I'm writing this so management can do a better job! Normally CAVA is a really easy, pleasant experience but this particular night something was real off. They had a customer working toppings and register that is way too new and needed more support and every other employee just watched his bowls pile up without jumping in to help. I think there needs to be a better training on how to help during rush times. All other FOH staff members except the one guy on toppings + cashier avoided eye contact, were extremely slow at their station and acting as if there wasn't a line of 7 people waiting to be helped. Maybe there was an uber eats order? But still! Complete disregard for front of house. I waited for 15 minutes stand still line before I was helped. Then, while getting drinks people from BOH cut me in line for soda, avoided eye contact and honestly looked pissed off along with everyone else in FOH. I have grace for the whole "Gen Z" stare but at least have a good attitude, work at a decent pace, consider your other stations and say "thank you" or "have a nice day" instead of looking miserable. I repeat...this isn't an employee issue, they all looked young. Management needs to train them better on customer service skills and team work. read more

We've been to Cava so many times and I can't believe I've never reviewed it! :-O Prior to Cava, this place was called Zoe's, which we also loved for its Mediterranean options. While we were sad it closed, Cava was a strong replacement that definitely satisfied our cravings for Mediterranean fast casual. Some of our favorites are the Greek salad, the chick pita, and custom bowls with black beans as the base. The service here has been consistently good over the years. We're very lucky to have a few of these in Central Florida and will definitely keep going back. Pro tip: When asked for the dressings, get the yogurt dill, as it's very similar to tzatziki and has the lowest calories of the other dressings, that way you can do 3 different dips besides tzatziki. In brief: The food is good for the price. Details: When I walked in they were not busy at all, but I guess the employee out front wasn't interested in working. There was no ice in the machine and nearly every table needed wiping. There weren't any veggies cooked up so I had to wait on those, not a huge deal but if you're not busy with customers then find something else that needs doing. Foodwise, the veggies I waited for were overdone, which in my experience you gotta put in some effort to overcook Brussels sprouts. The tomato and cucumber relish was funky like there was a bad fruit that got cut up in it. The chicken, brown rice, lentils, and tzatziki were quite good. They charge for pita bread so skip the hummus, it won't add anything. They had some juices & unique sodas at the fountain and although I just got Mexican cola it was good, also. After they waited they were informed that they wouldn't be cooking any more steak. After I ordered they announced they were out of chicken. They ran out of potatoes and we had to wait 6-7 minutes. Service was terrible for the most part. Only one person on line (occasionally one at register but she got big breaks because line was so slow. People standing in line for 15-20 minutes. This is one of the worst run stores I've ever encountered. The food is good but they're often out of main ingredients. We never leave with our take out bag without checking it. Every time items are missing. No dressing, missing, pita crisps. Missing free pita. When we mention it, the employees say nothing and just the missing items in the bag. You have a good product. The pics do not do it justice but this Spicy lamb pita was so darn good!
