Wanted to try this place for the first time. Tried placing an online order (I didn't look at reviews ahead of time) and wait over 50 minutes only to be told they couldn't refund me in store. Terribly slow and inattentive service. All without anyone else in line. How can you be fully staffed (crew of 5+) and still be slower than molasses? I literally waited for 5 minutes as 3 ppl in the prep area chose the music selection on their portable radio. If this were my 1st time ever going to Cava, I would never go to another one. I used to love getting cava before going to this location. I would go to the Owings Mills one as this was not built yet. After switching to the Timonium location my love for Cava has depreciated. They are so inconsistent and never have my order right when doing online orders. They either forget something or just give me the wrong order. read more

This store is awful ! Who ever the is the hiring manager they need to GET MORE PEOPLE !!!! If I am investing my money into a meal why are you cheating me out my bowl of $11.36 sometimes more I even pay . Just to be told you don't have something or most the the time my service is horrible with a long wait . I was very hesitant to try this location because of these reviews. I decided to go in and order in person rather than place an online order to make sure everything was correct. Ended up having a pleasant experience. I wasn't initially greeted but I don't really care about that, everyone was still polite. Everything seemed to be in stock, but I did come very shortly after they opened. There was a couple in front of me who had never tried Cava, and the employee was patiently and informatively walking them through the order process. Afterwards they ended up giving the couple their order for free since they were new customers. My food was good but unfortunately the sweet potatoes were undercooked and difficult to cut/bite into hence the 4 stars. Otherwise I do think they are picking up on the reviews and making an effort to improve! read more

Food was okay. Miffed that I got charged extra for something and I didn't realize it at the time because it was my first time eating there. My friend got mostly the same thing except for a cookie. I went first and my order cost $27 for a bowl with drink and cookie! while she paid $14 for a bowl and drink. You can't see what is being rung up as there is no monitor for customer and cashier doesn't give a receipt. As we sat down and compared costs, I went online as if I was ordering to see what it would be if I picked the same exact things and it was under $20. I went back to cashier to ask about my charges and manager came over to give me a refund of the difference. Still no screen for me to see how much but scanned my credit card for the "refund" but it has been almost 2 months and no refund has shown on my account. Be aware of the total before paying! Today my rice was uncooked/crunchy, avocado and carrot not fresh ( rotten and not edible ) and the worker put the wrong chicken on even though I asked twice to confirm that she had not put the spicy. They are often out of pita bread. read more

This was my husband's first experience with Cava and my third. I love the clean food and all the healthy options that taste amazing. Our experience was beyond special tonight as we not only got fresh yummy food, but the ones cooking it, making the dishes, being so patient while you add umpteenth toppings and the manager went above and beyond for three customers, couples tonight. We were all given a "Love card"...which means your order is FREE. This time that we are in with such inflation, how incredibly kind to extend such blessings to others. And if the whole experience of having kind humans genuinely caring about their customers, they top the night off with hot fresh pita crisps ...first time and wow are they good. I highly recommend Cava in Timonium, York Rd. A huge thank you to Jermaul in the kitchen, Isaiah, Exavier and Shanae blessing others just because Thank you. We will be back. I am excited a place like this opened near me. However, they were out of some main ingredients around 2:30, which was a bit frustrating. The staff didn't seem to happy. I'm hoping, since this is a new location, they're just off to a bumpy start. I'd love to come back and try again though. The food was actually really good! I love lamb! read more

my husband and I went in on Saturday night. there were only 3 people working the entire store, line out the door and mobile orders piling up. they even ran out of kids for bowls at one point while we waited. well, y'all let me tell you, this manger and her crew rocked! friendly, smiling, busting their butts to make us food and never once complained, even with people waiting was dining room deep. the store was clean, food was good (as always) and the manager so kind!! we will be back for certain! huge thank you again to "Nae" for making our night out a good one! read more

Very disappointing! I was so excited to go to the new Cava location closer to home. But unfortunately, my first experience to the new Cava was very disappointing. They did not give me much of the harissa chicken because they ran out and could only give me whatever amount they have left. They also didn't have much toppings as most places. Then, I asked for pita bread and they said they ran out of that as well. When I finished paying my food, the cashier just handed me the bowls I paid for without a bag. I looked at her confused as the person before me got a bag. They also ran of utensils. Overall, the customer service was terrible from the people that worked there and they act as if they don't know anything or don't want to do any work. Most importantly, the experience didn't make it any better when they don't have anything; they should keep up with their inventory. Based on my experience, I won't be coming back to this location. I'd rather drive to the Cava location in White Marsh, where the service is better and food is not scarce than come back to this location. It makes the experience even worst when I recommended it to my husband and when he did go with me to Cava, he wasn't impressed. I had to apologized for the bad experience. read more
