They eventually took my order, but I was completely underwhelmed with the bowl & the 3 pieces of chicken they gave me. The food here is very good. It's fast, it's easy and it's tasty. The only reason I'm leaving a review is because of how awful the staff was. No interactions other than what I wanted and no help whatsoever about the menu or what they offered. It felt like I was being rushed through the line without any regard for me as a customer. We ordered from work, anyone who got arugula in their bowl was greeted by bolted stems which was like eating toothpicks. Having researched bolted arugula, you can eat the flowers, seeds and leaves...but the 8-10 inch stems are not edible. Tried to call...but they don't answer their phone. I've been here 10 times and really enjoy it, but it's amazing how far the standards and cleanliness have fallen. Tonight at 8:30 it was filthy and understaffed on the front line. The line staff was practicing improper food rotation standards and missing baines in the steam table proved not hot proteins (health code violation). The manager was in front of the building shouting on the phone and then brought that conversation into the restaurant, amazing! At this rate it will just be another Chipotle in another month. This place was horrible. It took two people 15 minutes to figure out how to put together my pita? Their were only three on the menu and they had a directions guide to follow in front of them. I can't believe CAVA is a fast casual restaurant--the flavors are something you'd fine at an authentic Middle Eastern eatery, but served with Chipotle-like efficiency and huge portions. The braised lamb is tender, the basmati rice buttery, and I want to drink the skhug sauce. The employees were super friendly, too (they offered me a drink on the house when my to-go order wasn't quite ready--so nice, especially since they have tons of fresh juices and unique sodas to choose from). I've been to Cava a few times now. So delicious! I usually do the greens and grains. I still can't get over that you can pick up to three spreads. I usually get the crazy feta (jalapeno-infused feta mousse made with the finest imported Greek feta) and the harissa (spicy spread made from tomatoes and peppers). For protein, I go for gold and get the spicy lamb meatballs. Yum! I go crazy with the toppings and have to have shredded romaine, fire roasted corn, diced cucumber, fresno peppers, and avocado and finish it off with the lemon herb tahini. I love ordering their fresh seasonal juices and then doing a suicide. Yes, I am back in junior high but combining the different juices is very exciting. I wish that I could create seasonal pairings for them when they introduce the new flavors. There are so many options here that everyone can find something that they like! Our Cava is located in the Green Hills Malls area so parking is always a beast. I've spent more time looking for parking than standing in line to order my meal. The staff have been friendly ever time I visit and I look forward to my next visit. read more

I've given Cava the benefit of the doubt. Been here 3 or 4 times now. The closest thing I can compare it to is Roti (similar food/setup), but not as good. I typically get a grain bowl & add grilled vegetables. I'm usually going around lunch time, so maybe it's just that they're busy, but most of the grilled vegetables are BURNT burnt. To the point where you ask yourself "is this even healthy anymore?" Overall I actually like everything Cava has conceptually, but I'm always disappointed. read more

Came here for the first time and would not come back. We ordered the grilled chicken pita. The guy kept asking us what we wanted on it even though it's not custom. We told him twice but he was still clueless. Then another lady went and got a recipe out of a box to make it. They don't even know their own menu. Then, we were overcharged and had to get a refund. They didn't know how to give a refund so they gave us cash. Just overall a super confusing experience where no employees knew what they were doing. read more

I wanted to love this place. I tried it a few times, but I never loved my food. Certain meats are more compared to others which is not disclosed until after you check out. For example, harissa honey chicken is a dollar more than just regular chicken? Why? They're both chicken. The difference in seasoning is definitely not worth the up-charge. Then, the toppings are nothing great. Literally four different variations of cucumbers and tomatoes (among other toppings). Overall, not impressed. Ok I LOVE CAVA BUT I went and the girls working didn't want to make my food. When I asked for my mini pita, the one girl said they were out but then on the sly handed me one and said she's telling people that because she doesn't want to prep them. When I got to the protein, they were all out of everything BUT harissa chicken. Because I had no other choice, I said "ok," but it ended up being too spicy for me, so I had to throw my bowl away. On top of that the chicken was cold like it had been in the fridge. All of a sudden, employees started screaming at what I assume is the manager because they didn't want to do the work they were assigned or prep any food. I was shocked. All of the locations I've been to in California are amazing but I've had the same experience at this location multiple times. The customer service is AWFUL! I leave in just as bad a mood as the employees. I love Cava but I think I'm gonna have to be done with this one. This time the associates were vocal they were ready to close. I got to the point where they add meat and they had ONE. They were not cooking anymore and judging by the fact the grill was cleaned way before I got there they didn't care. We weren't given an option for drinks and the card readers were broken. While eating we were all locked in with no one attending the door which is surely a fire hazard. We had to figure out how to unlock the door to get out. He was very patient with my decision making and very suggestive and informative. Mario made my experience so great, I returned the next day.
