I love Chopt!!! It is my favorite non guilty lunch or dinner pleasure!!! The portions are always greatly appreciated and the flavors are spot on. I loveeeeee there homemade dressings. They even have the containers for sale. This was my first time having their soup and that was nice aswell. My only issue was that I asked for certain things to not be in my salad ( like tomatoes and pickled onions) and they still put it in there. For the price of a salad they give you these pigeon size portions of each side, it's litterally like a tablespoon full, it's kinda mind blowing actually. Got chicken added for like 2.99 and it was legit three little pieces......I paid 15.99 for basically all kale. Nice staff but I won't come back. read more

After a workout, a nice salad seemed like a wise choice, so I decided to give Chopt a try. The place was bright and clean upon arrival, with a clear and easy-to-read menu. The staff were attentive and respectful. At the counter, you start by choosing your salad toppings and then select your greens. I went with corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, broccoli, cheese, carrots, and grilled chicken on Romaine lettuce, with white balsamic vinaigrette. They add the dressing, mix everything up, and then chop it. I also got a piece of bread to go with the salad. Including a tip, the total was about $18. Everything was fresh, but next time, I'll ask for the dressing on the side. I'll also skip the grilled chicken--while the pieces were large, they lacked flavor, so I ended up picking them out. Maybe I'll try shrimp or salmon instead. Overall, it was a decent salad experience. read more

4.5 stars for me - I really love Chopt. They have a lot of different salad and bowl options to choose from with the ability to customize the toppings and dressing as you would like. They highlight high protein options which is helpful for the health conscious. I like that they have a wide variety of dressings to choose from. So far I have tried the Cobb salad, southwestern, steak salad, and the Norwegian salmon bowl. The salmon was phenomenal. It was cooked almost Perfectly (I hate overcooked salmon and there's was pretty close to medium. Personally I like it a little bit less cooked that it was but I understand for most customers that they tend to cook it a little bit more). I love the warm grains. I just wish the bowl was bigger for the price. The southwestern steak salad was also really good. The steak was a little bit overcooked in my opinion. Overall, this is a really great salad place and I definitely will keep coming back. Inside, It's a little bit cold (strong AC), but it's very clean and decorated well. I frequented a place on JHH's campus called "Salad Creations" for years. It was a reasonably priced create your own salad spot that had amazing options to build your own or choose/customize an available option. They closed some time ago and I've yet to find a close match until now. Sometime you want a simple Caesar salad. Sometimes you want a huge salad with 100 things - sweet and salty, soft and crunchy. Chopt meets my expectations of what a "salad spot" should be. I chose to make my own salad and it was delicious. I chose a kale mix with panko chicken and a bunch of throw ins. I love that they have goat cheese and wontons - personal faves. It seems they have seasonable options so I'd love to see some berries on the menu. My salad was delicious and HUGE! I ate it at 4pm as a late lunch and didn't need dinner. It didn't make it out of the parking lot! The location is just across Dulaney Valley Road from Towson Mall and has ample free parking. There's also a lot of space inside to eat. Everything was clean and the customer service was excellent. If this place weren't 25 min up the beltway I would go 2-3 times a week. Warm bowls too, although lots of cold on top of the warm. Calorie count on each meal is pretty low for the taste, quantity and quality of food. read more

Service is slow. Twice in one visit, two different employees touch things other than my salad (fist bump a guest and the other grabbing dirty pans taking it to the back then move to prepare my salad. Removal of solid gloves and hand washing should be a practice. read more

If you are looking for a healthier fast food option, Chopt Creative Salad Co. is a great choice. This location is bright, clean, open and the staff is friendly. We have been here a few times, but recently I ordered the Classic Cobb and substituted grilled chicken with panko fried chicken and blue cheese with aged parm. I had them add some EVOO along with the buttermilk ranch. I also added parm crisps. I think the food lacks a bit of flavor in general. The menu is displayed on large TV screens and they also have a display of the different dressings categorized. All calories are listed so you can control your intake, making cognizant eating relatively effortless. read more

Had a great experience checking out Chopt for the first time! It was super cool that their opening event offered 50% off for customers, and 100% of sales went to Next One Up, a Baltimore non-profit benefiting young men from the community! She instructed me on how to get the salads we wanted ordered and she handled everything on her end. We had excellent customer service and we would order again. I like Chopt, but unfortunately the service here was a little lacking. I ordered a wrap and was handed it by itself wrapped up in paper and uncut. I had to go back and ask for it to be cut in half and was then given a tray to eat in with friends. Was definitely a little disappointed with the customer service here, which is a shame. read more

Terrible food! Wonderful ambiance! Beautiful inside & nice people but the salad just doesn't hit. I have been eating salad forever & I have never been charged 80 cents for grape tomatoes! Also there is no onion! What is a salad without onion! That just seems odd to me. Also they charge another 80 cents for their signature salad...so your already up 2$ when you walk through the door. Also the bowls they serve the salad in make ZERO sense. Why pay extra for toppings that end up at the bottom of an 8 inch tall bowl! It's a detractor for me. Other than that it's cool that they offer shrimp as a topping but again. Be ready for a strangely "dry" tasting salad no matter how much dressing you use. So, I've been here twice now! Two days in a row, and I will make this my lunch spot! How does it stand out? It's friendly, it's somewhat spacious, and it's clean! They also give a military discount; why? Because of American! Does it sway my review? Not at all, but it's nice to eat in Towson for around 9 dollars. Went once. Won't go back. Arrived and there were no other customers. Many staff members standing around and it still took several minutes before someone came to take care of us. When the gentleman did start to work with me it was clear he didn't want to and he was quite rude. The salad toppings were a bit pedestrian and it felt more like a salad I would get at a food court in a mall. Everything was fresh and the shop was clean.
