    their specialty latte
    Stefanie A.

underrated coffee shop in pomona, i've been coming here since thirsty girl has been closed & they have 15% off for students :) DRINK: i liked their specialty latte, but it is a bit sweet so adjust to your liking. i like that it is already an oatmilk latte so i don't have to pay the extra $ for nondairy milk SERVICE: staff has been really kind and friendly AMBIANCE: can be kind of loud in there but that's pretty typical of a coffee house. first time i came there were some people, second time i came it was empty, so i'd expect plenty of seating

First of all, a huge thank you to the amazing staff--especially Omar behind the counter. He guided me through the menu and recommended an arepa with jalapeños. I had never tried that combination before, and it was absolutely perfect--especially since I love spicy food! To go with it, I ordered their Colombian-style cold brew, also known as Avena. Refreshing, smooth, and delicious--perfect for this summer heat. Cavice is a gem in Pomona. The service is warm, the food is authentic, and the drinks are on point. Highly recommend stopping by if you want a true taste of Colombia with a creative twist.

Found this place a week ago and I've been there twice! They have a seasonal item right now which is a coconut caramel latte! Let me tell you, that is my favorite combination and it does not disappoint! The staff is always in a great mood and it's a great place to hang out. Looking forward to more visits!

Nice coffee spot in Downtown Pomona. Music is nice and the vibe is overall chill. I love the emerald green, it gives off a nice feel. Service is great and fast.

We came here as a family of 6 for father's day after realizing the place nearby that we'd initially came for wasn't open that day. A blessing in disguise for sure because this place exceeded my expectations. I was mentally exhausted that day from rounding up family and couldn't even muster up the braincells it would take me to order. I went with the barista's recommendation (the Avena latte) and loved the boldness of the coffee and the subtle notes of the cinnamon and nutmeg. A lot of coffee places I've been to make their drinks heavy on those spices in a way that overwhelms the coffee taste. The beauty of going with a group is everyone getting different things and getting to taste a wide variety of the menu. Im not a matcha drinker, but i surprisingly didnt hate the matcha drink my mom got. It didnt scream of bitter grass like other matchas ive tried before. The smoothies were so good i almost regretted getting coffee. But its okay it just gives me reason to go back more. The price was great. 6 large drinks (2 smoothies, one matcha and 3 coffees), 6 arepas (3 pepperoni and cheese the other 3 just cheese) plus a tip set me back 95. I didnt think we'd be eating anything half substantial at all when we opted to come to a coffee place, but the arepas slightly sweet and slightly savory goodness that they were actually filled us up more than I was expecting. The place was fairly quiet for how filled it was with great lighting. It would be a great place to study. I came back again today (7/3/25) with just my dad stressed, with a fat stack of paperwork. It was today's experience that made me make a mental note to sit down and write a detailed review somthing i definitely need to get better at doing especially if itll help out a smaller business. Despite my last visit being with my family over two weeks ago the same barista was there today and they remembered us. I went with their recommendation again and let them decide my fate, my only parameters being something coffee and it being large. I ended up with an orange creamsicle inspired coffee off the summer menu. Just like the Avena this cup was heavier on the coffee taste and subtle on the other notes that make it unique from other items. Another great recommendation. Will definitely be coming back.

The lady with dyed hair was very nice. The iced matcha latte with oatmilk and agave is a 10/10! Avena latte is also 9/10! Perfect place to study and relax with friends

Tried their coffee for the first time, and so far I'm impressed. This coffee shop is new, and has a lot of appealing drinks to explore. The price seems appropriate, however based on what we experienced different sizes are not offered, and milk substitutions are charged. Bummer. Staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is quiet. The decor is pretty simple but inviting. Our drinks were delicious. Can't wait to try out more of their menu.

Although Cavice Company was not open my first times seeing them, they have finally opened and it was worth the wait! When I came into Cavice, the whole vibe of the place was so welcoming. They have a nice interior and an outdoor patio that's open to customers. The baristas are very kind and you really can have a conversation with them. I ordered a Strawberry Matcha, which was possibly the best Strawberry Matcha I've ever had, and a Cheese Danish which was sweet and quite delicious. Overall, I loved my experience at Cavice and I'm excited to see what they have in store for the future.

On a sparsely traveled side street that separates the Target parking lot from the 91 freeway, is an attraction that will have you slamming on your brakes and craning your neck to see what the fuss is all about. The day we came, a Sunday afternoon, there were about 10 different, brightly colored trucks lined up along the curb, lights flashing, music blaring, and lines starting to form. You can park your car in the adjacent parking lot, there's plenty of room! Yes, this a very successful food truck according to Yelp. And by far the most patronized truck I saw that day. Inside the tiny galley kitchen are 4 hustling adults, including sweet Isabelle, the food ambassador of a husband and wife duo. I loved her enthusiasm and bright smile. At this point, I want to mention that Columbian taste buds are more finicky than many of their Central and South American brothers. So do not expect hot chile anything. Their palates prefer milder, not spicy foods, even though one of the sauces served with the empanadas was a garlicky, bright, herbal, oily sauce, not unlike the Argentinian chimichurri sauce. They call it aji (ah hē). I find it very addictive. Bandera Paisa - this is a combo plate that features a fat, Columbian chorizo (a non spicy sausage), a pile of moist shredded beef, a large strip of pork belly, white rice, Columbian red beans, a fried egg, avocado, and several pieces of fried sweet plantain. There is also one Cheese Arepa included. This dish can easily be shared by two and is a phenomenal deal and interesting taste adventure. Beef Arepa. This is basically a fried masa pocket substantially filled with their signature shredded beef, then topped with guacamole and white cheese. This is very similar to their beef empanadas, so I would encourage ordering one or the other, not both. It's big. Beef Empanadas (3). This is not your usual empanada. The generous beef filling is made from their sensational slow-cooked, flavorful shredded beef with a hint of corn and vegetables. The pastry is actually made of a coarse grained masa, formed into the traditional moon-shape, then deep-fried. It is heavier and far more filling than what I am accustomed to, but it has a chewy, coarse textured mouth appeal and rich flavor. One order is 3 empanadas. They offer an interesting variety of drinks, the most notable being their iced Columbian coffee (intensely rich, creamy, and sweetened) and a Passion Fruit Slushy that is an exotic fruity perfection. Both are pre-made and served out of a dispenser. Columbiana soda, plus other sodas and juices, are available in bottles and cans. The only downside is the seating. A few wooden tv trays and canvas folding chairs are set up on the uneven dirt adjacent to the sidewalk. It appears that using the sidewalk is off limits for seating. I loved their cute, vibrant Cuban music, but oftentimes it became overwhelming as it competed with another truck's equally loud Mexican music right next to them. That, and the seating, effectively convinced me that eating my food elsewhere was probably a better idea, even though sweet Isabelle was frequently checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our bill was really reasonable, considering the amount of food we had. It was approx. $42, and there was plenty to bring home for another day.

The corn dough for these empanadas makes it extra tasty for me. Their arepas are amazing and I'm sure their hearty bandeja paisa is just as scrumptious. Delicious Taste of Colombia in Rialto - La Paisita is a Gem!…read more I'm so excited that La Paisita just opened in the Rialto area because it is absolutely AMAZING. I ordered the bandeja paisa, arepa con queso, and empanadas de carne, and every single dish was incredibly delicious. The bandeja paisa was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented -- flavorful meats, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. You can tell everything is made with care and authenticity. The arepa con queso was warm, soft, and packed with cheesy goodness. And the empanadas de carne? Crispy on the outside, savory and perfectly seasoned on the inside. Honestly, some of the best I've had. I also tried their maracuyá (passion fruit) juice, and when I say they give you a HUGE cup -- I mean humongous! It was refreshing, perfectly sweet and tangy, and the portion size alone makes it worth it. Another standout was their version of pico de gallo -- fresh, vibrant, and so flavorful. It complemented everything beautifully. The ambiance is super cute and welcoming. The design makes it feel cozy yet lively -- a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal with family or friends. On top of that, the customer service was very pleasant and attentive. They really make you feel appreciated as a guest. Portions are generous, presentation is on point, flavors are authentic -- La Paisita is definitely a must-try if you're in the Rialto area. I will absolutely be coming back! Highly recommend!
