And why do they always start putting labels on each other? You called me dumb? You dont know me but I do know who you are. You have given me a clear picture of your intellect. Every black person needs SUN, SLEEP, AIR AND WATER. Most folks dont get enough of these elements to protect their immune systems. They forgot to call when my gun was ready and were not replying to phone messages. I had to drive up on Saturday after almost two months of waiting to check on it. It turns out the gun was ready and after taking it out yesterday, I can safely say it works! If you drop off a gun here be sure to keep your ticket and drive up every few weeks. A good gunsmith is sometimes hard to find, and I have found one! I was referred to CCS Gunsmithing by a discriminating shooter, and I have not been disappointed. Chris Eifealdt of CCS Gunsmithing has worked on several of my guns--the jobs ranging from simple repairs to the more complex upgrade and build projects. My initial experience was the repair of a Colt Detective Special. The problem was quickly discovered, the hard-to-find parts acquired and fitted, and the gun returned to serviceable condition at a reasonable price. Other projects followed: several 1911s, a Springfield Armory XDs, a Sig Sauer 380, and an AR 15. One of those 1911s was a custom build by a well-known pistolsmith. Attempts to have the original builder correct the problems were expensive, time consuming, and ultimately unsuccessful. I was about to give up on this gun. Chris worked out each problem, and now it is my primary carry gun. On a personal level, I found Chris to be friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. He won't do work that is not needed, he provides good recommendations, and his work exceeds reasonable expectations. What a rip off!!! My friend and I are building a rifle for my dad for Father's Day, my kit came without a buttstock so I called around and they told me they had a A2 for $40.(same price as online). My buddy went and picked it up, granted he isn't too knowledgeable when it comes to ARs, the stock they sold him was used!!! I don't mean like someone installed it and then took it off, it was like someone drug it behind their truck...I'll eat the $40 and buy my dad a better stock from someone else in town. Learned my lesson and won't shop there ever again. read more

Do not go here if you have a high quality gun & want high quality repair services. Took a shotgun to him to install an aftermarket part. This guy used heat on a spring steel part - a definite no no. Notches cut into a pin were uneven & a hole drilled into it was off-center. He couldn't get the part back in properly so he used loctite. Needless to say the part failed after about 200 rounds. Took it to an actual gunsmith who knows what he's doing and got it repaired properly. read more

Wish I could give it ZERO stars! Went in to get my pistol boresighted and was thinking it was the rear sight. Says it would cost $40. Thats fine. But when he comes back he say its perfectly fine, and they had to make NO corrections. But still is going to charge $40 for no corrections. As we talk about the gun, some employee says a comment under his breath thinking i didnt hear him, "maybe you should get another gun". I was going to get my other gun fixed there but after that I'd rather go to another Gunsmith even if i have to pay a little more. Customer service is worth paying a little more. terrible, will never go back there. read more

I went to CCS to have my pistol serviced, it was nothing more than a sight replacement but I felt assured that this was the right decision from the recommendation that an older coworker gave me. Upon entry I was met with the wife, the very RUDE shop manager that actually said "what do you want" in the rudest tone that I have ever heard. After explaining the situation she told me that it would take 2 weeks to replace the sights on a sig 226. After 2 weeks it was ready for pick up and I went to the shop to pick up my pistol. While in the shop I asked to see the sks rifle they had on the wall, the shop manager immediately snapped and rudely said " are you here to pick up or buy something". I replied "here to pick up my pistol" she then said " then WAIT it will just be a minute". Apparently selling a gun isn't a priority in this shop that sells and services guns. Chris brought out the pistol and he was polite and charged me for the sight replacement, then I went to the range. The front sight flew off after 8 rounds, I couldn't retrieve the sight due to range rules but that didn't deter me from taking it back to CCS in order to have it repaired. The manager again very rudely asked my why I came back with my pistol and I told her that the front sight flew off. She ACTUALLY YELLED AT ME CALLED ME A LIAR AND TOLD ME TO LEAVE.!!!!!!!!!! Chris came out of the back because of the noise and calmed her down, he then told me that he would correct the work free of charge when I returned with the new front sight. After begging Sig to send me a new Sig light front sight separately ( which took some doing)I dropped the gun and the new front sight off at CCS. Two days later he called me and told me it was ready. MS.ATTITUDE told me I was going to be charged 20.00 for a test fire, I asked if she was serious and she tried to yell at me before I cut her off and said whatever just get me out of here. CCS Is a joke, the work is average at best and that's after your berated by the angry woman behind the counter for no reason. Also the SKS I wanted to look at was 800. They are 400 to 600 EVERYWHERE else. In between the angry, rude woman behind the counter, the over priced guns and the pricey work ( WHICH IS MEDIOCRE at best) there isn't much reason to visit this terrible shop. STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Great Gunsmith shop!!!!! I don't understand all of the bad reviews. I have been to a lot of the gun shops around town and the people that work here are by far the nicest and most knowledgeable. I took my Charles Daly shotgun here after already being told to trash it by another gunsmith. They took it back immediately and had it working great within 20 minutes and it only cost me $40. The black lady that works there is very nice. I had my kids with me and they loved her and as well. I am a customer as long as I live in Las Vegas. read more
