The Bay House provided the perfect surroundings for our three couples to say goodbye to 2025 and celebrate new beginnings in 2026! We received service with a warm smile from our valet attendant to our excellent server Bilyana. After being served palate pleasing glasses of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and white Sangria, we started with salads and soup. Two of us shared the Farmer's Salad (perfect size for two) which was fresh and delicious, capped off by the pickled beets which we love. Two people ordered the corn and crab bisque and raved about the flavor. Next, the mains...each one perfection in presentation and flavor! I had the roasted black cod which literally melted in my mouth and was complimented by white sticky rice and asparagus. One of us had the seared king scallops which also came with roasted asparagus but was trumped by the beet mashed potatoes! So bright, colorful and tasty! Additional mains included the Nashville Chicken (juicy and delicious), the St. Augustine Stew (a bowl of fragrance and flavor) and two New York Strip specials, which were cooked to perfection. I can honestly say that each of us thoroughly enjoyed our entree and would order it again. We were too full for dessert and absolutely satisfied with our entire dining experience at The Bay House! Amazing, amazing, amazing. On every level, this restaurant is amazing. Down to the finest details, even the bathrooms are gorgeous. This is our 3rd or 4th dinner at The Bay House. It's more than the peaceful view of the backwater with the occasional kayaker. We have never been disappointed in the food & the service. My husband loves the salmon dish which is served with diced sweet potato. And that's another reason to eat here . . entrees are served with veggies/potato! And it all comes out piping hot! Came on a Sunday for lunch. Our server, Laura, was lovely. Menu is one of the more expensive in Naples ($50 for crab stuffed branzino at lunch). It was very bland, a bit dry, nothing special. Salmon was undercooked and again, just very basic. Portions were small. Towards the end of our meal, a swarm of lovebugs descended on the deck. Fortunately we were almost ready to leave. Usually someone stops by not long after the mains are served. Nothing until we were finished and flagged anyone we could catch. Not great, not bad. We sat outdoors which does offer beautiful views. We started with the cheese plate, which if you're hungry I'd pass on it, it's only three triangles of cheese. While delicious just very very small. The oysters seem to be a hit with the table. And the cornbread was just average. All our mains were fish based except one diner who had steak. The fish was over sauced and a little overcooked and the sides seem to be prepared in bulk. It felt a little bit like buffet kind of food. However, the restaurant was very full and the atmosphere is fun. It's a very average meal. You won't leave blown away, but you won't leave upset. Wine pour was also quite generous. read more

We were a party of 5 for dinner, and we all thought this restaurant was incredible! Two of us started in the bar with a cocktail, and I had their special martini with a little white cranberry juice and some gold flakes. Really festive, refreshing, and tasty! Dinner was out on the back balcony, which was a little chilly that night, but the staff powered up the heaters to help. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the entire restaurant... it feels like a special place for celebrations but is casual enough for everyday dinners. Everyone at the table enjoyed their dinners... my friend had the tripletail fish and couldn't stop talking about how tasty it was! Another friend had scallops and was equally impressed. My brother tried the steak frites and thought the steak was even better than one at a popular steakhouse he had eaten at a couple of days ago (but the fries weren't really his favorite). I got the stone crab claws, and while I enjoyed it, they were dry. I'm a bit biased when it comes to crab, having spent most of my life on the Pacific Ocean side of the country where Dungeness crab is tough to beat! But the stone crab at this restaurant seemed previously frozen to me... in fact, some of the crab meat was out of the shell and resting on a plate of ice. The meat was clearly over-chilled and maybe even freezer burned. It sounds crazy, but when I dipped it in the drawn butter, the butter cooled so much that I think it solidified! I will absolutely return to this restaurant for many future meals, but I think I'll stick to the primary menu items and be a bit cautious of the specials. read more

The Bay House - Pan roasted black grouper - Seafood Near Me - Naples, Florida

It's been two weeks since we revealed the Bay House's "nickel and dime" practice of charging $7 for a juice size cranberry club soda and then charging $7 more for a refill. The waitress asks, "would you like a refill?" and naturally, we presumed, consistent with good restaurant practices, that if the restaurant charged a customer $7 for juice glass size cranberry club soda, a refill would be no charge. It's not until you received the check, that you first find out about the Bay House's nickel and dime over charge practice. Although the Bay House profusely apologized, nothing has changed. The apology was merely pro performa, and without any substantive merit. We live here, year round, and will make sure, we avoid ever going there again. Restaurants like the Bay House take advantage of the busy Naples "season" and have little appreciation for year-round customers. "Nickel and diming" undermines customer loyalty, and eventually the Bay House will pay a price for its poor business practices. We hope that many of you reading this posting, are of a similar view, and will avoid this restaurant. There are too many great restaurants in Naples to have to put up with this type of customer abuse and disrespect. read more

The aged bourbon from Vermont was smooth and well balanced. Overall the service was excellent. The waiter was attentive but did not rush our food, the timing made the dining experience excellent. The Grouper main course could use a bit more attention. It was slightly overcooked and the sweet potato puree on the plate overpowered it. The portion of grouper was appropriate but the sweet potato portion was double or triple what you would expect. The hamburger was large and cooked perfectly. The fries were hot and salted excellent I think the grouper was ready early and waited for the hamburger to be cooked. I have been to the Bay house many times before and it is a great dining experience. I recommend it especially during sunset outside on the deck. read more

We had reservations for 4:15pm in the courtyard. It was shaded and windy, but the staff had the fire-pits and heat lamps lit so it was great. Service was outstanding throughout the meal. Drinks were perfectly made and quickly delivered. The cornbread with honey butter is served warm and was moist and super flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed the St. Augustine Stew, which had a delightful peppery broth and fresh tasting seafood. My sister-in-law loved the Seared King Scallops and my wife thought the Paris Bistro-Style Lobster & Frites was perfect and the Bernaise sauce that accompanied the dish was wonderful for dipping fries. To top it off we were celebrating my sister-in-law's birthday and they gave us the most wonderful piece of cake and a hand painted oyster shell has a memento. My friends and I recently visited the Bay House to celebrate our friend's engagement. The ambiance of the restaurant is classy, elegant and a little swanky. Our server, Simi, truly elevated our experience. She was attentive, friendly, and had great recommendations. Onto the food- wow! Everything was on point. We started with the lobster and lump crab potholes, which were buttery and delicious. The cornbread is an absolute must! probably the best cornbread I've ever had. For my entree, I chose the roasted black cod. The cod was tender, flaky, while the sticky rice cake provided the perfect contrast in texture. The citrus and ginger butter sauce tied everything in the dish together. Simi surprised us with a funfetti cake with cream cheese frosting to celebrate my friends engagement. We had our first meal here at the Bay House. I had the wedge salad with goat cheese (very good about substituting) and the Barbque shrimp and grits and my husband has the Caesar and Grouper. My meal was a 5 and my husband said his was a 4 thus the 5 star rating. The BarBque shrimp and grits has a creole type sauce on top that was so delightful! The ambiance and service were a 5 as well. The ambiance is beautiful in the Tavern. We sat in a booth that was extremely comfortable and all 7:00 a band started to play. The volume was perfect. You could still talk and yet you could hear the band. The service was we extraordinary! Our waitress couldn't do enough for us. We tip 15 to 20% for good service and reward excellent service . We tipped her 32% for her attentiveness, willingness to help but never overpowering. The best service since we moved here! We recommend this restaurant. read more

My sister in law made a reservation for us to visit to Bay House during our Christmas visit to Naples. All I can say is wow!!! The food, service and ambiance was truly amazing and everyone in our party was thrilled with the experience. If you have a chance to stop by and taste the cuisine, you will not be disappointed. Try the homemade cornbread too, it's a crowd favorite. The restaurant has valet parking and they treat everyone special when you pull up to the door.
