A taco, a steak quesadilla, a chicken tortillas. Everything was Amazing.

The service was amazing ! This was my first time at this restaurant. It was my son's birthday on April 26, 2025. Everything we ordered was delicious. My son had some wings, a meal combo, drinks, and dessert. Everything was worth it. I will definitely visit this restaurant again. The atmosphere was very family oriented.

This is our go to Mexican place in Suffolk. We've eaten inside a few times and have done carry out quite a few times. We typically enjoy the food, my husband always gets the California burrito and I like to get different things to try most of the time. This time I tried the beef empanadas. They were good but I think I would have liked the chicken ones better, and because we did a carry out order the empanadas were a little soggy from sitting with the guacamole. When we have eaten at the restaurant, the service is always good and really fast. We really like the chips and salsa and my husband is a big fan of the white sauce. The only issue we have had is when ordering online. It seems that they do not have all of their actual menu items on the online ordering menu. When we asked about this, they told us they just didn't have that specific menu item but in the past my husband had ordered it several times before.

Part of the Plaza Azteca chain? Or not? This is the only Plaza Azteca location that has $1 taco Tuesday. I go most Tuesdays! The only caveat is that you order a drink. Any drink. Tea, beer, or a cocktail will do. And yes, tea get free refills. I've been going here for a long time. It is your average Mexican restaurant. Fast service, large portions, decent prices, good selection....and fast service. So after years of dining, why this sudden review? Because this week they served the best ceviche de camaron. It's not on the menu but I asked about it and the waitress didn't blink. But be warned, it had more jalapeños than most.

Airy inside... plenty of parking. My husbae and I dined here for an early lunch during the week. We sat in a booth and our server immediately greeted our table and within a minute we were already dipping chips into the salsa. The salsa has little bite, pepper flakes maybe... it was tasty. I ordered the chicken lunch fajitas and a bed of lettuce and shredded cheese. The beans, guac, sour cream... save it, call me simple, but I like to keep it simple. The service was on point and fast. If you are on a crunch time for lunch, you can easily be in and out within 25 minutes, maybe less. If you enjoy Mexican cuisine check them out. Have fun and enjoy life :)

My parents wanted something to eat and I was scared to bring them here since they are from California and have never left the state to have Mexican food anywhere else. My dad said it was good not one complaint about the food from him. He asked for a spicier salsa and it was really good. I'll probably bring him back here again he liked it.

Pleasant and prompt service from seating to food lest than 10 mins! renovated dinning room looks great with a pleasant relaxing experience. food is awesome as always. great place to celebrate anything! please don't over look this gem of Suffolk, VA.

Came for dinner and was just in time to snag a happy hour strawberry margarita, it was delicious and refreshing. The consistency was perfectly smooth and the ice wasn't chunky. I ordered the carne asada tacos which came with 3 and a side of rice and black beans. My hubs ordered the Philly cheesesteak burrito which was delicious also, new on the menu they have elote corn which was sooo good. I haven't had anything here I didn't like. Service is always so fast and the servers are always friendly.

The restaurant has lots of seating, Spanish music playing, and a nice casual atmosphere. There were only about four groups of customers when we arrived, and with four servers working, it did take a little while for someone to get our order. Once we ordered, though, the food came out very quickly and was nice and hot. And they checked on us throughout. The flavor was decent overall. The California fries were really good--they came with sliced avocado instead of guacamole, which wasn't a bad decision. I've definitely had better carne asada tacos, though. The meat was real and had a good texture, but I felt like it could have used better seasoning. My biggest disappointment was the tortillas. They tasted like store-bought tortillas rather than fresh-made, which really made a difference with the tacos. Overall, not a bad spot. The food was hot, portions were good, and there were some definite standouts like the California fries. I just wish the tacos had better-seasoned meat and fresher tortillas.

A friend and I patronized LA PARRILLA Mexican restaurant to have lunch. I ordered a "Burrito…read moreCalifornia" which was advertise as a 10 inch item. I noted all the content of the BC that was listed on the menu and it contained items that I liked. When my food was served it looked delicious and when I took my first cut of the burrito and tasted it, it was delicious. I kept going for a few more bites, and I noted that all the content of the burrito was not there. When I saw the server I let him know that some of the content was missing. The server stated that all the content was inside and he stood there for a few seconds looking at me and I was looking at him and I said OK and I took a couple more bites and there were still missing content, so I cut the "Burrito California in half open it up and call him back to the table and showed him that all the contents were not there: the chorizo sausage and pico de gallo were missing. There was no offer to make a correction, the server just took the plate and left. Came back with a ticket of 3.50 for my drink. The ambience is very fitting for a Mexican restaurant. This was not my first visit matter fact it was one of my favorite places to go when I had a taste for Mexican food and we've had a birthday dinner there for my son-in-law before and we enjoyed our meal and the service at that time.

First, let me thank Guads for having some healthier menu items such as bowls and lettuce-wraps for…read moretacos. I started coming to Guads for that very reason when I was on a restricted diet and the places I usually went didn't have very much in the way of low carb menu items. Second, Diego, Abner, and Jaquelin are always extremely attentive and just as nice as can be. I've watched them work with other tables and service to everyone (not just me) is top notch, friendly, and for such a small staff that makes a huge difference - it makes you feel welcome, and being the place is somewhat small (smaller than the other places in town) it makes for a much cozier "like family" atmosphere. Third, it is your typical Americanized Mexican restaurant with a lot of the same dishes and you know, you like what you like and what you get used to. I like the sauce served with tacos at La Parilla better. I like the Mexican Street Corn and Fried Plantains at Plaza Azteca (which neither other place has). I like "Los Tres" (3 types of Guacamole) at Guads. Their Mole Poblano is my favorite. Their Enchiladas Rancheras has cubed pork where I'm used to shredded - but it was extremely tasty pork cubes nonetheless. The Poblano appetizer is a Poblano people stuffed with Shrimp. The Brioche are skewers like "shish kebabs" with whichever meats you decide and is quite nice for something a little different. Their red and white sauces are "different" than the other places - I like their red sauce best, I think Plaza Azteca had the better white sauce - but they're all slightly different and I'll take any of them any day of the week. My family loves their Chile Rellenos - which are NOT battered which is kind of unusual TMK, but they are actually quite good like that and a nice variation - especially if you want to cut down on some fried stuff and carbs. So I mean, you have to go and try it, and find what you like. They do do Taco Tuesday and it gets super busy, and the Tacos are "very basic" but I mean, TBH I always feel guilty when I get my bill because it's so low and even a single taco has enough in it for a - well, the prices have gone up with what's happening in the world - so they were 1.00, then 1.50, I think they might be 2.00. But heck the other places are like "no we don't do Taco Tuesday, don't ask". But I like their meals enough that even if I'm there on a Tuesday I'll still order a meal a lot of times. My favorite is probably the Taquitos Mexicanos with is 2 Taquitos - but they're two tortillas each so longer and thicker than typical - those are set on a bed of refried beans (enough to hold them in place) and topped with sliced avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, jalepenos, pickled red onion IIRC, and crumbled cheese, with some chipotle drizzle or something IIRC - very nice presentation. The Chimichangas are like tortillas made into little pouches with the brisket inside of them - amazingly good and again, an attention to the appearance of the food rather than just a plate of rice, beans, sauce, and enchilada like so many dishes (they do those too though I you're looking for that). Just a lot of the stuff is nicely presented - got Texano dip the other day and it had two "wings" on it - a fried flower tortilla cut in half that had the edges cut with triangular points like sun rays - very nice for something you'd just expect a bowl of cheese dip. We've had nothing bad there - some things weren't as good for me, or for my family at other places (and we all like different things at the different places) but I've had nothing I'd say was downright bad. Some things are kind of "plain" or "basic" so I feel like, with the other more "typical" dishes, the "typical ones with a twist" and the "unique" dishes, there's something for everyone here.
