We host ladies' night socials in SWFL and decided to try CAVO on Saturday, June 22nd. We have spoken to the manager several times and reserved seating for 30 ladies. We arrived at 7:05 pm and were assigned only one server. By 7:40 pm, the server was still taking drink orders, so I requested the front desk to assign another server, and they did. However, what shocked us was that both servers assigned to us were new and had no idea about the menu. One of them couldn't even spell the menu items, and I had to dictate the spelling of each item. She didn't know what a flight was, and I had to explain it to her, even though it was mentioned in their bar menu. The restaurant/bar should provide proper training before hiring people. Our food order-taking was done by 8 pm. We waited for our food to arrive, only to get another surprise: the server forgot to write the table number with the food orders. So, she had to take everyone's order again at 8:05 pm. One of the ladies with us ordered a burrata salad, and it took 40 minutes to arrive because the server accidentally gave it to another party. Went to Cavo tonight after leaving Burn and was extremely disappointed on my first experience ever in Cavo. I went straight to bar and asked for a tequila and lemonade. The bartender pulled out Don Julio and when I asked him about their house tequila he didn't say anything but shook his head. He poured the house drink after moving the don julio one to the side. He printed the receipt for us to scan and the total was 29.60 for two "house tequila singles and lemonade". The receipt showed top shelf and it didn't make sense especially since Burn only charged $16 for two basic drinks. I tried to get the bartender's attention who was clearly annoyed, he ignored me and avoided eye contact. We ended up leaving the receipt and drinks there. Service was poor and his attitude didn't help it. The cost for top shelf isn't an issue but I wouldn't pay more for less. Please teach your bartenders to have respect and know that first impressions are important. read more

On the sign as you come in it says bogo. Buy one get one and advertises a happy hour price. Was told that he "wouldn't be allowed in" due to him not "being able to stand up straight" when in reality he's healing from a serious medical incident and is considered physically handicapped and walks with a limp. But first the drinks: I had a thymely mule that was absolutely spot on, my gf had the cucumber vodka drink not sure the name but she loved it and she is not easy to impress. Apps: we had the calamari and the sliders both were so freshly made that I forgot I was eating at a bar! We shared entrees of the ahi tuna and chicken, the ahi tuna which was served on a creme of some kind with a compote and a fresh garnish of sprouts and greens was so well balanced and the flavors combined so effortlessly, the tuna was cooked masterfully, and nice crispy seared top and bottom. It was my favorite. The chicken was delicious as well I can't wait to come back and try the rest of their menu!! We bad experience at one of my favorite places. I was verbally assaulted by a young women on Ecstasy. I wish I was kidding... but I am not. We had to leave, we were a fairly large group of mostly fellow residents from the Strada. From what I understand she was a former employee that thought she owned the place. Went to this establishment Saturday July 9 around 9:30pm. I was there for a friends birthday party. When I was coming in I paid for my entrence fee ($10) went and met with my friends. Later on during the night security came up to me asking about my stamp. I didn't know anything about a stamp. Then after he tells me I had to leave because I had no stamp. The hostess then came immediately to security to tell them I paid and that they forgot to give me a stamp. The security guard I guess caught a vendetta against me because after that incident he never took his eye off me. The night progressed, I bought a $700 bottle of Tequila for my friends. We were having a great time. Around 1:30am the same security guard keeps eyeballing me. I then ask him respectfully if I did something or why Is he targeting me specifically. After I tell him this he explodes and proceeds to push me out of the premises. Telling me if I don't leave he will call the cops. Even the bartender didn't know why I was getting kicked out. All the guys in the group were getting kicked out but the Ladies could go in..... of course... Being a local here in Naples I will never be going to Cavo again. I never did anything to that man. Say anything disrespectful or derogative. I feel targeted as a Hispanic.They don't deserve your hard worked earned money. Just go to Blue Martini or Burn. I have only been to Florida once and was not familiar with the Mercado area when planning my sisters bachelorette party. I came across Cavo's website, I called and spoke to Rich and he has gone above and beyond to make our time at Cavo as seamless as possible. I enjoy tapas style restaurants. Meals become more social and everyone can enjoy a wide variety of the restaurants' signiture dishes. The service at the restaurant was impressive. When we arrived it was busy but only took a minute to get a seat. The food took about 15 minutes to come out...Pretty fast considering how busy they were. The staff regularly offered to fill our drinks and bus our dishes. The table was crowded with food so that was much appreciated. There was some great music in the background too. Since we sat outside we couldn't see the musician , but we could hear him jamming out inside. We arrived at 7:30. They had happy hour from 3pm-8pm. The menu clearly displayed the happy hour prices and the non happy hour prices. Many of the drinks were half off. The food was only discounted about $2 a plate. I ordered the eggplant and spinach parmesan lasagna, spicy steak tacos, fish sliders and shrimp and grits. The eggplant and spinach lasagna was delicious. It had a creamy inner texture with a toasted top and bottom. It was easily my favorite dish. The steak tacos were decent. The tortilla was soft but didn't fall apart. They had some kick to them but the avocado tampered the bite. The fries that came with the fish sliders were notably delicious. I'm not sure what the fries were seasoned with but it's a good thing they didn't give me an entire plate of them. I may have been tempted to eat nothing else , haha. Oh Cavo, we love you! My friends and I come to Cavo a lot. It's definitely one of the most "happening" places to be on the weekend. They play great music and manage to fill the place up, sometimes with a line out the door. If you don't want to wait in line, come before 11 to be safe. My girl friends and I love their Happy Hour. It is one of the best around. They have half off on all drinks and many discounted food choices to choose from. I love the Tacos, Ceviche, and Tuna Tartar. Most everything is delicious. I also have to rave about Crystal. She's a phenomenal server, bartender, event hostess, the very very best! Dinner was ordered and again our dinners came out at all different times. We never complained but we knew this wasn't right. A large group of our Wine Tasters Club Members were recently Hosted by Manager Billy and his wonderful team and the Food, Drinks, Music, Atmosphere, and above all, Service were beyond our expectations. Great open air lounge with seating outside, yet a nice cool space to relax and listen to music on the inside. The menu has a variety of great appetizers to choose from with attractive Happy Hour pricing. We had the Salmon crustini appetizer and it was Outstanding.
