I've been coming to Cazadores for well over a decade. Even after having moved out of San Diego I make a point to drop in just about every time I visit. The food has always been incredibly delicious, fresh, and consistent. The staff are also always helpful and friendly, even when I often come by late at night not far off from closing time. The restaurant is always clean and there's ample seating. Their salsas are some of the best I've had and are honestly a huge factor in what keeps me coming back. GET THE HUNTER BOWL! I did the grilled chicken hunter bowl and added fajita veggies and chipotle sauce. It was seriously SO tasty. It also made me realize how good their pinto beans are. Absolutely top notch Mexican food. My vegan order is a bean and rice burrito which is better than any other I've ever had. Their salsa bar is incredible. I love the green salsa and the habanero, too. 1st time here, i love that they have a drive through window. I ordered a carne asada burrito with pico and guacamole on the side. It comes with the burrito but I had a 30 minute drive so I ordered it on the side so my burrito doesn't get soggy. I also ordered a side of beans with a medium Jamaica. I found this place on Google maps. What caught my attention was the beans! I LOVE BEANS & in the pictures it looks super yummy so I figured why not give it a try. I had a bit of beans and a bite of burrito before I hit the freeway. It was so yummy and hot (temperature). Just how I like it. The carne flavor was really yummy they seasoned it well. Cazadores has been pivotal in our monthly meals. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered the Garlic Shrimp. Thinking it would take forever, it was pretty quickly. I've been coming here for years and it has never disappointed. Since my elementary school days, Cazadores has always offered delicious and fresh San Diego Mexican food and friendly service. I've tried many things on the menu, but particularly love the Shrimp Diablo burrito, any of the taco hard shell bowls, rolled tacos, fish burrito, and, of course, Cali burrito. Today, my friend and I went through the drive through and I got a ceviche tostada and fish taco. My friend got a combo with a Cali burrito and rolled tacos. The ceviche tostada was large and very fresh and tasty with a delicious sauce. Shrimp taco was also large and had a delectable white sauce. Portions are huge, prices are reasonable, quick service, and the people in the drive through have always been very nice! Make sure you get a bag of hot carrots and plenty of salsa. Glad this place has stayed around and survived the pandemic days! Will keep coming back as long as live and visit here. read more

First time. Came on a recommendation by someone who this is their go-to place. Loved the signage and indoor space right away. We ordered at the counter. I immediately noticed the salsa bar full of a variety of tasty options. The surf and turf burritos are our daughter and future son-in-law's go-to, though they have ordered other menu items. They are huge burritos and they say they are the best. I ordered the garlic shrimp and ceviche tostada because I couldn't decide between the two recommendations. So, so yummy. The enchilada sauce on my wife's cheese enchiladas combo was so good too. And I'm picky about my enchilada sauce. We will definitely make this place one of our stops every time we're in the area. This is my first time, and last time, ordering food from this restaurant. While the drive- through attendant was completing my order, he asked how many hot sauce containers I want. He offered two or three, to which I asked for a few more (because they are the tiny, half filled containers), to which his reply with a smile was, "it's OK you can waste our money." I'm sorry, WHAT?!? This is not how you speak to customers, especially when there are a lot of competition in the area... to include Bad Hombres, which tastes significantly better than your food. Surf and Turf Burrito And California Burrito with the fries Extra Crispy I can echo the most recent bad review that these burritos were not the Cazadores that we know and love. My Surf and Turf was a soggy mess and my wife's fries were not even cooked let alone crispy. Also, both were packed with a disgusting amount of sour cream. I really hope someone running this place reads these as they went from the best burritos in San Diego, to the worst Burritos we've ever had in a matter of months. "Cazadores" means "hunters" - yet nothing on the menu needs to be hunted. What stood out most (to me) on the menu is how many of the choices offered include shrimp; maybe a name change to emphasize what they actually serve most might attract more customers seeking it. read more
