Absolutely amazing! I downloaded yelp and made an account just to write a review. I live a couple hours north, up in Virginia but I was down in Winston-Salem and got recommended CAVA, and I love new restaurant recommendations so I had to try it. Tara made my order today and she was great! I told her I had never ate here before and to make me her favorite thing, it was absolutely delicious. It had some rice, lettuce, steak, those little crunchy things and some different vegetables. She even covered the cost of my food since it was my first time trying their restaurant. The staff is absolutely amazing and the restaurant has a nice vibe to it, I'll definitely be recommending it to everyone! And again, shout out to Tara, you're great!:) read more

The kitchen was able to process my order very quickly, likely a result of the low patronage, and so I didn't get to eat many of those chips before my plate showed up. The chunks of pork were tender enough to pull apart with my fork, and the green sauce surrounding them had a pleasant flavor and the right amount of potency for me. I hardly had enough of the salsa to accompany the meat though; a less stingy portion would have been appreciated. Rice and beans were about what you'd find at any Mexican restaurant in our area. The guac salad seemed very light on guacamole though, and the lettuce shreds were pale white. The menu has mentioned there would be avocado slices on the plate too, but no avocado was provided aside from that found within the tiny blob of guacamole. We were greeted walking in and seated in the same moment by the hostess. Our server stopped by promptly to get our beverage order. We started with an order of their house made potato chips but they never arrived? Our server dropped off dipping sauce but the chips never got to our table. I opted for the meatloaf with mashed and greenbeans. This was a hearty meal, a nice portion of well prepared meatloaf. The mash was old school rustic style, and good. The greenbeans again old school, like my grandma used to make and very good. The manager came by and apologized for the mishap on the chips and took them off our bill. I got two sides, fried zucchini and baked apples. I'm not lying, EVERY single thing was delicious! The baked apples had the perfect seasoning to them. The garlic spinach parmesan chicken had like an alfredo type sauce on top and the perfect compliment of a seasoned rice underneath. The chicken was incredibly tender. I would order this exact combo again in a heartbeat. The staff was incredibly friendly. As soon as you walk in you can tell the place is full of regulars. Die hard, never going to miss a night out, regulars. It felt like you were walking into a warm hug. Highly recommend!
