Alright fine I moved on to the harissa honey chicken. At first it was sweet and spicy as the name suggest but now it's just same as the regular chicken with the extra price. I've only visited Cava twice but it has already won me over. While they do have chef curated bowls and pitas, I really enjoy the build your own concept. I chose a grains a greens bowl with chicken and roasted veggies, and of course a ton of other Mediterranean style add-ons. Their versatile options make it easy for those who have food restrictions too. It can get a little pricy the more you add, but to me its worth it for the fresh, healthy, large portions you get. read more

First time trying cava because even though they've been on my radar, I tend to lean towards the greasy, salty, and fatty foods when I want takeout. Lace convinced me to take a healthier route last night, and I'm rather glad and surprised with the results! Using the app for online ordering was intuitive, and they have a reward system as well to earn discounts on overall money spent ($8 for every $88). Like most efficient online ordering experiences, I was able to specify pickup time, and there's a grab and go section to bypass the line. My order was accurate and ready and frankly delicious! I toyed with the idea of getting a pita wrap, but I ended up getting a bowl. The app asks you if you want free pita on the side (I did). At one point, my bowl was up over $20 with double premium meats, but I managed to cut it down to $14 by ordering more sensibly. I didn't double meat but did double avocado. Another advantage to online ordering is impulse control! The restaurant itself looked clean and aesthetically pleasing, with an outside patio for eating as well. I was in and out in under 30 seconds! My bowl was packed to the hilt to the point the avocado was smushed by the lid, but it was still smushy yummy! In fact, all the ingredients I got tasted fresh and flavorful. I got pretty much every ingredient, including the harissa and red peppers, which added a nice kick! The falafel was a bit smaller than I expected, but the flavor was good. I also got a bottle of blueberry soda which was pleasant except I'm not the biggest fan of the cane sugar flavor in general. We also got the blonde and brownie, and both were surprisingly tasty but rather small for this fat guy! All in all, I find myself looking forward to having another cava bowl, and that's a good thing! If we skip the desserts and soda, we would probably be able to get out for under $30 for two packed bowls. Not a bad value! read more

I love it here! I always get a grain bowl. One of my favorite toppings is the eggplant spread because I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. I also really enjoy their falafel. Cava has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating so you don't have to worry about finding a place to sit. It's always very quick as well! read more

We ate here a couple of days after they opened. We were so pleased to see a Cava here in W-S, as we had eaten in and enjoyed ones in N Va and Richmond. We were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was great, as usual. If you've never been to a Cava, you have a set up similar to other fast casual places, in that you walk past stations where you tell the employees what you want. It is basically an upscale salad bar. You pick your greens, then add ons. Proteins include spicy lamb balls (my fave), falafel, beef meatballs, grilled chicken and such. Then, dips and spreads such as hummus, harissa and tzatziki. Roasted eggplant is great. You then pick toppings like pickled onions, peppers, avocado. Dressings at the end, and a nice choice of them. Great place to go for lunch if you're tired of the sandwich/burger routine, and healthy, too. We will return! read more

Usually when you go to a resturant near closing time, the quality is subpar and the employees can't wait to kick you out. NOT the case with Sonovia! I came in with my man for a pick up order about 20 minutes prior to closing. They were out of the meatballs, so she let him try two different protein options instead to choose his favorite. I ordered the date chicken bowl and was amazed at how full I was and even had to take the rest home. The place was very clean, I even had to use the women's bathroom and it was well kept. Practically you can make your own bowl with all kinds of Mediterranean goodness or if you don't have energy to do that pick a chef curated bowl. I usually order the chef curated Harissa Avocado honey chicken rice bowl with some of my favorite toppings. If you like heat, add the jalapeño sauce on top of everything. Does it count if work catered this for us? So many people have raved about their falafels so I was super excited to try it... and alas no falafels! Is it a shortage issue? A supply/chain issue? When it was catered to us, it came to us with various naan or pita sizes, different kinds of rices (a spiced turmeric rice and white rice), chicken, and various sauces, "Kraft feta", salads, vegetables (both fresh and cooked). Everything was very flavorful, colorful. The pita was very fresh and they gave us plenty for an office of 13. I personally did like the crazy feta, almost like a cheese dip with jalapeños. I do wish they had labels on take out containers cause we were all doing a blind taste test and relied on our coworkers former knowledge of Cava and their offerings. I was happy with it and it's a nice change from the usual Panera office lunch. I am excited to try it and go into the restaurant itself one day. read more

Used our tickets to Cava tonight and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We ordered the Lentil Avacado set bowl...and I made my own creation. LOL I was thrilled to see that they carry Right Rice (for anyone who's never heard of it, the appearance/texture mimics standard rice but it's made of chickpea and lentil flour so it's low carb/high protein and fiber), so I started with a mixture of right rice and lentils for my base. I did hummus, red pepper hummus, and tzatziki, then half roasted vegetables/half grilled meatballs for my protein (I could eat an entire bowl of just the meatballs). For toppings, I did everything except the fresno peppers (I wanted to at least taste everything) and then garlic dressing on top (be careful if you don't really like garlic...I can still taste it an hour later...lol). The staff was fast, friendly, someone was constantly walking around making sure tables were sanitized, and they have outdoor seating for those not wanting to eat inside. As with any of these kinds of bowls....when you first sit down you think "I'm going to be hungry in an hour". But an hour later, I'm positive I won't eat again until tomorrow! LOL So glad to have options without all the fat and carbs! read more
