I've had the grain bowls and the greens bowls and both have been great with fresh greens that give a nice fresh crunch! The food is always good and always tastes fresh and very well seasoned! I love Cava I eat here at least twice a week. I have only had two bad experiences. One time I ordered online and they did not add my protein and the other time my lentils were hard. Love getting some healthy quick food in the triad!! When I heard that Cava was opening in Winston, and so close to all the places I frequent anyway (looking at you, Trader Joe's) I was thrilled. And let me tell you, this spot did not disappoint in the slightest. The inside is really nice and always kept clean, I love that there's patio seating as well for those spring and summer lunches. There's a whole wall for takeout which is very nice to look at and very functional. Food wise, I haven't even found a favorite in the 8+ months they've been open because everything is so good I'm always mixing it up! I really love the harissa chicken if you like some spice. Wow, I do not think I have tasted salad in this form of exquisite taste before. So much was going on, and I loved every bite of it. I ordered the: greens and grain bowl, with roasted vegetables, super greens, black lentils, crazy feta, harissa, red pepper hummus, a lot of toppings. I went for the hot harissa vinaigrette and lemon herb tahini. Oh so good I also opted for extra falafel and extra white sweet potato. They include a very yummy pita, which stays soft for a long time also. Thoroughly enjoyed this and excellent portion size. The second meal I ordered was the kids meal for my toddler, which included: lentils (lots of them) bread and pita chips. It was ok - he didn't like it at all, so I ate it instead. Overall, great food, would like to try some other menu items now. Only qualm is the price of the salad was 17-18$ that's a bit steep to be honest. Do check this place out for Mediterranean flavours and a change up from your regular salads. We finally got around to trying CAVA last week when we were looking for something quick and affordable but weren't in the mood for our defaults of chipotle or viva chicken. CAVA kind of works like chipotle, with the assembly line style of serving, but with a Mediterranean spin. My main concern with this style of restaurant is that I'm still going to be hungry after and also that I'm being ripped off, as sometimes the portions can be a bit skimpy, in particular with regards to the protein, but with CAVA I wound up thoroughly stuffed to the gills. We used the online ordering function and with the toppings you can choose as many as you want and as much as you'd want of each, no extra charge except for avocado. The bowl option is very substantial, to sum it up as eloquently as my husband stated when he presented me with my bowl, "Wow, she thicc." It was indeed a borderline mixing-sized cardboard bowl which had to clock in somewhere around two or more pounds. I was really impressed with the flavor, freshness and overall quality of the food. It felt like a real meal, something I could've potentially made at home and despite being super full after eating the whole bowl, I didn't have that weighed down, greased out feeling. My husband woke up the next day and was already talking about going there again, so I guess he really loved it too. We also appreciate their stride towards sustainability with paper goods in place of plastic as much as possible. I can see us being frequent fliers at CAVA- real quality food, affordable price, portions to satisfy even the biggest appetite, it's a win! read more

Dining concept is the all too familiar walk up to counter and select from all the pre-prepared items. Essentially build your own meal from the ingredients. CAVA has become a go to for me. I didn't have the highest hopes after learning they share ownership with Zoe's Kitchen. I like Zoe's okay, but I always felt like the price far outweighed the quality. DO NOT LET YOUR PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS DETER YOU FROM CAVA. It's so fresh and delicious! I always get the rice bowl with saffron rice and pay a slight up charge for the harissa honey chicken. It has a great smoky heat, cut nicely with the honey flavor. The rice is always fluffy and perfect. This is basically a Chipotle/Moe's style restaurant, but in a Mediterranean fashion. I topped my bowl with marinated tomatoes, pita strips, feta, fire roasted corn and more. If you get a bowl, be sure to ask for a pita on the side! They have fresh juices for drinks as well, and this location has a great patio, plus plentiful indoor seating. I'll be back! Again and again!! read more
