Horrible. The bartenders are sleez bags who will rip you off! I was charged over $20 for two absolut cocktails!! After asking around I found out that the regular price would have been $7 per drink. I am a huge fan of drinking outside, especially near water so because of that I really do enjoy going to River Deck on occasion. The specials are pretty good sometimes and if not there are plenty of cheap beers you can indulge in if you don't feel like shelling out the cash for mixed drinks. This is also the last stop for my school's bar crawl at the end of a long 5th year so I've had some crazy nights there with a bunch of my friends. I've gone a bunch of other times though and the crowd usually isn't my scene. There are plenty of dudes on the prowl for chicks constantly and the last time I was there it had literally been 2 minutes when 3 guys flanked the girls I was with and attempted to be smooth. The dance floor is alright, the music is what you would expect from a place like this but once the booze starts flowing it isn't too hard to enjoy. There are plenty of bars to grab drinks at too so getting served is never difficult. I haven't had any of the food so I can't speak for that. We decided to check this place out after work for dinner and drinks. The idea of sitting by the water after a long day was enticing. I didn't expect much, but I was completely underwhelmed so I will start from beginning to end. The bouncer was nice and pleasant. He greeted us and checked our ID's. When leaving, he addressed us again. First stop, the bathrooms. Wow, the bathrooms...extremely dirty. Most stalls didn't even lock. Toilet paper all over. We went in the middle of the week but you would think this was a late night weekend (hmmm...when were the bathrooms cleaned last?). The bar area was hot and stuffy. No fans going. Not sure why, because the breeze was blocked by the bar with a clear tarp that runs along it. That's fine, I wanted the view anyway. So we sit outside on the patio area. Ironically, in the open they have large velocity fans running. We notice when we sit down there are swarms of gnats everywhere. Ugh...not appealing since we are ordering food. Maybe that's why they leave fans running on the patio (to keep them away? Idk). The best part...it was a nice view! That did not disappoint and eased my mind a little. So we sit down and wait for the waitress. The waitress wasn't that attentive, the food was below average. The waitress didn't know if there were any specials (food or drinks) and she never asked if we wanted a refill (ordered water and a drink). She didn't bring silverware with our food, we had to ask. French fries were so undercooked they were still hard (we could visibly tell they weren't cooked enough but never send food back). Cheesesteak was dry. BLT wrap just wasn't well made, the bacon was very overcooked. The wings were pretty good and flavored well. I honestly wouldn't recommend this place, which is disappointing. I really wanted to like it. I thought we were going to have a chill night, ordering drinks and grabbing something to eat while watching the sunset. I expected music. I expected an after work crowd. I expected decent bar food and drinks. Maybe it is better on a late weekend night but I probably won't be back to try it out. read more

Don't go here. It was the worst dining experience I've ever had. We were the only people in the restaurant and It took over an hour to make simple bar food(cheese steaks, quesadillas, nachos, chicken tenders etc). It was 25 min between the time the first person and the last person at our table received their meals. Some of the food was cold, most of us thought it tasted pretty poorly. They didn't have condiments like ranch for wings or marinara for mozzarella sticks. When it came time to pay we were charged for food we ordered but never received and buckets of beer that we didn't order or receive. They staff was mostly discourteous and flat out ignored us once the restaurant got busier. It took 45 minutes to pay. For my 21st birthday I wanted to out exactly at 12. The first place I went was to the sugar house casino, I lost a dollar and left right out. lol. My friend and I decided to walk as close as we could to south st to try to get to Fat Tuesday's before catching a cab. While we were walking we came across the River Deck which looked like fun. It was only 5 dollars to get in so we gave it a try. It was a blast!!!! I cant wait to return. The music was good. This place is a complete joke. Two girl's were fighting outside on the stage so I jumped up on stage to break up the fight and I got thrown out... I asked why and they said "no guys on stage." The girls didn't even get thrown out, this one girl threw a chick down by her hair. Where to start? After being in the city with a friend, who had gotten pastries for later, and had them wrapped and bagged, the man at the door made her throw them away, or we weren't allowed to enter. So, we threw them away after reassuring him that we didn't plan to eat them there, and insisting that we put them in our purse, however, the trashcan was the only place they were allowed. Next, the music was playing from a radio, so about 80% of my night was spent listening to commercials, and this was a friday evening, between 6-8. The one saving grace was trhe calamari, which unfortunately, will probably cause me to come back, unless by some unbelievably lucky chance they allow for pick-up. Then, the salad came, which was basically just dressing soup with some lettuce and salmon pieces in there. PLEASE, if you get the salad, ask for the dressing on the side. As for the waittress, she was nice, but took forever to come to our table, and dragged out the bill process for about 25 minutes. read more

I have never been more physically violated in my life - I never even made it inside...they do a very intense bag check and pat down to enter - I totally get it and am on the side of safety...BUT I have a large chest the female bouncer violently squeezed and prodded my breasts (as least 4 times she fully squeezed my chest) she also rubbed my vagina during the pat down. I had ZERO warning that this was going to occur - even the TSA explains everything and says "I am going to gently go near a sensitive part now." I generally do not mind being touched and it takes A LOT to offend me/make me feel uncomfortable. We were in town for my friend's 30th birthday from NY - a group of 8 married couples (most with kids) - we were not drunk or rowdy at all when entering the bar - it was 11:00 pm and we had NO drugs or weapons on us at all. I went to the Riverdeck last Saturday night with a couple of friends. There was a $10 cover to get in, which is a little higher than most but that was fine. It was a fun place in the beginning, but super crowded and didn't seem to have the best crowd. I had my phone with me all night in my purse and zipped up, however I looked down at one point and realized my purse was open but I didn't think much of it and just closed it back up. 15 mins later I check my purse and my phone is missing, I was positive I took it out of the bathroom with me because I had texted someone after when I left and put it back in my purse. Since it was so crowded in there, someone could have easily "bumped into me" to unzip my purse and I wouldn't have thought anything of it. It rang the first couple of times we called it and then went right to voicemail so someone turned it off and I had to spend $500 on a new phone. A couple days later I was talking with friends at a work event about how my phone got stolen and found out that someone else was with a group of about 15 people and 2 of their phones got stolen, purses unzipped and all, and turns out they were also at Cavs the same night I was when that happened. I will not be returning because as it was a fun bar, it was nothing exceptional definitely not worth dealing with all the hassle. Considering multiple people's phones were stolen that night (there was a list of people who lost their phone at the end of the night with over 10 names, only 6 were found), it is either not the best crowd at this bar or their security needs to be upped by a lot. Very disappointed especially since it was my first, and now only, time going there. If you do end up going there, be on the lookout because it seems this is a somewhat common occurrence there. read more

The bartenders at this bar had no respect for the customer. First time I came to the bar they accused me of spilling a beer on someone and refused to serve me. I went here last Saturday for a 21st birthday and pretty much got what I expected. Seeing as it was a birthday event, cover was $25.00, but I was able to drink as much as I wanted from 10-1am as long as I didn't lose my cup. That being said, I do remember other drinks being relatively expensive, so if you are going just to go, I recommend you bring a decent wad of cash and stay at one of the 6 bars rather than jumping back and forth and tipping differently at each bar. The setup of the deck is pretty interesting. You walk through the front and see that there is a hallway with bathrooms and then right after that is the first "pavilion bar" where it is kind of inside, but no one is really in there. You then have the option of going into 2 different paths on the main deck where all of the action is. My favorite of the 6 bars was the one directly behind the dance floor because it had the most energetic crowd. The music is very interesting (primarily pop-radio music i.e. Pitbull with scattered mainstream house i.e. Avicii). It is a great place to go if you are between ages of 21 and 24, but 25 might be pushing it a little and 26 is too old. Either way, if you don't feel like going to the beach, but want to be outside, then this is the place to go. Interestingly, they do not allow you to wear white T-shirts or V-Necks so make sure you don't do that. Agreed with the other reviews that the contests on stage are a bit strange and sort of take away from the legitimacy of the dance-floor. Either way, it is a fun outdoor bar with a great background of the bridge. I would go here again for another party, but not too sure if I would go here just for drinks. read more

This was the worst dining experience of our lives. We came with a group of 10 on a Sunday afternoon around 1:00 for lunch. Menu had 10 options - I got the quesadilla, others got various bar snacks. We were the only people on the entire deck at this point. Still took 40 minutes to get our food, and it didn't all come out at once in fact some of it never came out (but we were still charged for it). They didn't even have ranch dressing (?) I noticed a hair in my quesadilla, which isn't a big deal until I noticed 5 more similar hairs in it. Despite being the only people out there, service was awful and our waiter rarely came around. Some dishes came out 45 minutes after others despite all being ordered at the same time. When the check came we asked the waiter to split it and he got angry at us, so we did it by hand on a separate piece of paper to make it easy. He came back with the 6~ separate checks and we noticed that we were charged for some dishes we ordered that never came out, were charged for 3 beer buckets when we only got 1, and some other issues. Friend went to the bar to have it straightened out, and it took no less than 1 hour of him speaking to various bartenders and managers to get it squared away. This was my first time in 30 years of life that I left a $0 tip. Would not recommend unless you are on the verge of dying of starvation. read more

They are extremely flirty to the point were they will hold up the line to try and mess with you. If you're going out with a large group, I recommend this place. Sign up for the open bar ahead of time.. You pay $20 at the door and get beer and well drinks in a cup for three hours. Don't lost your cup though or you're beat. It is a good deal. Crowd is mostly Jersey people though, I have yet to go there and meet someone who is not from South Jersey. The worst customer service. I left a personal belonging there so I left my number for the manager could give me a call back. I first did not ever get a call back. When I finally did get in touch with him, I was told I could not get it back and everything is disposed at the end of the night. You would think they would at least have a lost and found. Our Friday night out at river deck was enjoyable until a specific bartender was being rude and very unprofessional. Listen, I know it's a bar tending job, but damn don't act like you are so damn miserable to serve people drinks when this is the job you signed up for... There was one girl with a gap in her teeth that was purposefully skipping people at the bar waiting to be served. She was entirely too focused on ~trying~ to be cute that she lost actual business for river deck and tips for herself by being petty and not serving us. The bartender tending to the other half of the bar was moving through patrons quickly and was very efficient at getting customers their drinks while she would only serve mostly male patrons and skipping over people that had been waiting at the bar. She was also putting barely any alcohol in the mixed drinks and was clearly trying to scam customers that she was serving so be on the lookout for that . She then proceeded to call security on my friend and myself, simply for asking her to serve us after we had been waiting at the bar for awhile and she was purposely ignoring us. SHE CALLED SECURITY ON US FOR ASKING HER TO DO HER JOB. Obviously nothing happened because we did not do anything other than ask the bartender for our drinks. Lol this bartender is an absolute joke and you should not waste your time at this establishment if this is the type of people they employ. really fun place - always brings out a good crowd, especially on a nice night. on the water which is nice and has a good view of the bridge. staff is great - left my purse there by accident, called kelly and she found it within minutes - all the cash, cards, etc was still there! abby was also a big help and she had fantastic blue shots the night before (hence why the purse was left)! they even gave me guest passes to get in later that night, no cover! highly recommend this to anyone! read more

I came here on a Saturday night and paid for the $25 open bar. mixed drinks weren't good at all so I had beer. The view was pretty awesome over the river and near the bridge, but it was so crowded, and the people there were so nasty I ended up calling and getting a ride home 2 hours in. The music was okay, roxxy on Delaware Ave in my opinion is has better music. But I honestly felt like I was at an underage house party. I get it's some people's scene but I just wasn't feelin it. I had beer split all over my dress 3 times. I ended up just standing waiting to walk by, the guys there just like grabbing on girls and grinding on them. I don't know, I feel like im better than that. Maybe its because I've been in a long relationship and im just not about the single life, but I thought the place kinda sucked.
