False advertising + TwoJay's down the street = a hard pass. We won't be back. Ordered the pastrami sandwich based on their ad. In their ad it looked delicious, with thin-sliced meat stacked high on beautiful marble rye bread. Our pastrami sandwich didn't remotely resemble a true NY deli style thin-sliced hot pastrami sandwich - like we enjoy at TwoJay's a few blocks west. Instead we got maybe 3 tough, thick grisly pieces of some mystery meat that tasted nothing like real pastrami. It was served on thin slices of rock hard stale bread. The flavor was as bad as it was tough to chew. It was a terrible sandwich that cost us almost $20 Hey Jason: don't rip your customers off and especially don't treat them like idiots. Pictures of food you publish in your ad should at least somewhat resemble the final product you deliver. Not here - not even close. The service was good. The folks working here were very pleasant. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but then again where isn't it expensive these days, right? I ordered the "Reuben the Great," managers special. Why haven't I come to this location before?!?! Wow! The best service, the food was even fresher, and the tables are clean. Nice vibes and other staff that we don't interact with but we observed with others, were pretty great. I was so excited to find a salad bar place, but then so disappointed when I tried it. I ordered "grilled chicken" for the salad, which was flavorless, dry, and microwaved. Nothing at all grilled about it. The salad greens were fresh, however the salad bar selection was slim. I tried three different salad dressings, all of them were terrible. I ordered a kids pizza for my kid, it was also terrible. The crust was doughy like cheap gas station pizza. I spent $26 for a salad bar and a kid's meal and we left hungry. I won't be back here. I order from this restaurant 3 to 4 times a week as I live right around the corner from it and they always forget an item and I try to go through the drive-thru to make it easier and I always end up having to get out of my car and go inside because they hand me a bag with missing items and then they don't ever come back to the drive-thru window and then I'm forced to go inside to get whatever missing item it is and it happens literally consistently every single time I expected at this point I expect them to forget an item it's just a gamble of which item it will be . I should have gone to Taco Bell. This experience was disappointing. I ordered the chicken taco wrap, and it was clear right away that the chicken wasn't properly stored--it tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for too long. Jason's deli is my go to Sandwich spot in Lake Mary. It is always delicious, they make my order correctly, and it comes out quickly. I've used both the in restaurant and drive-through services and they were both great service. I would definitely recommend this establishment for anyone looking for a yummy sandwich. My wife and I visited Jason's Deli and enjoyed the food and service. We both had the half sandwich and a trip to the salad bar. First the sandwiches were great. If we had any issues the potato chips were broken up but besides that everything was great. The salad bar was clean and well stocked with fresh ingredients. Both of us made a tasty salad and my wife actually got a to go box and ate her salad later for dinner. Got it with the side of blue corn chips and salsa, which were tasty and perfect amount so I didn't run out of one before the other. Chilly weather out so we decided some soup would be great. We've never been here, so thought we'd give it a try. They have a good sized menu, but every question I asked the lady behind the counter had no clue. They were friendly, but that's about it. My daughter had macaroni and cheese. It was like the box kind you can get at the supermarket. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. Well the sandwich tasted like something I would make at home. Blah! Just what hot humid central Florida ordered for this Los Angeles girl who is mostly vegan! After suffering through the miniscule selections at our hotel, I was on the search for food that had great nutritional value. Yelp suggested Jason's deli and it was dead on. Ordered the guacamole bowl with quinoa. The serving size was sufficient and the waitstaff was helpful. The cashier walked us through the ordering process as well. One recommendation, afd red chili pepper flakes to your offering of condiments. We also noticed they offered a FULL salad bar with several options of greens. Decent food and friendly staff. The store is pretty clean and you'll always get good service here. I love their food, the taste is good, there's good amount of it and I'm always satisfied and full. The best thing is that it's somewhat healthy ? I usually order the half salmonwich with the managers special so it comes with two sides. My usual sides are steamed vegetables and fruit cup. But today I got the lobster soup instead. I love my veggies well done but today the carrots were a bit undercooked. That's the only complaint I got. The salmonwich is always good, the size of the salmon itself makes up for the whole meal. The soup only had one tiny piece of lobster in it but I wasn't expecting much. There was a strong flavor of cooking wine ( or maybe something else ?) But I loved it. Sometimes I upgrade my order and get a trip to the salad bar. But that's usually too much food for me. I haven't been to a Jason's Deli since before the pandemic, but I always loved going for their salad bar for lunch or dinner. We stopped by one night last week for a quick dinner, and I ordered the salad bar. The salad bar is one-trip only now (temporarily?) because of the pandemic. That's perfectly fine with me because I've always loaded up on the first go-around and rarely went back for more. They give you plastic gloves to wear now, too. The irony is that (other than me) nobody was wearing a face mask in the restaurant -- employees or customers. I'm not sure they understand how virus transmission works. Incredibly, this is my first dine-in experience at Jason's, having always just done mass or individual take-outs. Previously, the closest from work was 7 miles away, but even after the Lake Mary location opened, all I'd done was a couple of pick-ups. So in a way, this was a first-time experience. And what an experience it was. We had visitors from out-of-town. When our guests suggested 'soup and sandwich' for lunch after church last Sunday, I thought of Jason's right away (maybe subliminally reminded by the name of one of our visitors, my wife's niece's husband). They were pretty busy at 1300 hours on a Sunday afternoon - smart move securing a table for 6 while others are taking care of ordering. In case you didn't know, most of what you'll find in Jason's is organic. Even their bottle drinks are great, and not pricey considering that fountain pop is $2. My wife went with my recommendation, which is almost what I order ALL the time when I do the take out: the wild salmonwich, which is a nice piece of 3.5-4 oz. sockeye between bread of your choice - you get change from $9. What a deal! The salad version for just under $10 is a great option as well. Everyone praised their food choice. I opted for the salad bar; itt had great variety, but what was most remarkable was that bowl of field greens. If that is not THE most impeccably impossibly fresh bowl of salad I've laid eyes on, I need a white cane. You know how usually it's soggy or wilted because the leaves are so delicate? There was not a single leaf out of place in that bowl. I was just blown away! They also have a little station where you can get different toppings even if you are not getting the salad bar: croutons, condiments, chopped nuts, even whole mixed nuts. So those who go for the salad bar, but worried about protein, need not worry. You can add a protein like chicken for a small extra charge, but quite frankly, the tub of true bacon bits, all the legumes, the peas - there's enough protein here to afflict the unsuspecting with instant gout. The coup de grace (as far as one's calorie-counting is concerned) is a little station not so hidden in the back; folks, can you say 'free ice cream'? There's vanilla and chocolate soft serve, or a swirl of the two, in a baby cone or a baby dish, JUST enough to top off a perfect lunch. The sad thing is, I think my take-out days at Jason's are over. There will be no more indulging in that unsavory habit, of smudging my keyboard with fingers stained from the juices of a wild salmonwich. Damn - I'm getting hungry writing this review! read more

I didn't go in, but she ran in and ordered their Strawberry Shortcake (as seen in pictures). She thought the service was great. Her cake was beautifully put together and tasted very good! We love Jason's Deli, but haven't ever been to this location. We arrived a little after 1 pm on a Sunday and I expected the "church" crowd to have already been through. The layout isn't well thought out as we could barely fit in the door due to the line. Normally a big plus for JD's is not having to wait for a table, but in this case it was a 30 min ordeal. The nice thing is they have free ice cream cones, so I got one for my wife (she was a queen and waited in line), while I ate mine at a table I scoped out for us. Awesome salad bar, as always.
