    California burrito
    Rose H.

I've been eating Estrada's since high school so not only does the place come with so many memories, some of their items are unbeatable. My favorite thing ever is their California burrito. Even though it's just fries, carne asada, and cheese, it has alot of flavor. The tortilla alone is a 10/10. If you are someone who likes a packed burrito, make sure you ask for additional items such as guac, sour cream, etc. For someone who is picky and even gets it with no cheese, it's perfect. The MINI California is still huge. In fact, the mini feels just as big as the regular. I love Estrada's and I also look forward to getting my cali burrito when in town :) Parking is a little tight at this location and there is not a lot of seating inside so not ideal for parties bigger than 5**

This spot has the Best shrimp burritos ever. Fast services with great customer services. Always made sure we have enough hot sauces. I've always felt welcome here, cashiers always made sure they greeted everyone with respect from entering and leaving. Restaurant always clean & sanitized ready for customers to dine in. Highly recommend this spot

Fish taco plate order review. Mushy pico, bottom of the bag cheese, lettuce used not cabbage, no sauce but probably a blessing cause im half sure if they offered one it would be miraclewhip... Oh an no limes!?!? The service is great and the store is clean and inviting.

I stopped in here for a break burrito before the 10 am NFL kick off and ordered it with bacon, eggs, cheese, and avocado for an extra charge. The burrito was of good size and came on a very good flour tortilla with a buttery texture (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/estradas-mexican-food-santee?select=iUdS-W2vgPze6ozDjMKxHg#AkEGMhSLtl0zmCT7NrEuWA). However, the burrito's inside ingredients were not so inspiring. First of all, the bacon tasted okay, but it was dry and a little over done, and the egg was not well scrambled and a little dry and over done as well in areas (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/estradas-mexican-food-santee?select=iUdS-W2vgPze6ozDjMKxHg#dh7tITPTfjdZcP4Ii0w4EA). The cheese was well melted and they put a limited amount of avocado in the burrito, and since I paid extra for it, I expected more. The red salsa was okay. It had mild spice and flavor as well (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/estradas-mexican-food-santee?select=iUdS-W2vgPze6ozDjMKxHg#M2gB_YyS63Ba4BXykeb9fA). Unlike many places, they serve menudo everyday, and the service was okay at the counter. I did here the gentlemen at the counter having a discussion with the cook over the confusion of some orders. Honestly, I have had better breakfast burritos...

Pretty decent size carne asada burrito. Good flavor.

My order: Carne asada burrito with cheese and sour cream added. Good size and good flavor! I'd order again. Came with "american guacamole" which I don't mind. "Mexican guacamole" available on request. 3 rolled tacos guacamole and cheese, asked for no lettuce. Good tacos but got soggy in the middle from guacamole. My fault for not getting the lettuce, probably would've prevented that. I'd order again, with lettuce. Service: Fast and friendly! I had a younger guy take my order and he was friendly and got my special requests correct. Offered me as many hot sauces as I'd like. No issue with that as other posters have mentioned. The hot sauce was good too! Overall great experience and I was pleasantly surprised. I'll be back as I live close. Also cool there's a great liquor store next door with a great variety of beers to go with my burrito! Nice to go pick out a brew while I wait for my food!

I re-parked my car and entered the 'arena' and committed to stay for one bout. The woman behind the register had the calm of someone who's seen every kind of hunger. "What's the Filipino favorite on the menu?" I asked. She didn't blink. "Pac Man Burrito." Just two nights ago, I was cheering the Pacquiao-led team on Netflix's Physical: Asia. Tonight, I find myself face to face with a champion $21.99 burrito aptly named after him, or at least his nickname. It arrived cleaved in half on a plate. Probably so that it won't look as intimidating, but both halves looked like a pair of white boxing gloves! Que horror! I had to manhandle the thing and squeeze it like a cheap date just to get my mouth around it. First real bite and bam...Tocino! That sweet, cured pork punching straight through the Mexican chorus line. I was maybe an eighth of the way in when the 'referee' behind the register asked "How's the burrito?" "I'm struggling" I said, salsa dripping on my chin. "This thing's got stamina." She nodded like she'd heard it before, and by the time I came back from the salsa vault with pico de gallo and Chile de Arbol refills, a to-go box was already waiting on the table like an exit strategy. Tortilla chips sat in small paper bags under a heat lamp. Every bite was warm, crisp and crunchy. I love their stainless steel salsa vault. No dusty air, no door-breeze contamination. Smart. The trash bin was stainless steel too with no leftover remnants or soda syrup splatter. Places that care about chips and salsa care about everything. I boxed the remains - half a burrito then called my nephew on the way to the car. "You eat yet?" "Nah." "Good. I'm bringing home a champion."

Overall…read moreit's a solid location for filipino fusion burritos - all their burritos are HUGE and can definitely last 2 meals. Their salsas are also veryyyy spicy which I wish they weren't. I think the least spicy salsa they have is either the pico de gallo or the chipotle, both of which are still decently spicy. They give you a few salsa cups for the salsa bar, but if you're eating in they also have salsa squeeze bottles in the fridge that you're free to use. As for their burritos I always get them cut in half to share them with my fiance. I enjoyed their breakfast burrito but I wish they put hashbrowns in them. Their tocino burrito is also good, but I somehow always end up getting the half that has way too much sour cream. We're not a fan of fries in burritos so we got it on the side and preferred it that way much more. The sausage is really good and flavorful, but the burrito as a whole is just too rich for me. This is however my fiance's favorite burrito spot.
