I moved to Riverside when I got married so I don't get very great food often lol We were in the mall and when I saw Massis we had to stop in for a snack. I wasn't even hungry. Just feeling snacky. My husband and I shared the falafel wrap. He always thought he hated falafels. He doesn't. He just never had it made right. We devoured it even though we "weren't hungry." It was a great portion. Served with hummus and I'm not sure the other sauce. Didn't taste like garlic sauce to me. It also came with chips (made of pita). Nice and thin. Easy to eat unlike thick pita chips. Lastly, it came with pickled beets. My husband ordered an iced tea. It was delicious. Not bitter as if it had been steeped too long. It was perfect and refreshing for a hot day like today. For this visit, my hubby and I got their Combo 12A, which comes with two chicken kabobs. The rice ratio always feels way more than the actual meats itself. Our food was ready in less than 5 minutes and came in a nice tray for dining in. You can always ask for to-go container and they will oblige. Our friends ordered their food to go and they had hummus with their food so I'm wondering if hummus is only for to-go orders. On our most recent visit, my husband tried the swai fish plate since he's been eating more seafood lately, and it turned out to be a great choice. My parents decided they wanted to try the place because it looked really good and smelled great. The service seemed pretty quick as well, we didn't really wait long for the food but the line to order was fairly long. We got a meal plate (#8 Gyro) to snack on and try, and it came in a fairly large to go container! I enjoyed the crispy shaved meat very much with the salad it came with and used the pita bread to eat with everything. My parents were a bit unsure about the rice, yogurt sauce, and they debated how they made the shaved meat. They also ate the grilled chili pepper and assumed it wasn't spicy but it was REALLY spicy! Outanding Mediterranean restaurant located in the food court at the shops at Santa Anita mall. Imo, they have the best gyro sandwiches. We ordered two entrees. 1. This might be my favorite spot in the Arcadia Mall food court. The food is always good and everything feels clean and fresh. I usually go for the Luna kebob, the ground beef plate. It's way more flavorful than the steak plate in my opinion. Plus, the portion size is still good, even after everything that's happened with the pandemic and inflation. I'm a big fan of their salads, especially the cucumber tomato one. Super refreshing. We had to ask for complimentary sauces like the yogurt sauce (tastes like a very mild yogurt sauce), hot sauce (tastes like a sour acidic buffalo wing sauce), and a mild green salsa verde like sauce. We also paid for a chimichurri sauce and it was very good. We ordered the pink lemonade and it included free refills for it at the self-serve dispenser by cashier. Their lamb is sliced very thinly and felt fairly it was deliciously original for mall food. After a two hour bowling marathon at Bowlero Arcadia, my friends from work and myself were ready to chow down. The food court was conveniently located right outside the bowling alley. I went on a Monday evening at the Santa Anita Mall, they are located right in the food court. It was very busy and I ordered their chicken and beef combo which comes with a side. I got the Shirazi salad which is a seasoned cucumber and tomato "salsa". There were lots of people at the food court so it was quite loud, but as a take-out restaurant, that is to be expected. The chicken and beef were both outstanding and well marinated, with the rice perfectly cooked long grain. The Shirazi salad was excellent as well. The portions were enough for two people.
