event. While I had a great time, I do wish the music was a bit louder. We were seated upstairs, but I felt that the music was very quiet. Either way, the food was incredible. I've had the cinnamon roll bites, chicken minis, and croque monsieur. I will definitely be returning for more special event brunches. While the meal, with drinks included, was on the higher end of brunch, it was delicious and worth it.

I was a little apprehensive because I've heard that the food at HC is 'just okay' however sometimes food isn't the only deciding factor for a dining experience (crazy IK). Not only was the food good and the drinks strong, but our server, AMBER, was the star of the show! She was so fun, attentive, and personable. You could really tell she enjoys herself and her hustle. Our appetizers were all so fun and different and something about that Barkeep vodka is just different LOL the burger was more than enough for one and we were celebrating a friends bday and could not have had more fun!!

In town for the first time--looking for a place to eat with a late kitchen (open until 11!) Staff were very friendly and menu had good variety-we just needed light fare, so unfortunately didn't have dishes they raved about. We enjoyed a smalldinner, and had great drinks. Ambience was dark; it appeared would be a good place for adults to meet or groups of people or even a quiet date. Children were present, but more up-scale than child-friendly. A bit on the pricey side, but able to find a meal that satisfied all.

I placed a to-go order this past Friday, and I was thoroughly underwhelmed. A better word might be disappointed. Knowing that this restaurant is part of the Huse Culinary Group lead me to feel confident in my choice. I picked them over Cava and wound up regretting it. I ordered the crab cake slider (8/10) and it was pretty good. I wished that it had more remoulade and that the crab cake was just slightly thicker/more substantial. I also ordered the house salad with fried chicken added. They neglected to provide me with any salad dressing, and because this was my lunch and I was returning to the office, I was unable to eat the salad until I got home. By then, the croutons were soggy, and the entire experience really just frustrated me. I also ordered the Blueberry Lemon Cobbler. It was oddly presented. Rather than putting it in a cup similar to the one that the ice cream was served in, it was smeared along the bottom of a regular to-go container with chunks of the topping somewhat strewn about. I'm sure that someone on their team could think of a better way to present this for a to-go order. It was not at all appetizing. I know that to-go orders can be hit or miss, but not giving me dressing for my salad, the main portion of my meal, was a major miss. I will try them again in a dine-in setting, but my expectations have been greatly decreased.

Not that happy hours are new to me but the happy hour at HC is new to me! Located in the Yard at Fishers this swanky spot is owned by Huse Culinary. Meaning it's the same owners as 1933 Lounge and St. Elmo's, so they have the same drinks. Back to happy hour. Sunday through Thursday from 4-6 you get 5 dollars off their house vodka, gin, and whiskey drinks and a few discounted bar food items. Some beers are also on special but I don't drink beer so I didn't pay attention to those prices. Candied bacon for 11$ and flatbreads for 10$. There was so much bacon for the price and the flatbreads were huge. Great deals in my opinion and to get an espresso martini of the Huse brand quality for 5$ off is awesome. I've taken friends twice after I discovered the deal and will continue to go back.

Wedge salad, slider in the background and Makets Mark and ginger ale.

Reservations were easy to get on OpenTable. We even adjusted the time with no issues. The entry way is super cute and so is the seating area next to the bar. The vibe is pretty spot on for a speakeasy type place. Absolutely loved the aesthetics and atmosphere. Our server Kim was hands down one of the best servers we've had anywhere in a while. She was incredibly sweet and helpful with recommendations for drinks and food and shower us some of the more specialty type bourbons on the bar etc. I chose a bourbon sour make with Woodford and it was perfectly balanced with a nice hint of bourbon Hubby chose a couple of different old fashions and they were spot on. For appetizers we chose fried green tomatoes and the French bread. The fried green tomatoes needed a little salt other than that they were huge and the breading stayed on and was light and crispy. The French bread was basic and probably wouldn't get again. I tried the soup which was white cheddar broccoli and cheese. It was pretty good but not worth the price considering you can get a salad that is bigger and cheaper Hubby got the Caesar salad it comes with a creamy anchovy dressing with a fried cheese topping The fried cheese was amazing and if you don't like anchovy don't let the keep you from getting the salad it's really good. Main course I chose the Australian Wagu strip steak. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The fat was rendered down and added to the amazing flavor. I would order again. Also comes pre sliced on the plate. Hubby ordered the filet it was slightly overcooked but it wasn't a deal breaker being that it was filet. There was nothing outstanding it was just like any other filet. We split the white cheddar Mac and cheese It was creamy and more than enough to share in fact we brought some home. It could have used salt as well. Dessert we split the chocolate cake and each of us ate a couple bites and brought the rest home. It's not as rich as you would think. The crunch on the bottom adds a nice texture. Then they brought out a nice surprise of 2 fresh baked chocolate chip cookies which were amazing and should be a menu item Overall amazing experience and will definitely return Perfect for a nice date night.

Very lounger, sexy, chic yet cozy. 5/5. We sat in a booth by the bar. Small comment card, it is far too tight of a walkway. So there's sexy plush bar chairs along the bar top (love a good comfy bar chair with a back!), but then inches behind you- it's a major walkway of constant traffic. You can't stand and mingle w others that are sitting in the bar chairs bc you'll be in the way of a server or other patrons trying to get seated. There's a whole other section of the restaurant that is not inside the bar area - looked nice! Everything here is ala carte, so my guy and I eat got our own meat and then split a bunch of sides. I loved the red wine, filet mignon steak, Mac and cheese, asparagus and potatoes. My guy got the Wagyu steak, and to be honest- we were pretty disappointed. He ate it but he was wishing he was eating my steak. Ha! We also ordered the mushrooms-- I would not order again, they were sub-par. There was something in the sauce that just wasn't hitting the palette right. We usually love the shrooms the most when we go places, but not this night. But hey! You can't win em all! Overall, nice place! Is it better than Harry & Izzy's, 1933, or Provision? No. They still take the cake ;)

The service - exceptional. We ordered the lemon drop martini, Elmo Cola, the Gatsby and liquid love affair. I asked for the liquid love affair to have a very light pour of alcohol and they obliged. Everyone loved their drinks. Even me. And I am NOT a drinker. We ordered shrimp cocktails, lobster bisque, steaks and lobster. Everything so good. My son's steak was overdone but they happily remade it and ALL the sides that came with it. Just immaculate service. We also ordered the chocolate mousse pie. We asked our server to place the candles we had brought on top. Lemme tell you. The service. Just so good. She realized they were sparkler candles so she waited to light it until she was at our table. We did ask the manager if we could present our son his gift during dinner. It was a firearm and we didn't wanna cause any drama or "unsafe" feelings even though, obvi, it wouldn't have been loaded. We did want to respect the establishment and their other patrons. He kindly declined and, of course, we understood. Can we talk about service? Just so exceptional. Customer service for me will make or break any experience. The bills was... A LOT. Even AFTER they comped everything the birthday boy had ordered. But even if they hadn't comped ANYTHING... I always believe in paying good money for good food. The place was clean. For starters we had some chunky guac, watermelon pico, and some kind of verde salsa with chips. 10/10! The Watermelon pico was new to me and very refreshing!! Next we had some steak fajitas with rice. I was not a fan of the rice and the steak wasn't seasoned to my liking but still a good dish! Lastly we had dessert that put me in the mind of being at the state fair. It was a pastry fried (think like funnel cake taste) and fruit ...so yummy! Now the margaritas! Enjoy as much it as little as you like! I loved experimenting and trying different combos. My favorite was the mango spicy flavor! I had a failed attempt to dine at this location a few months ago with my extended family of 9 for my dad's birthday. The thing about TR is that they don't take reservations. When my brother and I got there, the hostess had to call a manager, only to tell us that the best they'll be able to do is to put us on the list and when the time comes, they'll have to possibly split us into two groups because they don't have large enough tables to fit the 9 of us. We were quite disappointed and had to take the business to a competitor across town. Needless to say, we didn't enjoy our experience then, but I also fully understand that we were a large group and that's just not their MO. Fine. Letting bygones be bygones. The most recent visit was slightly a smaller group of three, just me and my parents for Mother's day eve lunch. I can imagine it would have been slightly more difficult to get in during prime hours on the day of, but we managed to dodge the stampede this time around. Because of it, it was quite a pleasant experience. The thing that I'm sure everyone knows and appreciates about TR is the affordability. A nice steak plate with 2 sides and plenty of dinner roll refills only costs a couple dimes. I definitely see the appeal for a couple retirees like my parents to come when they're craving some beef. While not your top-tier fine-dining cut, USDA Choice cuts they serve are nothing to sneeze at. Both my parents and I had a great time there. When I'm out on a date, or an event that requires a bit more poise, I probably would opt for one of the other competitors. But for casual occasions, I think I'll give TR a bit more chances, when available. I say that because the closest one to my house is an hour away... lol

It has been a very long time since I have eaten here because I have been wanting a discount. Well…read morethe right discount finally came in an email. Buy one entree get second entree up to $15 off. So it was like $10 an entree. I dined in to eat a 5 oz. (wild caught) salmon, fresh, steamed broccoli & carrots, and a baked sweet potato with cinnamon. The carrots were a little white so I asked that with my second entree that the carrots would be steamed a little longer. I enjoyed my meal esp. the complimentary toasty rolls with cinnamon butter. For tomorrow's lunch, I ordered portobello mushroom with grilled chicken and the same 2 sides. Delicious. Not only do they give a 4 oz. bag of salted and roasted peanuts with to-go orders, they also now have moved to the same bag experience for dine-ins instead of the buckets which you throw shells on the floor. Much cleaner and better now.
