3.5 stars Came and got a carne asada burrito. They asked if I wanted it Mexican or American style. He told me the difference but I was still confused he said the Mexican style came with avocado and pico de gallo so I went with that. The burrito came on a nicely grilled tortilla, the meat was high quality and tender. I liked that it came with slices of avocado rather than guacamole. But there was something missing then I realized that it didn't have sour cream and cheese. After looking at the menu I noticed that I should have ordered the "Classico" which comes with sour cream, cheese and black beans. My fault, I guess that's what he was asking when I ordered. The place is casual and has about 8 tables inside and its own parking lot. The burrito was good but they have more options than I'm used to. Next time I'll order the "Classico" This place has real potential, just gotta try more stuff or look over the menu closer next time. First time going because my regular taco shop was closed. Not very good and wouldn't go back. Young Hispanic guy behind the counter was nice and helpful, which was the highlight of the visit. Ordered the boiled chicken burrito, carne asada burrito, and Mexican rice. The chicken burrito was barely filled, and the chicken was overcooked and soft. Not good. The carne asada burrito was just decent. The rice was a bit dry. The habanero salsa was too salty to eat, and one of the reds and the green were like water. But two of the other reds were great, especially the one with fresh cilantro, onions, and tomatoes. Yeah, wouldn't go back when there's so many good taco shops around. Maybe I'll try the one nearby by Pathways sometime, which gets better reviews. But I almost forgot to mention... pricing is a bit more (~10%) than other taco shops around. read more

I've been eating Estrada's since high school so not only does the place come with so many memories, some of their items are unbeatable. My favorite thing ever is their California burrito. Even though it's just fries, carne asada, and cheese, it has alot of flavor. The tortilla alone is a 10/10. If you are someone who likes a packed burrito, make sure you ask for additional items such as guac, sour cream, etc. For someone who is picky and even gets it with no cheese, it's perfect. The MINI California is still huge. In fact, the mini feels just as big as the regular. I can in and got three rolled tacos with everything on it and a soda. The total was about $5 something. Not too bad! When I received my tacos it looked very yummy! Then I noticed my guac was a dark color.. So I knew it wasn't that fresh. When I ate it, the roll taco it's self is pretty yummy but with the guac it just made it taste not that fresh and yummy ): maybe next time they will give me fresh guac!? The hot sauce is decent. Ugh, I usually don't complain, and I absolutely love eating here, but the young man with glasses really needs to have a better attitude. When I was ordering, he kept rolling his eyes and pressuring me to finish ordering and was so disrespectful, the ambiance was pretty nice, clean tables, clean floor. I have been coming to this taco shop since I was in High School. Now I am in my late 30's. I don't live in Santee anymore but when I am there I try to sneak in a burrito. Today was one of those days. I got my standard Cali Burrito, add Mex Guac, and extra Pico. Which they charged me .90 for extra Pico, seriously? Although I was super happy to see the burritos are still massive, I was not overly impressed. First, where is the beef?Literally...where is it? I got the tiniest amount of carne asada, and what was in there was so bland! Where is the flavor?! Also, I added guac, and paid for it and I had to squint to find it! Like I would be surprised if there was more than a tablespoon in the entire burrito! Finally, the fries although cooked nice and crispy tasted like they were cooked in old oil! Yuck! And maybe the most disappointing part of all is their sauce was just gross! It just tasted off! That used to be my original driving force of this taco shop! I used to feel like I could drink their red sauce by the gallon, not anymore! Overall I am really sad to see that my gold standard taco shop has failed me! The food is great and I am a frequent customer but won't be coming back. The lady at the front normally has a bad attitude but I don't pay attention to it. I come every Saturday To order for pick up when I get really close to work as my job is right across the street. I googled the location and ordered for pick up and when i got there the lady explained to me I called the wrong location. I said ok well can I please order a burrito because I'm late for work and don't have time to drive up there and she said no. She explained she can't take my order because I already ordered it at the second location and was so rude. I explained I didn't have time and would like to order and will make sure I call the right place next time now that I know they have two locations. I have never experienced such rude customer service I feel like there should be at least be a system in place confirming which location customers are calling as it was a very frustrating experience. My family will officially never come here again. 1. They ALWAYS overcharge. It's been a laughing joke among our family but it's gotten so old. Every time we point it out, the person goes "oh sometimes our machine messes up".
