Great food! Excellent caring service! What else can you ask for? Highly recommend this place! I was here for dinner on a Saturday. Started out with great chips, salsa and a sweet cheese one. Ordered their jumbo Manganado margarita. Excellent stuff, came with a stirrer with a cute skull. Ordered one of the Vegetarian combinations. Big portion sizes. Tasty and well done. Server kept checking every five minutes! Enjoyed my evening meal a lot!!

Fast & friendly service every time and the restaurant is clean. Mexican instantly hits the spot since they immediately serve you with chips, salsa & white sauce. I usually alternate between the California Burrito & the Fajita Taco Salad but everything is good here. They have a great drink selection with lots of flavors & a well stocked bar.

Delicious lunch- I had never been here and normally went to La Parrilla- no more, now that I know this is here. They have a huge vegan/vegetarian menu, and I ordered the vegan aqua tacos. They are MESSY, but very delicious! They come hot, including the warm lettuce, but they are very good! I finally feel like I'm not overstuffed when leaving- I feel somewhat healthy with my choice! I will definitely be back and will make this my main Mexican.

Very clean establishment, dining room and restrooms. Came in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with my cousins. The staff was super attentive ensuring we were super satisfied with our meal. We all did house tequila shots along with our margaritas. Highly recommend this establishment. I will be back again soon.

We've been here numerous times but today the food was sooooo good. Everything was so flavorful. I highly recommend the street tacos Al pastor extremely good. Also get the churro cheesecake for dessert.

I love coming to Gran Rodeo. From the time I'm seated, to the time my food arrives, I know that I will be happy with my choice when coming here. I came with a group of friends and our kids sat at their own table. I love that the staff made them feel like young adults, taking their orders on their own and spending time with them. I will definitely be back for to try some of their specials!

I absolutely love this restaurant. It is my favorite for Mexican food in the area. They have many unique offerings, including the Aqua Fresca tacos, which include chicken, cheese, pico de gallo, and avocado on romaine lettuce. They are perfect for a keto diet, and I love to add chorizo. Their salsa is also amazing and the servers are always friendly.

    Very nice decor!

I really love this spot! I have no clue why I passed it by so many times without stopping in to check them out. Our server Douglas was pretty cool, had a sense of humor, and was very friendly. The food came quickly and hot. The Mrs ordered Bria tacos and the Margarita Flight. And I had the Fajita Del Mar. Both meals were outstanding! The decor was very clean and bright. A modern restaurant with a full bar. Lots of space and a room for larger parties. They have Televisions with sports for the sports fan and just an all-out peaceful atmosphere. Did I mention the food was outstanding? Now to be fair, this was a Saturday at noon on a very busy weekend. Norfolk State HC, Wine Festival, and a beautiful sunny day may have been why they were a little lite on clientele; however, this spot is definitely worth a second visit!

The food was great and came in big portions. Service was excellent and it had a great atmosphere. We sit in the bar area where we enjoyed some football. My wife loved the tequila selection and it was plenty to choose from. The margaritas were also great made with freshly squeezed juice from fruits.

    Bar is beautiful.

My sister mentioned that her drink was very weak, which was disappointing. For food, I ordered the boneless buffalo wings, and my sister had the bang bang shrimp and loaded fries. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out or made us want to come back for more. It wasn't a bad experience, but it also wasn't anything to brag about. Honestly, I'd be perfectly fine not going back.

The waiter was quick and attentive on putting in our drinks and appetizers/food to be made as soon as we sat down. Noticed that the menus for food and drinks looked different since my last time visiting, which was interesting. I started with their Honey barbecue boneless wings (10/10), they were cooked with a little crisp to the skin and the flavor was actually really good. Also had the Bacon cheese fries (7/10), I love when food comes out fresh and melty, but these came out as if they sat for a minute with the cheese already congealed and stuck to the paper. For drinks, I tried their Strawberry passion daiquirita and Life's a peach, both fell short on flavor (as far as what the menu stated what they were made compared to how they came out tasting) for me (5/10). I was def disappointed in my drinks for the night. I do see myself going back, but I just hope the next time the drinks are better. My overall rate of experience : 7.3/10

The layout and cleanliness of the rooms was better than average, presentation was nice; which makes you expectant of the dining experience, which this night was short. The food was average unfortunately, based on what you paid for it. It lacks portion size and quality of end products, not in line with the prices paid. Quanty was ok, and sides were good, but mains needed work. If you are paying twice as much for a steak here that say Texas Road House, you would expect the steak to be twice as good, right? First, let me thank Guads for having some healthier menu items such as bowls and lettuce-wraps for…read moretacos. I started coming to Guads for that very reason when I was on a restricted diet and the places I usually went didn't have very much in the way of low carb menu items. Second, Diego, Abner, and Jaquelin are always extremely attentive and just as nice as can be. I've watched them work with other tables and service to everyone (not just me) is top notch, friendly, and for such a small staff that makes a huge difference - it makes you feel welcome, and being the place is somewhat small (smaller than the other places in town) it makes for a much cozier "like family" atmosphere. Third, it is your typical Americanized Mexican restaurant with a lot of the same dishes and you know, you like what you like and what you get used to. I like the sauce served with tacos at La Parilla better. I like the Mexican Street Corn and Fried Plantains at Plaza Azteca (which neither other place has). I like "Los Tres" (3 types of Guacamole) at Guads. Their Mole Poblano is my favorite. Their Enchiladas Rancheras has cubed pork where I'm used to shredded - but it was extremely tasty pork cubes nonetheless. The Poblano appetizer is a Poblano people stuffed with Shrimp. The Brioche are skewers like "shish kebabs" with whichever meats you decide and is quite nice for something a little different. Their red and white sauces are "different" than the other places - I like their red sauce best, I think Plaza Azteca had the better white sauce - but they're all slightly different and I'll take any of them any day of the week. My family loves their Chile Rellenos - which are NOT battered which is kind of unusual TMK, but they are actually quite good like that and a nice variation - especially if you want to cut down on some fried stuff and carbs. So I mean, you have to go and try it, and find what you like. They do do Taco Tuesday and it gets super busy, and the Tacos are "very basic" but I mean, TBH I always feel guilty when I get my bill because it's so low and even a single taco has enough in it for a - well, the prices have gone up with what's happening in the world - so they were 1.00, then 1.50, I think they might be 2.00. But heck the other places are like "no we don't do Taco Tuesday, don't ask". But I like their meals enough that even if I'm there on a Tuesday I'll still order a meal a lot of times. My favorite is probably the Taquitos Mexicanos with is 2 Taquitos - but they're two tortillas each so longer and thicker than typical - those are set on a bed of refried beans (enough to hold them in place) and topped with sliced avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, jalepenos, pickled red onion IIRC, and crumbled cheese, with some chipotle drizzle or something IIRC - very nice presentation. The Chimichangas are like tortillas made into little pouches with the brisket inside of them - amazingly good and again, an attention to the appearance of the food rather than just a plate of rice, beans, sauce, and enchilada like so many dishes (they do those too though I you're looking for that). Just a lot of the stuff is nicely presented - got Texano dip the other day and it had two "wings" on it - a fried flower tortilla cut in half that had the edges cut with triangular points like sun rays - very nice for something you'd just expect a bowl of cheese dip. We've had nothing bad there - some things weren't as good for me, or for my family at other places (and we all like different things at the different places) but I've had nothing I'd say was downright bad. Some things are kind of "plain" or "basic" so I feel like, with the other more "typical" dishes, the "typical ones with a twist" and the "unique" dishes, there's something for everyone here.
