But the food is the star! You get so much food for what you pay for & can split an entree or use it for two meals. The bowl is so good and I love that it's build your own, with so many topping options. Their spicy hummus is my absolute favorite, the feta cheese is so fresh, and the meat is always tender & flavorful. Loove the chicken! Another favorite part is the sauce station, allowing you to choose between four sauces that are all good, but primarily the cilantro sauce which my partner can never get enough of! The menu here is a bit confusing to figure out. I decided on the sirloin kabob platter with sides of falafel and fries. Great service and food cooked to order. There is inside and outside dining areas. I opted for inside and found all tables clean and a nice condiment station with tasty sauces self serve. My meal was about twenty dollars. The food here is SO GOOD. Wraps are delicious, plates are really super (basically the same, but with fewer carbs). The salads are really tasty. I'm so happy we got TKB over in San Marcos now. I walked in and it's very clean and inviting. You can order from a kiosk or the front. There are a lot of choices for fillings to go with the main protein you choose (i went with chicken). I got spicy hummus as one of the fillings and wow! At this location, I had a tray of chicken Shawarma as part of my large family pack, and it was not even halfway filled, on top of that, it was burnt shredded chicken as if it was scraped off something. . When I brought it up with the staff, I was told that "it is what it is". Again, I have never received such terrible service/attitude with inquiring about my meals. I ordered a falafel wrap, with the extras cooked vegetables ($1 extra) and saffron rice (free), and also a side Greek salad. The wrap was delicious, but an issue I had is that there weren't enough falafel balls in the wrap. To my taste, I would have liked maybe three more falafel balls. I liked the Greek salad - the feta cheese was shredded, but maybe the salad was on the small side. Something to note is that for the falafel wrap The Kebab Shop doesn't give you tahini sauce, which is the authentic sauce eaten in the Middle East where falafel wraps are from and widely consumed. TKS gives you their own "OG sauce" - which is tasty, but not traditional. The interior design of the restaurant feels funky warehouse, but two screens showing moving promotional images really killed the vibe, and made it hard for me to to eat in peace. I see no reason to have TVs in restaurants. The interior design of the spaces should be interesting enough without screens, and if I want to watch something, I'll do it at home or on my cell phone. read more
