This time, I ordered a half pound of sliced tri-tip and requested it rare, along with a half rack of baby back ribs. Unfortunately, the tri-tip was not rare when I got it, and it was sliced thinner than I expected. The flavor also wasn't nearly as good as I remembered from previous visits. At about $12 for half a pound, I was disappointed by the quality. I also ordered a half rack of baby back ribs for around $16. While they were okay initially, they didn't seem as flavorful or tender as the ribs I had enjoyed here before. The leftovers I reheated the next day were particularly disappointing and not very enjoyable. In the past the ribs were great reheated. I may have caught them on an off day, but this visit was a noticeable step down from my previous experiences. Given the prices and the excellent food I've had here in the past, I left feeling disappointed and hoping this was just an isolated experience.

He was knowledgeable and flexible when it came to planning the menu and the evening. We were renting a beach house for the week and he brought an extra table and tablecloths to make the dinner a little extra special. The food was flavorful and fresh and just exactly what we were hoping for. I would highly recommend Rich as a personal chef.
