I was deciding on a place to eat, and I clicked on "healthy food." This place came up. It was excellent. It's a chain of fast, casual Mediterranean restaurants. Right now they are in Southern California and they are looking at expanding into northern California. I hope they do. The set up is like a chipotle. You can either build your own bowl, or choose a premade bowl I decided to have the strawberry sesame salmon. Lots of goodies! . Glazed salmon, tzatziki, red pepper hummus, cucumber, feta, tomato + onion, sumac slaw, brown rice, spinach, and strawberry sesame dressing. The thing was decent sized, and it was delicious. It was a grilled salmon that was tender, all of the veggies were fresh, and none of the sauces fought with each other. Everything in the bowl got along very well. It was a fantastic meal. On the side, I decided to try their harissa barbecue pita chips. I asked if they were very spicy, and the lady said no. The pita chips were crispy on the outside, but the soft on the inside, I liked the barbecue flavor. It was like a barbecue potato chip on steroids! And, the harissa was not overly spicy It made my tongue tingle just a little bit. It was an excellent meal. The prices are a bit on the higher end, but for the quality of food, well worth it. . Amazing experience at CAVA in Monrovia! The food was fresh, delicious, and everything was prepared perfectly, but what really stood out was the outstanding customer service from Chenee. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. Great customer service is hard to come by these days, and Chenee is a perfect example of what it should look like. Her positive attitude and professionalism definitely did not go unnoticed. This was only my second time trying CAVA, and I'm already a big fan!!!! The first time I came, my partner brought me because he had been there before and really wanted me to try it. I was excited to see what all the hype was about, and it definitely lived up to it. The food was fresh, flavorful, and so YUMMY. I came back again... the next day lol, with my partner and my mom because I wanted her to try it too. We thought it was really cool to have a fast-casual Mediterranean option like this. It's not something we see everywhere, and it was fun getting to share the experience together. The service was great both times. Everyone was friendly, my orders were made quickly, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The pita chips were also really good! They have a new limited one that's sour cream and onion which is super yummy! I love having this location in Monrovia because it's so convenient, and I can definitely see myself coming back often. My only small complaint is that the dining area feels a little small and there aren't a lot of seats if you want to eat inside. Even so, it doesn't take away from how much I enjoyed the food and overall experience. I've already been back twice in less than a week, which says a lot. Place is a little small, so you may struggle to find seating but that is the only issue. The people working there are on the ball, only thing that matters with this type of food service. We stopped by for dinner and had the build your own bowls. The place was quite busy, however the staff were moving the line fast. I love the concept of build your own, generous portion and selection of sauces, proteins, toppings, greens, and grains. The food is flavorful and fresh. Their diet Mexican cola was so good, no aftertaste or fake sugar taste. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunny and cool evening. The fried pitas were the best, perfectly seasoned and crispy. Came to a soft opening for cava today through event brite. All the staff new and seasoned were polite and conversational to keep time going and not seemed like we were there for about an hr to order. Line moved fast once inside. Chose braised lamb because some of the options had ran out when we arrived at our time to order. But they were refilled quickly so timing for that was good. First time in a Cava. Was bright and clean nice lighting and ambiance. Was a flavorful bowl. Added roasted corn, spicy broccoli, and chose harissa sauce and a SKHUG sauce so cilantro and spices.I chose mixed greens and brown rice for my base and came with a warmed pita slice. They have very different drinks but I chose to do half blueberry lavender with some lemonade and a splash of their blueberry soda. Not overpowering at all and tasted good to me. read more

Fly on my fooood!!!!! Yesterday, I found a fly in my food after opening my meal. I was so hungry that I started eating right away, which made it even more upsetting. This was especially frustrating because my previous order from the same location was also wrong. I had ordered my meal without meat, but there was chicken in it, so I had to drive back to have it remade. Mistakes happen, but finding a fly in my food is a serious hygiene concern. There are 2 booths and 4 of tables and soda machine. The server was nice and helped on my order-I ordered basmati rice, spinach, chicken, half of pita bread, corn, feta, cucumbers and dressing. We visited on a Friday evening and it was packed!! The line was pretty long and it was moving slower than usual for a CAVA. I think it was a 20-25 min to get to the front to order our bowls. They seemed to have run a couple of things, such as the chicken and their hummus (I wanted both!). The workers seemed a bit stressed that it was also busy and the assembly line was getting a bit chaotic. The cashier was friendly though! After we got our bowls, I appreciated that the last girl was pretty heavy handed with the toppings so it was quite loaded. This time I tried all the ingredients they had to offer. Ingredients were pretty fresh, the chicken however tasted like it was rush. I wish they had the hummus cause the red pepper hummus didn't taste as hummus-y. I wasn't really a fan of the harissa and the feta, so I will know for next time. Otherwise, the bowl itself was still pretty good. read more

This is definitely a busy place. They're still working out the kinks behind the counter where you're all the employees are putting items on. Your bowl is dirty. There's sauces mixed with end with each each other. Your bowl if you don't pay attention, may go to the next person, one in front of you were behind. And don't get me started that this is the bowl how you like it they insist on doing what they wanted to manager, said I could not put lettuce on the side it had to be on the top. Thank goodness at least the ingredients of the bowl is the same as always. I will not be coming back to this location. I will drive to the one in Azusa off of Alosta. At least tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it's not worth an aggravation. read more

Location is super clean. Parking is getting a little rough now that we have some amazing choices in the shopping center. Line was long on a Saturday night and service was kindof slow. This is my 1st time trying CAVA. My son has mentioned it to me as he has one near him down south. Pasadena just a little out-of-the-way for my convenience. So when I saw this was coming in, I was excited and couldn't wait. I actually didn't go the very first week or so after it opened because the lines were out the door. I was running some errands today and stopped in around 11 and it was perfect. One person ahead of me. Indra, who was the initial server was really sweet. I told her it was my first time and I wasn't sure what to do so she helped me a little. I ended up getting the chicken and grain bowl which apparently they don't have anymore as it's seasonal. I got it with Romain because I don't like arugula. It came with the brown rice, which was fine. It's actually very good. And then I added some great toppings, the olives, feta cheese, pickled onions, tomato, and onion mixture and cucumbers. I opted for the hummus and tzatziki scoops. I got the Greek vinaigrette and garlic (something) dressings. Also got a crazy feta scoop. The cashier today was Peyton and she was so nice. It was a very good size bowl, a lot of food and absolutely delicious. I forgot to grab the sour cream and onion sumac chips, which I wanted for the crazy feta. But I dipped my free pita piece in the crazy feta and oh my gosh, I was blown away by the flavor. I took my order to go, but because it was early there was plenty of seats/tables. I will definitely be back. And will of course go when it's not busy because this was perfect. I paid $14 for the bowl- a little pricey but justified by the amount of food in the bowl. I wish you could get bigger scoops of the crazy feta dip, though. I wasn't charged for it by the way. read more
