We stopped here for lunch and immediately loved the funky vibe in a historic building. The food was delicious - my husband liked his pork belly sandwich + salad, and my kids deemed the Mac'n' cheese the best they've ever had (it was pretty frickin' delicious). Unfortunately not much in the way of protein options for vegetarians - though they do have some veggie friendly appetizers and salads. I opted for a salmon burger which was pretty decent (just not a big fish eater). The service was fantastic and the beer was cold and tasty, all in all a great stop! Shout out to Sally our server! She was great!

My husband and I had a solid dinner at Glory recently. It wasn't too packed around 8pm, but there were a few people at the bar. We ended up ordering and sharing a couple sandwiches. They were good, though the Porchetta sandwich could have used a bit more meat on it. We subbed in mac and cheese as a side and that was delicious, so would definitely recommend that!

The spicy chicken sandwich really did hit! Loved the renovated-yet-authentically-historic vibes. Please go ahead and try the the F.O.S... somewhere along the trajectory of human history, the art of the French onion crouton had died, but it is resurrected here at Glory. Glory really has a lot going for it -- namely it offers the unison of a great location (a quaint setting in an authentically-Philadelphian neighborhood) + excellent food for the price. If the Penn's Landing area picks back up with all of the new renovations, it Old City we get a breath of fresh life. Until then, Glory is just one of its under-appreciated secrets.

Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen is a must if you're in the Independence Park area of Philly! My wife and I visited while we were there and loved it! They aren't lying when they say that they have an extensive beer menu! I had a Dancing Gnome Kolsch which was very good and then a Corsendork Christmas Ale which was fantastic! I normally don't like spiced beer, but this one was perfect! My wife and I shared the cheese and salumi plate which was so delicious! My only re is not getting the large! My wife had the crispy chicken sandwich which was really good. The crust was crunchy and the chicken was tender and juicy. I had the porchetta sandwich which was recommended by our waiter and was SO DELICIOUS! It is a must! At first my wife was concerned about the limited menu. They may not have an extensive menu but what they do, they do right! Our waiter was really great and very welcoming, especially as we were from out of town. The place has a rustic vibe which fits with its old town location. We loved it! If we ever find ourselves back in Philly, we will definitely visit Glory again!

Small cheese and salumi board with a half carafe of wine!

My coworkers and I decided to go to Glory after an enthusiastic recommendation from a friend. As soon as we walked in, we immediately liked the vibe and thought this was a great recommendation. The service was second to none. Attentive, but not overbearing, and our glasses were never empty (water and wine). The food portions were generous, but not too much. My friends ordered salads and I ordered the cheese and salumi board. The small one was perfect for how hungry I was and the half carafe of wine was the perfect amount. All in all we really enjoyed our time at Glory and I will definitely be back when I'm back in Philly.

Here for a private event. Service food and atmosphere were all excellent. Great bar tending, no such thing as "no we can't make thst". Not sure about the every day downstairs, but the upstairs event space was a blast. Yeah, I pretty much like this place .

The restaurant is casual and does not require reservations. I enjoyed the atmosphere because it was lively and had options to sit at the bar or get a table. The service was standard, was not too busy on a weeknight. The food looked promising from the menu's descriptions, but did not stand out as far as taste. I would only dine here again if it was convenient, but there are so many other tastier options in Philly.

Food -Wasn't too good.I didn't take my food with me.I left it Service - AMAZING/Nice people ,Even tho the food wasn't good I still tipped Ambiance -clean & loud Mac and cheese didn't have any flavor too it and the chili was bland Needs more love and seasoning.

Glory Beer, Bar & Kitchen's very own Saison. On draft & most refreshing. So nice the beer menu lists pour size & ABV.

Friendly and attentive service, lengthy beer list, tasty food. What more does one want?!? Wings were a fine starter and the Reuben was great. Thick-cut pastrami, not too much kraut & thousand island dressing & crispy bread for a satisfying crunch. The house saison was a winner & Ellen greatly enjoyed a can of Coastal Sunshine Smoothie Sour Ale. All-in-all, we'd come back.

Friendly staff offering good service. Sat outside on the Piccini benches in the street. Felt a little strange when the buses would drive by and you could just reach out and touch them. Food was good. My crispy chicken sandwich that I added bacon to was very good. Nice flavor combination and the thick well done bacon just made it better. Everyone else also reported enjoying their meals. The burgers came out cooked as requested. The octopus was tasty. The fries could have been a bit more cooked. Overall a nice place to have lunch and drinks in the city.

This place is the perfect vibe for a delicious meal. We walked in and were seated immediately. Ordering the Octupus as an appetizer, it can out within 5 minutes. The beer was amazing, I had never had better. Finally, the food came out as swiftly as the appetizers. For 4 of us, the meal was AMAZING, and we all gobbled it up!!! This is 100% a place that we would go to, maybe just for a quick beer and great meal!!

Started off with the bartender giving me the stink eye and some lip about asking to sample their many micro-brews - I asked for one sample, it wasn't very good. The bartender's negative attitude made me uncomfortable asking for a second sample. Despite my trepidation and because they had as many as 19 different beers on tap, I asked for a second sample, which caused the bartender to frown at me and 'cut me off at 2.' I responded as positively as I could, accepted the second sample which I also did not enjoy, and took a random shot at a pint of a third beer which also wasn't great. Food was meh. As I now see has been noted in another review, the fried pickles had too much dough and way, way too much grease in them, which likely was the cause of me visiting the toilet a bunch in the morning. The pretzel was a hot pretzel, I don't agree with their choice of mustard as whole grain mustard can be difficult to spread on a hot pretzel but hey that's me. I understand that on Saturday nights people like to cut loose, but no one seemed to ask the women literally screaming with laughter to keep it down at the party in the corner, so this place gets low marks for very loud customers. I mean really there has to be a line somewhere and this was over it. The other bartender was almost apologetically polite when I asked for the check, kind of a good-cop/bad-cop thing going on there. If I wanted that experience I'd get arrested not visit a local bar. You only have one chance at a first impression.
