This was a nice place indeed. First, it was scrupulously clean. It is housed in a somewhat ordinary strip mall, has the ever-present pleasant staff who seem to occupy such chain businesses and a wide variety on its menu. So, this is essentially a review of the place, which I mentioned before, which is clean, comfortable and nice...and the food was good! Love this place! I first enjoyed a Cava in Virginia with daughter who introduced me to it. It is basically set up to order like a Baja Fresh type restaurant, but Mediterranean! You order and walk down seeing the ingredients and telling them what you want in your bowl or wrap and get it at the end, pay then find a seat. The drinks are self serve. The food is always so fresh and tasty! During lunch hours there can be a decent line, but the line moves along. You can always use the app and order ahead as well. I have had the wraps and bowls. Love the spicy chicken and all the dips. The hummus is fresh and tasty, the tzatziki is thick and creamy, and the crazy feta is awesome - it is whipped with jalapeño, onion, and olive oil and is my fav! The warm pita chips are great to dip! The drinks are great too. I love the different choices which include juices - pineapple apple mint, blueberry lavender, cucumber mint lime along with teas and lemonade. I mix lemonade with the juices and love it! Every time I go I forget to take pictures because I'm busy enjoying the food...lol! read more

Healthy, fresh, and tasty but kinda expensive for an assembly line style counter service restaurant. My mom and I stopped by for lunch today and had a Greek pita and a Harrissa Chicken Bowl with Blueberry Lavender juice. I loved the menu selection - pitas, grain bowls, and salads. The food at Cava is fresh and includes healthy options. You can choose something from the menu or make your own bowl. The only issue I have is that the tables and floors have been dirty every time we go (even when it's not crowded). Please do a better job cleaning and you would get 5 stars. read more

I haven't been impressed with this restaurant. I want to love it, but the service is always subpar, and it never fails that I always get bad chicken. I love everything Greek, and it's a cute atmosphere, but I can only recommend Cava to vegetarians who don't mind blah service. They have great kids meals that are fresh and priced well ($6.55), but, once again, they always get gristly chicken! My wife and I recently started a Mediterranean shift in our diet, so this was the perfect place and time for our first visit. It was very busy on a Saturday night. However, despite the long line the employees worked efficiently (but still friendly) enough to move it along quickly. Considering all the possible options for Mediterranean food, I thought the menu was a bit limited. I really appreciated the fact that I could purchase half a pita (kids meal) once I saw the giant ones they used for the regular meal. I had brown rice, chicken, tomato/cucumber salsa, and Taziki Caesar dressing. I opted for the pita chips and red pepper hummus. I thought it all tasted great, and was just the right portion for my appetite. They also gave us complimentary water cups. The restaurant seating is small, but we still had no problem find a place, because most customers were taking out. It was also clean inside. I will definitely return. read more

My review is probably weird to most folks. The food is very good and very fresh but I do not like my food all mixed together. Thus, a bowl of mixed up foods just isn't my thing. I ordered a salad, yes, I like that mixed, and a side of potatoes. I would like to have had them in a side bowl but they were put on top of the salad. Oh well, I pulled the potatoes out and put on a napkin. The salad was good. Not a ton of food for the price, but good. We will go back. Can you just offer a plate? read more

We have been visiting Cava since opening and have always been very happy w service and the freshness of the food! Today was a HORRIBLE experience not because of the food but the lack of respect from the general manager! My husband and I are both retired Air Force and We have always got a military discount since day one - today when we asked he barked at us and said only first responders - No thank you for your service or I'm sorry we normally don't! Normally if you have discounts for first responders, military falls in that category! He basically accused us for lying! We will rethink visiting this establishment now because the the GM nasty and bitter attitude! By the way the other Cava on Kingston Pike DOES military discounts!! read more

Since this used to be a Zoe's Kitchen and it's also Mediterranean food, I expected more of the same. It's not! I was happily surprised by the chicken wrap I ordered. Everything can be customized and there a bunch of different sauces to choose from (it would be dry without a sauce). The hummus is serviceable, the flatbread is soft, and all the ingredients are fresh. Don't expect to move too quickly thru the line, but if you have the extra 10 minutes, we'll worth it for something fresh and tasty! read more
