She was so efficient and every request was done with urgency. So much energy. All the staff were welcoming. One gentleman had his water glass slip off the table and everyone came to help clean it up quickly. So thankful the Copper Nickel is open on Tue as so many other restaurants are often closed Mon and Tue in the area.

The waitress (she is really nice!) said 2 larges would be enough for the 5 of us and she was right - we had almost no leftovers (good thing, we were staying in a motel with no fridge), but it was a stretch (literally) to eat it all. I have to say, for a Northwoods pizza joint the crust was really good. Toppings not half bad either, and they really like to load up your pie with banana peppers. We had a great time. I noticed on the way to the men's room that they have a nice game area for the kids, and it looked well-used. Also liked the free popcorn, though I'm sure it makes lots of people thirsty enough to order another beer. Next year we try the wings!!!

The broth is rich, aromatic, and very authentic, and the soup comes with all the proper garnishments: Thai basil, cilantro, mung bean sprouts, lime, hoisin sauce, and sriracha. It's comforting in the way good pho should be. The fried dumplings are also worth ordering, with a generous portion and solid flavor. Service here is very good, especially considering how busy it can get during the weekend dinner rush. The staff stays attentive and efficient without making the experience feel rushed. There's no formal parking lot, but street parking nearby is plentiful and hasn't been an issue. To add insult to injury, each dish is upwards of $11, and you could pan fry some top ramen noodles that tasted better than these dishes. The entire restaurant staff was Caucasian, including one of the chefs, who I saw come from the kitchen to hand deliver a take-out order. I have a hard time coming to terms with believing that this is what Midwest folks think is Asian cuisine, let alone GOOD Asian cuisine, especially when you have a decent Chinese buffet down the street.
