I stopped at Cava for lunch yesterday and was met with the most delightful aromas. It was a quick and easy process (I had stopped for a late lunch), that was similar to a Chipotle style, build your entree type menu. There's a great amount of greens, grains, proteins, dressings, and of course the dips. The fried pita was amazing, and though I didn't try it the fresh juice/tea options sounded great. I will definitely be back for more fresh dining with great options and decent prices. The staff weren't as welcoming as I would hope, especially considering it was my first time and I was a bit unclear of the process and options at first. I usually love this place. I've gotten it 3-4 times. However the last two times the orders have gotten much sloppier. Ordered through Uber eats today. I ordered two different grain bowls and they sent two of the exact same ones. Found a hair in one of them. Orders arrived cold and were prepared sloppily. Serving was much smaller than previous times I have eaten here. Sloppiness seems like a trend with some of the other reviews I've seen on here. Wow. I'm so impressed with CAVA! This is one of those restaurants where there are a ton of options that make it difficult to choose what to order. It's assembly style where you pick from a variety of options and I ordered the greens and grains bowl with RightRice, chicken, roasted veggies, and lots of toppings. For toppings I had the hummus, spicy harissa, pickled onions, cucumber and tomato, Tzatziki, and Greek vinaigrette. The food was awesome and a large portion that was enough for multiple meals. New spot outside of the Green Hills mall. Recommended by my friend Jordan. I don't eat Mediterranean food often, so i don't know if it's true Mediterranean but I loved it. My friend said it was a similar to Chipotle style set up. I agree. I wasn't familiar with what I was ordering so they answered all my questions. Great customer service especially considering how busy they were. There was a line to the door but they got through it quick. I got the Greens + Grains with the crazy feta, eggplant and red pepper and tzatziki spreads with the harissa chicken ($0.99 extra). Food was very fresh. I was so excited to try this place after seeing their very well-placed ads across social media. I'm a sucker for Greek and Mediterranean food, and this place delivered! The concept is basically like Chipotle, but for Mediterranean food. It's a little overwhelming when you go your first time - so many options and sauces! So I had a hard time knowing what would taste good. The main thing my group learned is, you can never have too much sauce or mix too many! Those who chose one felt it was a little too bland or dry, but I mixed two or three sauces and dressings and it was delicious! Also, the honey harissa chicken is the way to go! So darn good - definitely spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. I wish it was slightly cheaper, but honestly for the amount of food you get and how yummy it is, I will be back often!! read more

Listen, I have no idea what's going on here, but after having THREE, TERRIBLE experiences in a row, I have to write a review. I love cava. The options, the quality of food, the convenience. This location is appalling. I work in the area, and will order online regularly. For months, cava was something I looked forward to every week. Just today, the experience was cringe beyond words. Waited 20 mins to get up to the counter. 7 employees working. Place was a dump. Trash everywhere, no drinks in the self serve section. Forks and knives a mess. Trash cans overflowing. It was disgusting and I should've left, but I hadn't eaten all day and wrote it off as being a busy day for them, short staffed, Covid, whatever. Get up to order and the tall blonde guy has his AirPods in. Hysterical. Seriously AIRPODS? I order a bowl and guess what? THEYRE out of literally every protein except some chicken that looks old and dry. There was nothing else, when they usually have 5-6 choices protein wise. I don't eat meat and am told they are out of roasted vegetables and falafel. Had I have known that, I would've left. I let it go and ask for more lentils instead. Then the next girl, asks what toppings I'd like. She is miserable. They all look and sound miserable. It's uncomfortable for all of us. I feel unwanted there. I HATE experiencing that. I'm a paying customer, who is very understanding to a point. Anyway, she asks if I want a protein I say "'no I don't eat chicken, but I'd like falafel if you can fry some." A cook shouts "falafel is coming," so I wait. I get my falafel and my toppings and ask for pita. Girl says "we out." Okay. Of course you are. I pay and leave. I feel awful. If I wanted a salad I'd go next door. Also, the employees look so unhappy. What is going on?!? That's so tasteless, kind of like my bowl today. I know it's petty and they are probably being paid $15 an hour, but come on. Y'all need to have some serious management changes or close. I've had better service at subway off the interstate. Rewind to last week. I show up and there's a sign on the door. "Short staffed. Online orders only. This was last Sunday. I said oh okay no problem, and i order online for 6pm (it was 545 and soonest available was 6pm) FORTY TWO MINUTES LATER.....I'm livid and standing in the lobby. I could gone and sat down at a restaurant and had my food in less than 45 minutes. 45 minutes for a 15 min Togo bowl of glorified salad. This is the stuff I'm talking about. Where are the managers? LOVE LOVE LOVE. I was so excited to see this new addition to the Green Hills mall last month. It's incredibly fresh, flavorful and there are so many options. I love that everything on the menu is fully customizable, it was almost too hard to choose haha. We went within the first month that it opened and waited about 15 minutes in line. I had my bowl put in a to go container and I'm glad I did because the portion size was great. It's definitely enough for 2 meals! A colleague and I tried the new spot, braving the horrors of Green Hills. The challenge with the location is that while the staff is amazing at getting food made quickly (you queue up, create your order, sort of like Chipotle or Mo's), and clean up quickly, the seating is limited. The staff are so nice at this location. I would go back for them and the delicious food. However, there is a good way around this. I got my bowl in a to go container, because the portions are ginormous, and I finished mine for dinner. Ingredients are fresh, the diversity of the base options are great (I went for black lentils and super greens), there are some really good toppings (I asked for all of them #shameless). I chose the falafel as protein. The falafel had big chunks in it, maybe of chickpea, which was a little odd because I'm accustomed to it being chunk-free, but having falafel in a basement restaurant in Bethlehem, West Bank, Palestine, can make one into a horrid snob. I got harissa, the feta garlic, and the eggplant dips. If there had been no seating, we could have taken our lunches back to the office. But there was seating, so we sat and ate and had our meeting, and brought our leftovers home with us. The worst part were the two older white women standing over us (younger women of color) staring as we ate, because they wanted to snatch our seat. They nabbed the table next to us, and kept stabbing a finger so close to my laptop I was worried they were gonna take it. I almost grabbed that lady's finger. And before my colleague had even stood up from the table, one of them grabbed it to try to drag it closer to her table. And, because payback is sweet, the tables are bolted to the floor. read more

So if you're in the business to watch a WWE match between Cava employees then this is the right place for you!!! I love the food here and am so sad that the owners have let the employees behave this way. I walked up to the restaurant with 6 employees fighting and screaming at each other. They were holding each other back and trying to physically hurt each other. Several more employees joined them and just watched. Meanwhile, the line is getting backed up h cause most of the employees were outside fighting. They finally broke it up and it seemed there wasn't any consequence to what they had just done. I heard a new employee ask one of the girls that was outside of that has happened before and the girl said "oh yeah it's happened a few times" WHAT?! They have fought at their own workplace before and kept their jobs. Wow. Several medical professionals left and didn't even order because it was so uncomfortable and alarming. I took a video of it just in case things went south. If the owner would like me to email the video I would be happy to do so. This is unacceptable and everyone in line agreed that they should've all been fired on the spot and escorted out. Not coming back in and getting sodas out of the machine. I hope you all can get this under control before it's too late. In the meantime, if you're craving Cava there's a new one on Broadway at the fifth and broad development. read more

This whole place needs a reboot. Clearly management is having issues and it is trickling down to the staff. They have weird/different hours every day. Some days they're not even open, some days they'll randomly close at 2 or 3pm. The employees stand around doing nothing while we wait for our food that we paid for online. Smh. read more

Food is fresh and comparable to Chipotle in general with a few more vegetable choices but less flavor. I would come back when I am really hungry. One thing I have pointed out to their workers is that they waste a lot of PLASTIC container covers. They gave every order a cover without even asking the customers if they were going to dine in or take out. As a matter of fact, the vast majority of the customers were dining in and simply throwing the covers into the trash bin with zero use.
