Same day free delivery was great. $70 dollars for 2 ounces of paddlefish caviar is not cheap, but the quality was excellent.

Everything is frozen and there are really good deals for different cuts of meat, even specialty meat like Japanese wagyu beef. They also have lots of prepared frozen meals that would be very convenient for a busy family. The staff was friendly and there is ample free parking.

While shopping a female worker with pink glasses quite literally stared and followed us, in a really unsubtle way, the entire time. SO much so that my mom eventually asked if she needed something! Mind you, this store is SMALL. At one point my sister and I were standing over by the seafood discussing what we should get. She left the register and came and stood right in front of us a few feet away. While my sister was making her selection I just stood there and made direct eye contact with her to make her just as uncomfortable as she was making me. She eventually turned and walked away. Honestly it was WEIRD. So weird a part of me wanted to leave without my food because why would I buy things from a place where the staff is making me feel like I shouldn't be there or I'm a threat ? Mind you I'm carrying a tiny Coach purse, like did she think I was gonna try to shove the $200 + worth of food we purchased in there?! ‍ I've never shopped here and been creeped out by staff. We paid for our things and left. The encounter Left a really bad taste in my mouth but the steak was absolutely phenomenal.

Parking can be difficult on weekends or busy as we almost didn't find any. SERVICE and ENVIRONMENT: service was great as you order at the counter and sit down with your number. Plenty of seating outside, not much space inside. It can get crowded during weekends forsure and line sometimes was out of the door. Very beachy, wood, and white interior all the seating were clean and the condiments, complimentary water, and sauces were available. FOOD: lots of different options for seafood meals, you can do tacos, burritos, plates, they have fresh poki. Most things are going to run you $15-23$ sometimes more. The burrito's were ok not much flavor and wish there were more fish. Everything tasted normal, however, you HAVE to get the calamari fries. we tried them and then got another one. Perfectly seasoned, light breading and coat on the outside, and the rest is all seas food meat! The sauce with it was incredible. Best food here hands down!

I came in at 745 and ordered clam chowder and 2 tacos. I checked in at 20 minutes and the blond that took my order sounded like she wanted to help me but a manager? with red/brown hair said "that's our wait time" and proceeded to talk to the blonde about her piercings. I inquired again at 25 minutes because my order wasn't on the screen. They asked the kitchen guys who had no idea about my order. By that point I asked to cancel my fish tacos order and might as well cancel the soup because it was now cold. No one tried to save the customer relationship. It was "void" and oh-- I can't print you a receipt. Now I have to monitor my credit card charges to see if it falls off because I have no evidence that the tip was refunded. Horrible customer service.

Location is on El Toro Rd in Mission Viejo. Lots of parking on a Sunday late morning. The weekend samples lady has such a delightful personality and was announcing "sample sample!" to nearby customers. I sampled one lumpia and longanisa. Delish! My hubby also sampled a lumpia but chose tocino instead. We chit chatted w/her for a few minutes and she is actually retired from decades of working in public service. IPS is fortunate to have her on the weekends As for IPS, it is organized and clean. Doesn't have the megamarket vibe like their competitor. There is also a restaurant inside, PhilHouse and they also have a little bakery. Pleasant experience at Island Pacific!

When you enter, you will see quite a few people mingling around the Cafe area and they're probably people that visit more than once a week. Ask the staff for recommendations most of them are quite friendly. This is the only place in town that we can find Thai Basil for some of the dishes. We like to prepare at home, which is how we first discovered it. In the back you'll find an amazing amount of fresh sea food and other meats. You will especially find several types of whole fish and prawns, even some quite large ones. You can also get fresh squid to make calamari. The prices are reasonable and butchers will help either fry the food for you filet it so you only take home what you want.

Surprised this was better than Seafood City... much thicker, meatier, and also tender and moist. LA, National/Daly City level quality imo.

They also had shrimps and red snappers available but no sea urchins. Their butchers ask if you'd like your fish cleaned and will skin them there and bag it up. Most people brought their own pails or ice coolers to hold them in. After paying for your seafood (paid cash), be sure to stop by the lovely Seaside Donuts right across for a warm croissant and sweet treat or go fishing at the beautiful pier!
