I love cafe de olla and as they say, it didn't disappoint. I got an exceptional cup of cafe de olla latte, thanks to Elijah, who was a very welcoming and and friendly young man who help me at the counter. He answered all my curious questions. It is such a small shop. There are no seating arrangements inside the small shop that has a lot of merchandise from T-shirts, sweatshirts, to coffee beans to mugs, etc.. from the looks of the mugs that are featured here. This shop has been in business for a decade, more power to you. I hear vibrant and cultural music that is faint enough for you to be able to carry a conversation, I really love that. This is right by the Metrolink train tracks street parking noted and there appears to be a public parking that's free along first street this shop is in the corner of first Street and Main Street. . This is another shop. I wish that would be closer to me, and I would be visiting it very often at least once or twice a week if I could help it at all. Another wonderful experience. I also ordered a Cinnabon which was horrible. I saw it go into the oven as soon as we ordered. When our drinks were ready, we went up to grab the drinks and asked for the Cinnabon. Staff said the Cinnabon was still in the oven. We noticed a box at the pick up station but didn't think much. That box ended up being the Cinnabon. The Cinnabon was very very stale.

I always order mine unsweetened or lightly sweetened with almond milk. I have yet to be able to enjoy a matcha ordered like this anywhere without it tasting like dirt but their's does not. Their customer service is always great. I have never had a bad experience at this place. Be prepared to stand in a long line though - that's a good sign. That means their product and service is good. The line moves pretty quickly.

Conveniently located, it offers a great study space and, of course the necessary fuel to survive. It has since changed names and possibly owners, but it's still just as great as I remember. Tasty coffee and a fun vibe. I recently stopped by and was reminded how much I love the shop's décor, especially the exposed brick wall. The place has a lot of character, and the staff member who took my order was super chill. They also have a cute patio overlooking the university, and I love that they serve beer and wine too. Another thing that makes them stand out is the variety of events they host, like karaoke nights and yoga classes.

I love when they bring in a vase of flowers it really adds to the ambiance. The hojicha latte is my favorite and is toasty, nutty and flavorful. Great if you don't want something too sweet I've ordered it so many times. The berry matcha so refreshing and tasty, popular for a very valid reason. If you want something a little more hydrating the coconut matcha fits the bill. Lastly would recommend the marble latte if you're looking for a strong coffee! It slaps. Parking is weird here. They share a parking lot with a nail salon and the on-site parking is limited and cramped. I pulled up with a spot open. I suffered later as it was tricky to reverse out but I survived. Lol. I guess you can park on the street but there are signs from the business regarding towing, so I was a bit ancy. Not sure how comfortable I would feel if I returned to stay and study for a few hours. Anywho, this establishment looks like its a house renovated into a coffee shop. Decent amount of tables and chairs to stay for a chat over coffee or a study session. Lots of seating outside as well. They also have a shelf of books, but I wish it wasn't tucked away making it hard to access if other customers are sitting right in front of it. As for the service and drink I would give it a 4. Service was friendly and I did get a few recommendations. I decided to get their vietnamese coffee and to their credit, it was decent. I come from GG/Bolsa which has the most authentic vietnamese coffees in Socal, so given this is out of that area, they still have a good recipe for viet coffee. The only thing was I wasn't allowed to get extra ice probably because of their recipe. Their normal ice level was fine. I also got a spinach feta croissant. I did like that they had a variety lof savory and sweet croissants. Although my croissant was warmed, the inside of it was not when I took a few bites. The flavor was also just okay, so I wouldn't get that again. All in all, I would return to try other drinks but be more cautious of where I park.
