Coffee was extremely bitter and burnt tasing. The staff were condescending and seemed to not want to help or serve us. So sad I couldn't get a better experience. It's honestly one of the faster coffee shops in the area, and the quality is always excellent. Even on busier days, any extra wait is absolutely worth it. Their serving size is a little small, but I don't mind. My matcha was average. They use Rocky's Matcha here, which I'm not the biggest fan of. The matcha was very watered down and I couldn't taste the matcha at all. My matcha tasted a little weird and more like milk. I really appreciate how they don't throw away the pastries they don't sell, I believe more cafes should start doing it. I was given a free cookie which I really appreciate. Staff zipped out from the back when I'd entered. There's no self-service kiosks, so customers order at the counter. Staff is friendly and welcoming. After receiving my drink, Staff vanished into the back for the entire time. The drink took one minute and six seconds. Fast!! As mentioned, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($5.50) with Boba (additional 79 cents) is not awful. It's big, cheap, and thirst-quenching. Although the boba lacked any perkiness, I did appreciate its very small sweetness. Concerning the ambiance, it felt sad. Chairs had mysterious black stains, dust & webs gripped the windows' corners, yellow & aged plants lazed about, and lights stayed dimly lit like a haunted house. However, there's utility. Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) has six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details on the plastic countertop. And there's a restroom for customers. In addition, the floors and tables are fairly clean. Overall, Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) feels like a forgotten relic of time. At the very minimum, it's an adequate establishment. If you're searching for affordability and a place to study/work, there's potential. 3.3 out of 5

But when looked it up, all the photos made the matcha look more milky or specialty flavor forward, when what i like is just a standard strong latte. Took a chance and ended up getting an amazing drink, super creamy and delicious! Basically to the level of a lot of the trending cafes in other parts of socal, wish i heard more about nambah online. I signed up for their rewards in case I'm back in the area, since the points don't expire. What I didn't expect was two mini cookies for signing up. What a refreshing little shop in the heart of Claremont Village! Love the greenery surrounding the comfortable sofas, tables & bar seating. I perused their menu and found the ingredients to be so highly tempting. After reading about the menu, I had to stop myself from ordering 4-5 drinks all to my self. I narrowed it down to the Reptar latte that's matcha topped with ube cold foam and the Happy Nut latte mixed with almond & macadamia milk, pistachio syrup & pistachio cream. Staff a super amiable and the youn lady say me eyeing the mini donuts being made via a conveyer contraption & asked if I wanted a sample, I said, "Who me? I thought you'd never ask!
