First time trying this place, and the coffee was excellent. I ordered a cappuccino and really enjoyed it. I also tried a blueberry muffin, but it was a bit disappointing. It didn't taste freshly baked, and the texture made it seem like it may have been made with oil rather than butter. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't something I would order again. What a sweet and down to earth space. I appreciated the interior design choices. It gave rancher vibes and it worked. My half-caff latte had a very bold flavor so I suppose that might be helpful to know if you're sensitive to strong tasting espresso. I bought a ceramic and to-go mug because they were just so cute. Be aware of the three 6' Tall Cacti presently at the entrance. It's almost as if the business doesn't want any. Brush up against it at all and you will tear your clothing or incur injury. They may look appealing but they need to be relocated to somewhere else, out of the way. read more

My mom and I love taking a trip up north whenever we can and the most recent one was the end of June this summer. This place is a family owned mom and pop coffee spot with delicious flavor. Staff was friendly and quick with out seeming like they were in a rush. It has nice cup of coffee from home and the atmosphere was small and quite very nice for a meet up. read more

Customer service was lacking. I dealt with 2 female employees. The first was a blonde young lady, she was sweet and kind, I appreciated her input and assistance. She went to the back and I was then helped by a dark haired woman. She treated me like I was bothering her every time I asked a question (I'd never been there before and had questions about what to order) She huffed and puffed under her breath and sighed dramatically. I just stopped talking and ordered something. When it was ready she said "here" and put it on the counter. Another customer in the sitting area raised her eyebrows and made a "wow" face at me when she heard. I wont go back. Really upset by my experience here. The lady at the register was very dismissive and looked like she could t be bothered to work. I asked what was in a Mexican mocha and she said "spices but idk which ones". Great. I order drip coffee, and two others with me ordered specialty drinks. At least 10 others behind us in line got their orders first and my friends got their orders. I waited 10-15 minutes before finally asking where my drip coffee was, the easiest thing. During that time the workers were just all talking with each other, leaving the counter, or chatting with a friend that stopped in. I finally asked about my coffee and then she had to ask me what roast and size I ordered then literally just pumped it out of a premade batch pump and with no eye contact said "sorry" in the flattest tone. Sorry to say that Cayucos Coffee will be under new management. Today (Aug 27, 2025) was their last day. The current staff will no longer be there. I'm sorry to see Cayucos Coffee go. They paid attention to how each drink was made and gave the customers what they wanted. I'm extremely fussy and I like my ristretto machiatto without too much liquid in the milk/foam; they would make the foam just right. I've heard from others that they loved their coffee or tea drinks there. I wish the owners well in their next phase whatever that may be. read more

I'm so glad my family and I stopped by this coffee shop when we stayed in Cayucos. Ever since we left, we've not stopped comparing every single coffee drink to Cayucos Coffee It was literally the best coffee I've ever had. And I'm unfortunately a bit picky with my coffee, but they were incredible! Perfection I got their cappuccino (one with reg. milk and another breve. Both were equally delicious!)
