Growing up around Colombian food, they do an amazing job along with amazing service. Wilmer helped make the planning process so smooth and showed great flexibility. He even took the time to visit the venue to finalize the details and set up. He was incredibly responsive in communication, flexible with our requests, and his team was amazing with all of our guests. I always see this good truck when driving and finally got a chance to try it! The owner is friendly and there are clean tables and chairs to sit at. La Diablo arepa - has cheese and chorizo. The chorizo was soooo good! I didn't expect to get such a big piece. Everything together tasted delicious. Cheese stick - I really enjoyed the flavor of the outside of the cheese stick. Really delicious, fresh, and authentic Colombian food! They use delicious corn arepas paired with mozarella cheese. It's a winning combination, and we can't recommend them enough. We are so happy we found WezzArepas when they were a smaller business at 626 Night Market and Foodieland, and are even happier to see them grow and now have their own food truck located in Whittier. Ordered 4 empanadas (2 beef and 2 chicken) and an original arepa. The empanadas were yummy and had a good amount of meat filling and crunch. Arepa was good as well. All around I would give the food a 4, however my overall rating is a 3 because I paid for 4 empanadas, but only got 3. And of course I didn't think to check the bag until I got home (they give you the bag stapled so I didn't think to open it until I got home). The arepas were great. The service was good and worth the wait. Event staff threw away my order before I got to eat my arepas, I was so disappointed. I went to purchase more arepas and the truck was already closed. They made me new arepas even though they were done for the night at no charge. They really went above and beyond. We were in Whittier to visit family and came across the Wezzarepas truck. What an amazing experience! Service was great and food to match! We had the Choriperro, Arepa, and Choripapa. The food here is so delicious! Truly the options are endless. We tried the arepas, empanadas and the "Mastiff". For the empanadas both the chicken and beef are delicious. We had to get the "Jala-Roni" which was the perfect amount of cheesy and spicy. The "Mastiff" was the best hit dog I've ever had. It makes any other hot dog seem plain and boring. I finally had a chance to go visit them at their new location in Whittier, CA. Let me tell you it was so worth the wait. I got the Original Arepa and a chicken empanada. The Original Arepa tastes so delicious and flavorful, the perfect amount of cheese and sweet corn. The taste brought me back to the East coast when I used to get Arepas at the Colombian festivals. We order two different empanadas, the chicken and the beef beef. We contracted WezzArepa to cater my fathers's 90th Birthday Party. I was worried at first because it was for over 160 guests and lines could get long but that was not the case. Wilmer and his crew executed the catering flawlessly. They were so fast and the line never got longer than 4-5 people. We only served the Arepas and Empanadas and they were cooked fresh on site (not coming out of a warmer made hours before like you would expect from some caterers who like to cut corners.) These guys are true professionals. I was also worried my family would be overly critical about the food since we are Colombians ourselves but the opposite happened. My husband and I recently checked out Wezzarepa. We tried the sweet corn arepas. You get a warm, ewwy gooey cheesy corn cake with a slight crunch. Oh my gosh! it was so good. My husband saved his to eat the next morning with coffee. He popped that arepa in the air fryer for less than 10 minutes, it was delicious! I recommend trying them. The staff are nice too. read more
