My friend and i found the Peach Cafe for the first time, enjoyed the food very much. We will be back.

I was recommended this spot by some friends. I came by after a hike in sierra madre. There is a lot next to the cafe & street parking as well. There is indoor & outdoor seating which is nice. There are breakfast& lunch options. SCALLOPED POTATOES! I was astonished to see them on the menu as a brekky side & of course I ordered them with eggs & chorizo. The plate was a 8/10. Hot vanilla latte was a 10/10 , nice & foamy. Restrooms were clean. Staff were friendly & open to questions. Overall , a nice spot to catch up with friends or family. Also, it's by downtown Monrovia so you can take a stroll after your lunch. read more

This was a cute little spot in downtown Monrovia. The café had a cozy atmosphere and there were quite a few people inside, which is always a good sign. Parking was easy since there were a good amount of spots right outside. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. I ordered a chai tea latte and a turkey avocado sandwich on a croissant with fries. The sandwich was fresh and flavorful, and the croissant was soft and buttery. My chai latte was really good too. Went up to try the Corned Beef Hash & eggs, and I was not disappointed! . Three eggs cooked to perfection along with REAL, yes REAL corned beef and mixed with potatoes! And, Choose the special Corn Bread - homemade! So delicious! I even added a Latte, served quickly, served hot and tasty! And, My server Rhonda was great, both days! Yeah, It was so good I returned with a friend the very next day to have the Belgian waffles & coffee! Yes, another winner breakfast for lunch! Been coming here for a few times and the food doesn't disappoint. If you want a tasty casual brunch spot, this is the place. Coming in around the afternoon, we were able to get a table. We had a friendly waitress that was on point with our bottomless mimosas that she quickly refilled our drinks. I had the build your own eggs/omelette combo where you can choose your side and bread. I opted for the mushroom, spinach and Swiss cheese with a side of Breakfast Potatoes. Yummy omelette that is nicely fluffed but nothing too special. Good portion of spinach and mushrooms and the breakfast potatoes are nice and crispy. The sourdough bread I choose is good and not stale. 8/10 My bf got the House Chorizo and Eggs Combo. The chorizo with the pepper jack cheese is really good with his choice of tortilla bread. The scallloped potato (choice of breakfast side ) isn't crispy so it was a bit of a depressing. Altogether, it's not too bad of a breakfast dish. 7/10 Do come a little early on a weekend for brunch as it can be hard to get a seat. It's been a minute since I've visited Peach Cafe, and had a pleasant visit over a holiday weekend. The restaurant itself isn't super large, but there is both outside and inside seating- which makes a perfect opportunity for enjoying the sunshine during a nice breakfast/brunch. Arriving around 9:15am on a holiday, we waited approximately 10-15 minutes for a table of three (after originally being told 30 minutes- always under promise and over deliver- so nice win!). I did enjoy the options on their coffee menu- specifically the red eye with the mixed coffee and espresso made the perfect balance of caffeine. The menu itself isn't anything too spectacular - in fact I wish there were a couple of more "specialty" options that were unique or offered a spin on classic breakfast options. The food was great, especially the seasoned potatoes- but I did feel like overall it was missing an extra pizazz. I'd definitely visit again- but would love to see a twist in the menu to compete on the brunch roster. read more

Food was fresh hot and amazing. We had a breakfast sandwich with ham and bacon that was outstanding! The scalloped hash browns were so delicious! The service was on point and the whole establishment was so welcoming! Our server was very attentive and a true professional. Plenty of seating in side and out which we liked and you four legged fur babies are welcome which we liked even though we don't have one. We can't wait to go back! Peach Cafe is still going strong as one of our go-to brunch spots in Old Town! I love their lattes and most breakfast items - I've also tried several of their salads since my last review and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. Their salads are chopped nicely with great flavors and perfect amounts of dressing already mixed in - they come with a choice of bread and I always love to get their cornbread. On my last visit I sampled some of the hubby's chicken pesto salad - very skeptically bc I have never been a fan of pesto - but it was fantastic and is what I'll be ordering next time we stop by! I also tried their Peach Omelet with ham, peppers, and so much pepper jack cheese to produce a fantastic melty cheese pull - it was delicious! As my side I did try and give their scalloped potatoes another try and my verdict on those is still the same unfortunately - they have a nice texture but are so bland that I had to add a bunch of salt and pepper so I likely won't get these again until it's been long enough for the amnesia to set in and I think of giving them yet another chance lol. They still offer their popular mimosa flights with lots of unique flavors like guava and mango. But their coffee is some of my fave in the area - all of their lattes have been great and I especially love their con panna! Vibes are cozy. Staff are always lovely and so warm and welcoming. Prices are decent for the area and portions are generous. Lines get long on the weekends and it's usually pretty busy even on weekdays so plan ahead. read more

People come here early and they're serious about being here first. Food is flavorful and creative. They know what they're doing in terms of running a great restaurant. Service is attentive and kind. I'm not too familiar with this area, but I wouldn't hesitate coming back here to The Peach Cafe. The staff is very friendly! The setting is very peaceful. There was a crowd on the day we went but it wasn't too crowded to where it interfered with our conversation. Annie D was courteous, friendly and prompt with our order and our drinks. And the food, Grilled Chicken Club, was tasty. The onion rings were very tasty, not bland like a lot of restaurants. This is definitely a place I look forward to coming back to. read more

I think your coffee refill policy needs to be communicated much more clearly. I'm a loyal customer at this café and sometimes come here twice a week or even more. I'm sure many of the staff members recognize me because I almost always order the same thing ，for coffee ，always Americano coffee. In the past, staff have always been friendly and would ask me if I wanted more coffee. （they also ask other customers）This made me consider coffee could be asked for more. However, today when I asked for more coffee, the staff  told me that I could not get more coffee. Her explanation was that Americanos are made by the espresso machine and therefore are not eligible for refills. This was confusing because I always order an Americano, and I have been offered more coffee many times before. She then explained that only regular coffee can be refilled. So I asked if I could simply have some regular coffee instead, and she told me that I would need to purchase a separate regular coffee first in order to receive a refill. Honestly, this interaction was embarrassing, especially because it happened in front of my friend. If Americanos are not eligible for refills, then why have I repeatedly been offered more coffee during previous visits? The inconsistency in policy and communication made me feel very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I probably will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Peach is my favorite spot in Monrovia. Though their Breakfast is what they are known for... however, my go to is the PC Burger. Hands down best burger in town. Their Bacon is also delicious and worth a shot out. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Vibe is modern cafe. This is the brunch spot you didn't know you needed. Best corned beef hash I've had in a long time. It was seasoned well and portioned just right. The eggs were cooked perfectly & the sourdough was a heart slice. Everything was delicious & comforting as if it was made at home. Especially the hot chocolate which is my favorite. I can't wait to stop by again. The wait time is long because the place is small but is well worth it. Parking is easy so chilling in the car while you wait isn't a major deal. read more

Came during lunch hour and the food was great. However, the service was less than adequate. First, the server came to our table and asked, "are you ready to eat?" No drink order, appetizer, etc. Second, near the end of dining, he asked if we needed anything else. We said, no. So no more follow up, no anything before you get the bill? Suddenly, another server, just drops the check and walks away. I called her back to order a drink. Im a monrovia native who lives out of state, visiting a w old friend. They greeted us when we werent ready to order and then never checked on us for TWO HOURS. Then kicked us out for not ordering food due to a "wait time" as if we werent waiting for our sever for two hours. We were in no hurry but as a customer i shouldn't have to wave you down. Seems like a very popular breakfast place. We arrived around 9:30 AM and waited about 20 minutes for a party of 3. Parking was easy to find. I encourage you to show up early to minimize your wait time. We ordered the following items: Red-eye coffee 10/10, the Americano 9/10, and bottomless mimosas. The Huevos Rancheros 7/10, chorizo with scrambled eggs, fruit & cornbread 7/10, and the egg omelet 8/10. Overall, the food was okay--definitely needs some more flavor. I did, however, love the red-eye coffee. I had two cups! The bottomless mimosas kept coming. Our waitress was Katrina--she was lovely and attentive. read more

My friends and I came here for a brunch and expected to have a great time, but we all didn't have the most pleasant experience here. We first put out name and waited about 15-20 minutes. We then were seated and our server Dana was not very happy and pleasant sadly. We just sat down and were rushed twice to order. We asked for more time and she walked away sadly in a very rude manner. I was very disappointed along with my friends because she wasn't happy serving us at all. We each got our food and food wise is pretty okay. I think the burrito though lacks flavor, nothing very special in it to make me want to eat it again. When it was time to get the bill she didn't even place the bill nicely, she threw it along with my credit card. Sadly won't be returning here, I definitely am surprised with how many people come here when their service is not good. read more

Typically I like to try many places to eat but I keep returning to Peach Cafe. The service has always been good. The staff are friendly. It's a great place for small groups or in pairs. The noise level is always mild so you can actually have a conversation. There's indoor and outdoor seating (which allows dogs!). The food has been mostly delicious! Only rarely has a dish been okay, but those were the weekend specials that rotate weekly. I figured those were experimental dishes and I was feeling adventurous. But the main menu dishes are solid. I ordered the Nuts and Bolts this time. For a second I thought it would be too much food but I ended up finishing it all. The sourdough bread was the right level of crunchiness and no overly harden crust. The bacon isn't overly salty. I don't know what they do with their eggs here but I had Sunnyside up eggs elsewhere recently and it wasn't as good as Peach Cafe. Overall Peach Cafe is great. Definitely recommend! read more

Sadly, I wanted my experience to be better. I make a concerted effort to support local BUT if local doesn't care to be supported, I will take my money elsewhere. The food was mediocre at best, BUT the service from one male server was horrendous. Additionally, he was unprofessional and spoke in a demeaning manner when it was brought to his attention that others who ordered similarly to us AND seated after, received their food first, he was flippant and rude. Maybe it's training, maybe he just doesn't care and maybe it't just the times where human decency and respect are out the window. I think in general his whole demeanor was off as soon as we sat down. He spoke to us like we should be glad we were even served. To add icing, a final way he could have exhibited some form of professionalism, when he brought the receipt with credit card he TOSSED it on the table. No worries, we won't return. Not sure why I don't come here more often! I've been to Peach cafe once a long time ago but always remembered it was good. The first time I came here i tried the breakfast burrito and it was good. This time around I ordered the huevos rancheros and it pleasantly surprised me. The portion was pretty big and satisfying. I don't get this dish often to know how it compares to others but the tostada was crunchy still and the beans were cooked well and they put a generous amount of avocado for topping. I asked for over easy eggs. We also ordered the monte cristo sandwich which had a croissant bread with some powdered sugar on top + jam on the side. The jam oddly goes well with the sandwich but I think the powder sugar was a bit overkill. I do like the sweet and savory combo. It also came with scalloped potatoes which were delicious. We tried the french toast and it was great. Syrup is on the side. I did wish they gave more strawberries. I did like how you have the option to get the full or half serving. The wait was about 30 minutes so we walked around the block but after we came back I heard other customer wait times were 2 hours. It's a small cafe so it can be a bit slower. The server was nice but didn't really fill our waters. Not a super big issue for me but I can tell they want you in and out if they're busy. Overall, the food was good so I'd still recommend trying it if you're local. Their daily specials sounded good so I hope i can try something new next time! read more

Pics of food looked amazing so decided to try this spot on my Friday bike to lunch rides. Let me tell you the flavor is just as amazing as the pics. Since I ordered for pick up I can't speak for the service other than to say that from what I witnessed, the crew moves with a sense of urgency and constantly checks on their customers. Ambiance seems chill. The times we've tried to stop for breakfast has been busy but now that I've sampled the food I can see why. The packaging is the usual packaging but since I'm on a motorcycle asked a favor of having them wrap my food in foil. They complied which shows they care about customer satisfaction. Even while I waited I had others check on me to ensure I was being attended. If you haven't tried ye, you oughta. That said, when cafe de olla is overcrowded come here instead. This review is LONG overdue!! I have been coming here since there used to be a scrapbook store next door (like over 15 years ago!) and this is the one spot where you can get THE BEST crispy scalloped potatoes. In all the years I have been coming here, my go to picks are either the OG breakfast sandwich (over easy egg, cheese, bacon & mayo) or the Monte Cristo (croissant French toast!?) with extra raspberry jelly because it is house made and amazing! They do have mimosas for brunch with the ladies. But be warned that the weekends get busy, and the space isn't the biggest. They have lots of local regulars that come here, which says a lot about the place. All of the staff are super friendly, but Dana is an absolute gem. She is attentive without being a hawk. I appreciate not feeling rushed or watched. Parking is ample- both free lot and street parking is available. Only downfall is that they close at 3pm so no crispy scalloped potatoes for dinner. read more

Our daughter took us to the Peach Cafe. . What a wonderful neighborhood eatery! It seemed to be a favorite of the locals. Dana was our server but other staff helped out too. We had exemplary service and the food was delicious. I asked Dana what she would recommend & she emphatically said, " The Monte Cristo". The Monte Cristo was my favorite sandwich as a young woman so I had to order it. French Toast w/eggs & ham.., it was outstanding. I could only eat half of it so I took the other half home. We loved this brunch spot and definitely will be coming back!! Came on by around noon mid day on weekday but still had about half hour wait. It's not bad since it's in old town Monrovia, drop your name and do a lap, get that text when table is ready, and it'll feel like there was no waiting! I was delighted to see this cafe's menu isn't overwhelming with too many iitem's. The strawberry shortcake (very much like french toasts) topped with toasted oats was the star of our meal. The added oats gave it nice crunch texture with the soft bread that's layered in all the sweet goodness. Monte Cristo sandwich was a delight. Is it a sandwich or a pastry?! I enjoyed taking a bite each time as I crunched in, putting a little raspberry jam before each bite. My lady enjoyed her scramble too. Couldn't get a nice picture because she was way too hungry before the camera ate first lol. But yeah, all three were plated well and delicious. Service is friendly and very good. A neighbor told me about this hidden gem and I decided to try it out with my son. Wow can't believe I've been missing out on this spot which is tucked away down a side street from the main Monrovia strip . Parking is great and the cafe is warm and welcoming. Food is fantastic and I had the best latte ever and I'm a coffee snob. The staff are friendly attentive and efficient. You don't feel rushed and there's a healthy turnover of customers. We went on a Tuesday and I would say the cafe gets very busy at weekends. There is a small outside seating area and inside is open plan with a more modern decor but yet has an old cafe feel with the exposed red brick and gentle lighting. Superb value and perfectly cooked meals . Definitely now my go to breakfast spot . If you have guests coming into town this would be a great place to take them to . Had a nice crunchy layer of cheese and the flavor was chef's kiss. Their breakfast burrito with a side of home potatoes was a 10/10. Usually, breakfast burritos are very greasy, rich. This one was so delicious and homemade like. Eggs were fluffy, perfect amount of bacon and potatoes and the Red and green salsa were a perfect compliment. The Nuts and Bolts breakfast was excellent too. Their eggs were perfectly over medium and fresh. The bacon was crunchy perfection and the side waffle was a generous portion. First we had to wait an hour to be seated... which wouldn't have been a big deal if it was worth the wait. Being that we just had entered and sat down, we asked her about their mimosas and she simply pointed at the sign on the wall. No explanation and comments. Just point. So we read the sign and asked about one of the flavors; if it was a popular one. She responded, "I don't know. I don't drink". This short and rude service continued throughout the meal. Our waters were empty almost the entire time; never refilled. She never came to check on us if we needed anything after our meal was served. The wine we later ordered was served in dirty glasses.
