Came here on a random Saturday night at 6:15 PM with no reservation and we were very lucky to get a table. As the entire evening there were groups of people waiting to be seated however I'm not sure if they had reservations. Our server, Callista was absolutely fantastic super patient and friendly. Well, we did not order much and split everything because we just weren't that hungry but definitely needed something to eat. This was a great first time visit. As you can imagine from all the other reviews, the ambience fantastic. This is part of the same hospitality, family group that owns Saint Elmo's. If I were more hungry, I definitely would've ordered more food. However, the first six pages of the menu are all alcoholic drinks and beverages, which is quite interesting. This part of the menu outnumbers the rest of the food pages. I would definitely come back here again and try more of the food however I'm giving them a solid for because the ambience the service and the food quality and timing were fantastic. The only problem with this place is that it is located in the popular nickel plate district, which is covered in saturated with restaurants and shops. And not enough parking options.

Enjoyed the HC Tavern once again! The food was great and service was excellent. The Caesar salad topped with anchovies was wonderful and the Lobster Cargo was rich and buttery in taste and the chunky lobster layer in a cheese sauce was a hit! HC is a great place for both lunch, dinner and great for groups.

Had Sunday lunch. Any food I've had here has been delicious. We started with the shrimp appetizer, st Elmo shrimp appetizer. I love the cocktail sauce. I also ordered the corn bisque, it's sooooo good. I don't think you're supposed to lick the bowl, but if it was acceptable, this is worth it. For my meal, I ordered the fish tacos with the street corn as the side. Some places, the street corn isn't very good, but here, they cut the corn off and with the seasonings, they bake it with serrano peppers. It gives it a unique flavor and some heat. I ate all the corn before I touched a taco!!! I was beginning to get full, so I ate one fish tacos(it's fried cod) with sliced avacado, aioli sauce and pico. It's also very good!!! The service was amazing the entire time we were there. It wasn't overly noisy, though it was full of diners.

Crab Cakes, Fries, Liquid Love Affair

HC Tavern stays one of my go-to spots, especially when I want something really good without going far from home. They have both my favorite drink -- the Liquid Love Affair (a must-try if you're a vodka drinker) -- and hands down the best soup you'll ever taste: the corn bisque. It's absolutely delicious and has the cutest presentation every single time. I stopped in Saturday and it was busy, but Caitlin still provided excellent service -- attentive, friendly, and everything flowed smoothly. It was also a great spot to catch the Elite 8 games, which made the whole experience even better. I ordered the crab cakes and fries -- cooked really well and perfect with their remoulade. Now I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up because the ambiance is even better when the balcony is open.

Was in the area to attend a concert at the Fishers Event Center, and had a recommendation to try The HC Tavern & Kitchen. They were quite busy, but even with no reservation we still were seated fairly quickly. My dining partner wanted the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer given the restaurant's connection to St Elmo's. It came with 4 shrimp and the St Elmo's famous horseradish cocktail sauce. The shrimp could have been a bit bigger, or came with more but the sauce did not disappoint. I decided to treat myself and have the filet, which came with horseradish seasoned mashed potatoes. I opted for sautéed mushrooms as a steak topper. Meat was cooked perfectly and was absolutely amazing. Mashed potatoes were good. My dining partner opted for the salmon and likewise said it was prepared exactly as it should be and was very flaky and tasty. This dish also came with the mashed potatoes. We also opted for a shareable side of the street corn, which was creamy and very tasty. Finally we shared a piece of cheesecake which my dining partner said was some of the best she has had. Service was excellent. Parking was easy given the location and just steps away from the door. Atmosphere was nice and not too loud for a good conversation.

    $19 Tavern Club + $4 Street Corn

Mom & I come here every Xmas. I love the food and drinks here, plus it is pretty close to our house. The only downside is sometimes it is hard to find parking here, but on this night we found a spot with ease. This restaurant is a part of the Huse Culinary family of brands which includes: St. Elmo Steak House 1933 Lounge by St. Elmo Harry & Izzy's If there's one thing you HAVE to do is order the $14 Wagyu Corn Dogs. This app is literally my favorite app to eat at any restaurant anywhere. Nothing says Indiana like some seriously delicious corn dogs. On this night, I also tried a $16 espresso martini. It was spot on. Highly recommend one from here. It has to be up there on the Indy drink scene. For an entre I had the $19 tavern club and $4 street corn. I think they shrunk the size of the tavern club since last year, but it was still good. The street corn is another show stopper. I love great corn. You can only get corn like this in Indiana. The restaurant is beautiful and decorated for Xmas. I always come here when I'm home in Indy over the holidays!

I dined in for dinner and mainly ate appetizers and had wine. Great ambiance, not too loud, present server, and REALLY GOOD appetizers. The sauce for the calamari? So good. The dumplings and the sauce? SOOO good. The lobster cargot?! Such a creative dish and really delicious. I ended up taking the short rib dinner home to share with my 4 year old and it was really good. Maybe just a bit overdone on the outside but still good and tender on the inside. And I took the shrimp dish to my mother and was able to swap out the pasta for one that was more like a spaghetti. She liked it! I didn't get to try it. I'll definitely be back! Especially for the appetizers.

Over the last couple of months I have visited HC Tavern a couple different times for brunch and everything was delicious! My most recent visit was over the weekend for their Rhythm & Brunch event. While I had a great time, I do wish the music was a bit louder. We were seated upstairs, but I felt that the music was very quiet. Either way, the food was incredible. I've had the cinnamon roll bites, chicken minis, and croque monsieur. I will definitely be returning for more special event brunches. While the meal, with drinks included, was on the higher end of brunch, it was delicious and worth it.

    Bermuda Triangle

I met a couple of friends here a few nights ago for dinner and drinks and had a really fun time. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. All of the staff who served us during our time there were courteous and accommodating. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. The food and drinks were delicious. All around a great girls night out! We started off with cocktails to sip on and catch up. I got the Bermuda Triangle (their version of a paper plane) and it was very yummy. My friends each got the St. Elmo's cola with a Diet Coke and enjoyed those as well and said they are verrry strong. All of us got a classic Caesar salad. I chose to add salmon and so did one friend. Our other friend is a vegetarian, so she got a side of fries to pair with her salad. I also ordered the shrimp cocktail because I love pain and hadn't had one in quite some time. Just as spicy as I remembered it to be and I cried the whole time I ate it, but they were happy tears from the spice of the horseradish. We had specifically chosen HC Tavern + Kitchen to meet at because they offered an espresso martini flight for their devour menu and we knew we'd love it. It did not disappoint! They had a "classic" with vodka, a bourbon, and a tequila espresso martini and all of them were super tasty, but surprisingly the tequila was my favorite of the 3 (bow tie martini with orange peel). We thought about going somewhere else for a night cap to end the evening, but it was so cold out and nearby businesses all had similar hours anyway, so we decided to stay put and each had a couple more cocktails. I ordered Mai Tais so I could reminisce on my time in Barbados this time last year. My friends ordered lemon drops and French 75s. All were very tasty and lasted through close while we caught up since we'd last seen each other a few weeks prior. The only downsides were that I felt like the food was priced too high for what we got ($14 for that Caesar salad was ridiculous and then it was an additional $14 for the salmon) and parking is a nightmare for that entire shopping/dining area. If you are lucky enough to quickly find parking, then everything is pretty walkable and there are lots of other businesses nearby to visit and make it a fun evening out.

I will be returning for brunch again. The service is great; I wish I got the mimosa so I could enjoy the variety of choices to customize the cocktail. The music was a bit loud but I could still chat to my group. For the meal, I had a pretty filling lobster roll, which impressed me since Indiana is not known for seafood. The serving sizes for other dishes were pretty good too and no one in the group had complaints.

I went in for cocktails a few days ago with my boyfriend. It was very busy but we found a spot at the bar. I was seated next to a woman who had been cut off by management and was being very belligerent toward the bartender. It was a bit uncomfortable because she was swearing and being a bit hostile. However, the bartender (Johnathan, I think) was doing his best to keep her calm. Despite a full bar and multiple drink orders, he greeted us promptly and got us menus. We ordered our drinks and he gave us the first round on the house due to having to wait a bit. We had only planned to get a single drink lol but we obviously ordered another round after that. He was very professional and friendly and gave stellar service. I had the Liquid Love Affair which is one of my faves from there - anything with passion fruit is a go-to for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the Madteani and may even prefer it. It was light and refreshing and I loved the cardamom. Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend ordered a Manhattan and a Rhinegeist beer both of which he really liked. I tried the Rhinegeist, too, and though I don't love beer, thought it was mild and easy to drink.

It's great out here and they've done a good job trying to hide the traffic on 116th. Here are my impressions: Seating, very comfortable and much nicer than I thought. Ambiance, higher end than I thought after seeing photos Wine, the Sancerre was light, not too sweet, and delicious, nice finish. Seaweed salad, delicious! Delmonte roll, Toro (tuna belly!) absolutely wonderful and I enjoyed it to the last bite. Lobster roll, lots of lobster in a light dressing of kimchi mayo on top of the veggie roll. Presentation, all of the dishes came out looking very appetizing. Dessert, Lemon Possette, is fabulous! Custard like but creamier/looser towards the bottom with jam and fresh tanneries on top. It's difficult to stop eating! Chris, the owner, took the time to stop at our table and have a lovely conversation with us and we're so glad he created this touch of Monterey (CA) here in central Indiana. It wasn't quite ready when I arrived so I took a seat and soaked up the space. The restaurant itself was nice with a very obvious nautical theme. They had booth seating and tables as well as a small patio out front. The staff wasn't the most welcoming but I was just in and out so it was fine. Once I got back to my room I dug right in, as I was starving after a 3 hour drive from Columbus, Ohio. The first thing I noticed was that I forgot to ask for ketchup for my fries when I asked for utensils. And I'm so glad I remembered to ask for utensils, otherwise that would have gotten messy really quick. It would be really nice if the staff asked about those things for takeout orders. The next thing I noticed was that my fried fish was already soggy. Given that it wasn't ready when I arrived and only five-ish minutes passed between them handing it to me and when I started eating, I was surprised. That said, the parts that were crispy were nice and their tartar sauce was super good. The fries also had a nice seasoning on them. Overall, the experience was fine, which is why I landed on a solid three stars.

His steak was cooked to perfection and he absolutely loved his chosen sides. My daughter had the king crab sushi roll, which she rated a 7/10. Now, on to dessert. Eric told us his favorite is the key lime pie. I love a good key lime pie so I ordered it. In fact, I always order key lime pie if it's on the menu where ever we dine. Of all the pies I've had in recent years, it was the truly the best with perfectly balanced key lime with a brûlée-d top. My daughter had the coconut cream pie and my husband had the bread pudding. One of my favorite things about this place is…read morethat it's not loud, so you can actually enjoy your meal and have a conversation without shouting. The booths aren't the most comfortable, but the overall atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. The $5 Coronas are a great deal, and my go-to order is the Juicy Special. It has a little kick to it, so if you're sensitive to spice, keep that in mind--but I think the flavor is worth it. I especially loved the lobster, sausage, black mussels, and frog legs. Everything was flavorful, and the seafood was delicious. There are some good deals on the menu if you're looking to keep the cost down. However, if you're dining with your partner and both of you order lobster or other premium seafood, plan on spending around $100 or more. For me, it's worth it for a nice seafood dinner. Don't worry if cracking the seafood seems intimidating--they provide scissors and seafood tools at the table to make it much easier. And don't forget to put on the plastic gloves and apron before you dig in, because things can definitely get messy! If you're looking for a casual spot with a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy great seafood and actually have a conversation, Juicy Seafood in Castleton is definitely worth a visit.

It took some time for us all to order and start getting our drinks. However, the food started coming out pretty quickly. I ordered the Plant Power with cajun seasoning at the medium spice level with a side of boiled eggs. It was so delicious! It came out piping hot and covered in seasoning. The plant power comes with a generous amount of corn, boiled potatoes, and broccoli. The boiled eggs were overcooked, though, and they were too hot to eat for awhile, though. They burned my fingers! I loved the flavor and didn't think it was spicy at all, though. I was worried that the veggie plate would be underwhelming in comparison to the seafood boils that everyone else ordered but I think I actually enjoyed it the most lol Since they knew we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, they gave a gift card for $15 off his next visit. They also have a neon lit birthday sign and our server lead us in singing the Birthday song -- if you don't like that kind of attention, don't tell them lol

Before the plates even hit the…read moretables, that rich, unmistakable aroma filled the air, the kind of comforting smell that only comes from a true scratch kitchen where real chefs handle real ingredients with absolute respect. I watched as people took their first bites. Forkfuls paused mid-air, conversations instantly ground to a halt, and eyes widened across every table. Jake Burgess and the crew from the Burgess Restaurant Group weren't just catering an event; they were executing a masterclass in craft for a crowd without taking a single shortcut. "You have got to try this," someone blurted out to my left, leaning across the table before even finishing their bite. "I'm tellin' you, Jake and his team don't miss," another replied. "Between FoxGardin, The Den, Bonge's, Carnegie's... it doesn't matter which spot it is, they nail it every single time." Taking it all in, it hit me why they stand so far apart. In a world full of safe, forgettable catering, Jake and the Burgess Restaurant Group served up the kind of deep, craveable food that ruins standard dining for the rest of us. It's the kind of cooking that makes you immediately start planning your next trip to one of their spots before you've even finished the meal in front of you. A massive, heartfelt shoutout to Jake Burgess and the entire Burgess Restaurant Group: FoxGardin Kitchen & Ale, FoxGardin Family Kitchen, The Den, Smoky's Concession Stand, Bonge's Tavern, and Carnegie's. Thank you for keeping us exceptionally well-fed last night!

Was in the area and decided to grab lunch as we often do when in a different locale…read more Noticed FoxGardin had great reviews and was very close by. We weren't going to get an appetizer but the bone marrow fries looked so good in pictures that we had to try them. They did not disappoint. Very large serving and extremely flavorful. Easily an appetizer for 4 or more people (there was only 2 of us so we brought some home). My dining partner is not normally a fries person and she loved these. For entree, my dining partner had today's special which was a shredded chicken sandwich that had a jalapeño cheese sauce and the house chips. She said it was very good and again half the sandwich came home. I had their breaded tenderloin which was very good, with nice breading to meat ratio and was a bit larger than the bun. It came with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. It came ala carte with no sides. Service was excellent, exceptionally friendly and really took care of us. One of the best waiters I've come across. Inside is a bar/pub like feel. We opted to eat in the air condition enclosed "patio" type area which had a bit more light, but was also noisy today due to the tin lined walls/ceiling and another group that was quite loud. Made it a bit hard to converse. Normally don't think this would be an issue. While not tons of items on the menu, the selection was quite varied and you could really splurge on a filet or other such dish and really go all in for a more lavish dinner or have a burger or tenderloin, all at any time of day. Parking was right in front of the restaurant but could see it being a bit tight on a busy day.
