Potions were very generous. I ordered Pollo Caribeno, and the side salad was really fresh and decent. I especially like their side rice, not so salty like most Mexican food places. I was happy with my dish. My husband ordered Chile Verde. He said everything was good quality, good flavor, and cooked well. The only thing was the tomatillo sauce on his food was way too salty. It's dark and dreary inside. Uninviting. The food is good but the chips are not up to par and aren't very favorful.

We will never spend our money at this restaurant again. Their wait staff is piss poor, at best. Tells us he's going on break, leaves us sitting there for 30 minutes with no other server covering our table. We wanted dessert but never had our order taken for it. All this while other servers were just standing around doing nothing. Mentioned to the employee when we finally checked out, they apologized. But, the damage had been done. The food is amazing. I would normally have no complaints about anything except my son's Spanish class had a trip there. The kids ordered their food in Spanish. They enjoyed their food. The restaurant only had 12 servings of fried ice cream. There were 51 students, so majority did NOT get dessert. Very disappointing they had NO desserts at all on a Friday at 12:30 pm. I've been going to cazas since it opened. This was my go to when I was in high school, and every time I come to visit my parents I come here a few times. The food: food here is definitely not a foodie dream but for a quick lunch break or dinner and drinks while out shopping it really isn't bad. My go to is the fajita taco salad. I don't like beans so I just tell them no beans and to cook up those fresh bell peppers and it makes for a good meal. You can honestly tell that they make the salsa in house because you'll go there one time and it will be be milder and the next time it will be spicy. This might drive some people who need constancy crazy, but I think it speaks to the freshness and quality. Over all I would say the food is good. The service here is great. The owner is always in and If you have an issue he will do everything in his power to help resolve the problem and retain your business. While cazadores may not be everyone's cup of tea, I would definitely tell someone to at least try it once before completely knocking it. read more

My go to Mexican restaurant here in Podunk. The staff is fast and friendly. Food is always good, you are given fresh chips and salsa along with that white sauce. Margaritas are wonderful and big. I always get the chile relleno they are never too greasy or soggy, the sauce is perfect. I also order the fajitas, every kind has been terrific. Prices are really good, portions are big and filling. The first thing I noticed The restaurant was not very busy for a Saturday evening so we were seating right away. It was poorly lit in the restaurant so it is hard to tell the true level of cleanliness. The chips were fresh and warm and the salsa was very good. The server did not start off too friendly when taking our orders and I was a little taken back at first. Our food was brought out by someone else and she was very friendly. I would rate it average for Mexican food. My husband ordered a seafood dish and the crab was imitation. Their beef tip chimichangas and Mexican rice is heaven on a plate. I love this place.

From the looks of the restaurant and the music they were playing, it seemed authentic. The waiter was very nice and the prices were pretty good. I ordered a sweet tea but when I tasted it, it was extremely too sweet. So I asked for unsweetened. You get complimentary chips and salsa. The red salsa was excellent but did not care for the white sauce that tasted very much like sour cream with sugar. I ordered a "combo plate" and thought it came with rice and beans but it does not. My meal was drenched in a red enchilada sauce over most of the meal and consisted of a taco, a cheese enchilada and chile relleno. The hardshell taco had mostly ground beef with just a little amount of lettuce and shredded white cheese. The beef was too much on the salty side. Enchilada was the saddest part of the whole dish. Basically just a rolled soft tortilla with a little liquid white sauce that tasted exactly like melted American white cheese. The relleno was decent. He said YES we need the table!! WHAT? At basically 6:15 you need us to leave? So we paid our $85.00 bill and left, we were in disbelief so we sat in the parking lot for a few minutes, no other party of 5 or 6 showed up to take our table!!! All the while a couple that is there every night usually sitting at the bar drinking and eating chips, but now at a booth, there before us and I am sure we'll after us were not approached. in 20 years we have spent thousands of dollars with Raul and cazadores!, thousands!! and to top it off while we're trying to get out as quick as possible Rauls daughter shouts across the restaurant "put on your mask!! We have visited Cazadores twice now. Both times have been at lunch. The first time we went, we walked in and noticed it was warm in the restaurant like the AC wasn't working or wasn't turned on. We were greeted and sat quickly. We had chips, salsa, and a white sour cream like dip that was a nice addition. The waiter was courteous and friendly. Their menu has something for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised to see a vegetarian menu. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas and they were really good. The waiter was prompt on refilling our drinks and chips and salsa. The prices are good for a typical Mexican restaurant. We opted for this place over the chain competitor right down the street. This place is more authentic. Came here with my parents because nothing else seemed appetizing. Our first indication to turn around was the fast that it was empty, except for one party with a magician.The gentleman who sat us was nice and cheery, but our waitress was not as pleasant. We all stared at the tiny $4 bowl of questionable 'cheese', and hesitantly took a bit. Her response was "Well, this isn't Miami. You have to remember that this is Suffolk, and we don't have the same ingredients". Considering, we've all worked in the hospitality/guest relations fields, it felt like a cold slap in the face. If it were just me, i would've closed out my bill and left. Last time i checked, cheese was cheese. I understand that each dish may fluctuate, but not that much. For the entree, my dad got the steak and it was tough and rubbery, but the flavor wasn't too bad. My mom and i shared a chicken and rice dish, with the same water/cheesy goo on the side. I will definitely not come back and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Earlier this week, we went to Plaza Azteca. The service was excellent, and the food was...okay. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't memorable.
