Just giving a 3 for now. Went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday. I found it by doing a yelp search for healthy eats in my work area. The photos were what drew me in. I also love Mediterranean food. My first observation was that nobody seemed happy to see us, nor did they look happy to be there or happy to help us. We asked a few questions about the bowls and how the system works. I already knew that I wanted the chicken with right rice from the menu, but my friend had a custom bowl. The staff definitely knew their products and what was in them, so high marks for that. The drink choices were odd for the type of restaurant this is. They were also out of ice but had a note saying staff could get some if desired. There was plenty of seating inside and out, but it started getting busier as we were leaving. I was honestly disappointed in my lunch choice and regretted buying it. The chicken was fatty and grisly... which tells me it wasn't trimmed properly, which might mean someone is being lazy or cheap. I picked at it all through lunch. I almost threw it away, but brought it home with me instead. I think it was around $15 with a small drink. I decided to try again today, but I picked out the chicken that wasn't chicken (gristle and fat) and put the rest of the bowl in the microwave. I have to tell you...It was amazing. So much better hot!! So, l promise to revisit in the next 1-2 months. If I am greeted with a smile and helped by seemingly happy people who can serve me this delicious food hot with properly trimmed chicken, then I will up my review to a 5. read more

blown away that i have never tried this place until now and i've been missing out! they have a chipotle style build your own bowl service with PLENTY of options for the proteins, toppings, dressings, etc. everything looks and tastes fresh and made with wholesome ingredients. they also don't skimp out on the portions. for the drinks, the cucumber mint lime is amazing. staff was very patient and accommodating during my ordering too. such a good lunch spot! read more

This CAVA location needs help! Ordered three lamb bowls and lamb falafel wrap. Order stated ready at 8:15pm. When we arrived for pickup, order was not ready due to the employee saying the lamb was not ready. Then, I was asked, "Would I like an alternate in the third bowl?" (The answer is NO since we had paid for lamb online.) Fast forward 15 min later at 8:30pm, the third dish was made, and then the lamb falafel wrap was getting packed. Once home, we opened the bowls to find all three bowls drenched with sauces and barely any greens. The worst part, no lamb balls in first two dishes and only 3 of 4 lamb balls in the third dish. In addition, the wrap was such a disappointment. The kid making it seemed inexperienced and couldn't care less. So sloppy in wrapping it with sauces drenched on top. Be careful if you want to eat healthy and then get smothered dressing to eat instead with no lamb. This location needs to be held accountable! Demanding compensation! read more

I went in to the Carmel Mountain location for the first time last week and was very impressed with the cleanliness and spacious atmosphere. I was greeted by Valery while she was helping the family in front of me. I was on my lunch break so I felt rushed but she quickly helped them and moved onto me. Joey was working the line, which was a shocker when I found out he is the General Manager of the store. The food is always flavorful and delicious. I will always recommend CAVA to friends if we are near especially because I am vegan and they have plenty of options for me. I had a great experience for my first time here. read more

ZERO STARS!!! cava has been my fav restaurant, unfortunately THIS specific location was the most outrageous place I received my food from. Especially the manager Joey was incredibly rude and obnoxious. I asked a few normal questions about the ingredients because I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant! And I wanted to know GOD DAMN IT! To keep my baby safe. Ohh but he responded with "are you actually pregnant or fat?" WHAT THE F IS THAT????? He NEEDS to be FIRED!!! he's lucky my husband wasn't with me!!! I was appalled. I'm pretty sure he spit in my food too!!!! What a low life. Get a better job if you're so miserable and who gave this idiot a job here. Cava is one of my fav restaurants and this was my first time visiting this location. While the young male who made my food had great customer service and was very kind, unfortunately that is the only positive thing I have to say. It was nearly empty, however while the young gentleman was helping 2 other guests i waited awhile for someone to help me, while two younger female employees were simply talking and hanging out . All of the tables in the dining room are either covered in trash, or are very sticky. The female restroom also seemed like it hasn't been cleaned in a while as it was covered in trash. And unfortunately the food was poorly prepared, as some of rice was crunch like it hadn't been fully cooked and there was bad pieces of chicken. For nearly $20 for a bowl and small drink i just expected a bit more. I would completely understand if there busy but it was very slow when i came in. I really hate to trash on a place, especially one that i love to eat at, and hopefully i just came in on a bad day read more

I regularly visit the CAVA in One Paseo and was excited to see this location open up much closer to my home. Despite only being open for a few days when I placed my first order, I found the service to be excellent. CAVA must have brought some employees from other locations - at a minimum the staff was clearly very well trained as everything was flowing smoothly. My order for pickup was ready at the scheduled time, where it was supposed to be, and correct. The food was excellent as always. I have since been back twice and the experience was the same. The prices are fair (excellent when you consider the quality of the food). I highly recommend the Harissa Avocado Chicken bowl! read more

Honestly the food is pretty good, my favorite would be the Honey Chicken. I love the ingredients, pita bread, the sauces, and the spicy lamb meatballs are gas. The only downside would be that it is overpriced. The bowl itself with one item is $18 but when you add an extra it ends up being like $24. When I get there it's a line out the door, I make note of the last guy in line when I get there, he gets his food before mine is ready!! AND they leave something out of my order (this time pita) EVERY time. Please work on expediting the to-go orders, the to-go window had at least 5 people waiting when I got there. If I could give this place no stars I would. As someone who loves CAVA, I was so excited that one was opening in Carmel Mountain. On 3/28 after working all day, I confirmed that this location was open until 10pm online and showed up at 930pm. One of the doors was locked which caught me off guard but I went in through the other entrance which was open. Out of consideration for the workers, I asked if they were open. There were 2 Asian kids working. A friendly female kid said yes. Her coworker scowled at me and her and proceeded to make his way over to where ppl place their orders. He was visibly upset slamming things and making grunts and sighs. When he was done washing his hands and putting on his gloves, he asked 'what do you want,' in an abrasive, rude tone. I responded by saying that if he is going to have such a negative , abusive attitude, I would rather not order food. At that point, there was another gentleman in line behind me also waiting to order. The kid's rude response prompted the person behind me to ask if they were still open. I told the kid I don't appreciate his attitude and left. I have never been more disappointed at Cava than that day and don't plan on returning. I also noticed 2 flies in the food case which was gross but I could have overlooked this. However, being rude and throwing things is unprofessional regardless of where you work. Also, if your website and yelp both say that you close at 10pm, why would you close at 930pm when your entire eating area is full of customers. read more
