We were initially excited to see that CD had opened closer to our home. We used to trek to Libertyville - where the service is good, just a bit further than Deerfield. Off to a rocky start. The owner (Chet) - exceptionally kind and polite man. That's where the pleasant experience ends. We experienced numerous mistakes/swapped/lost items, etc. their first few months of operation. We figured it was just new store jitters. Icing on the cake - which made us not do business there anymore: I dropped off a winter coat for cleaning. Got it back - and the lining was ripped to shreds. I took it back, and a woman (not sure if she is the seamstress, manager or what) - but was rude. At first she didn't remember I dropped the coat off - said it was a different store. THEN she looked and up in their system and realized, yes - this is our fault.......went on to advise me (when she got her memory back) that the coat was very dirty and they had to wash it a few times - and the lining was cheap, coat was old, etc. Lies all around. I wore the coat only a few times (it's a dressier winter coat - not an everyday coat) - was not filthy - just need a freshening up. Coat was maybe 2 years old - only worn in the winter (so, no, it wasn't old). And NO it wasn't cheap! I spent over $250 on it. What made things worse - THEY NEVER APOLOGIZED! Went back to Libertyville - and they don't miss a beat. Won't be back to this location - that's for sure. read more

I have been a CDOP customer for a long time and for many years, my go to was the CDOP in Niles, on Dempster just west of Waukegan, as it was on my way to work. CDOP opened in Deerfield and so I started coming here as it is closer to home. For many years, I was happy and satisfied with their service. In the past year, apparently, CDOP Deerfield changed ownership, and it showed in the new layout and the less friendly staffers. The staffers are professional, yes, but in a curt and almost unfriendly way; nobody greets you with a smile anymore. That aside, service has fallen short of experience. I always ask for my pants to be ironed without a crease; it's even in my store profile. Yet, almost always, there'd be one pant that would be missed, and this week was the worst when almost half of my pants were ironed with a crease. If you also ask for your sweater to be folded and not hung, there'd be no guarantee that that'd happen; it's a crapshoot. I've nver been so disappointed. In a service line where communication, attention to detail and consistency is a must (smiling and friendly staffers are always a welcome bonus), CD OnePlus Deerfield is falling short and headed in the wrong direction, with evidently inadequate training of the crew or, perhaps and even worse, a crew that just doesn't care? read more

If I could give this particular location no stars...I could. I've been a patron of this franchise for over three years at their Crystal Lake, Morton Grove, and Lincolnwood locations with no problems, if there were they helped to resolve the issue. I've been in Northbrook a lot lately so I decided to visit this Deerfield location out of convenience. First time there and there were no problems. Second time and the service was terrible. I particularly mentioned the make up around the collar of two shirts when I dropped it off and they said it wouldnt be a problem and marked the shirts with red tape as well as the arm with spots. After all most make up washes out so I didn't think it would be an issue, as it's been cleaned before. When I picked the shirts up, neither was clean. The staff was unhelpful and the manager MIA demonstrated poor customer service unwilling to do anything to resolve the situation. I informed her she would be loosing my business and she did not care. I left and will not be returning. Save yourself the hassle. At $3.69 a shirt shop elsewhere and save your time. read more

Aside from my clothes always coming back perfectly clean and pressed, with even the trickiest wine stains removed, this dry cleaners is exceptional. Great service and amazing staff. Very friendly owner greets customers personally and the team exudes joy and efficiency. You can really tell they are a family. We came in on a hot day and the owner assured us his staff was stocked with Gatorade and consistent breaks. He also said "it costs more to pay less," which shows his dedication to a happy team. Absolute WORST service ever! They ruined a very good blouse of mine, putting stretch marks all over it. They denied ruining it and refused to help compensate me in anyway. So not only did they ruin a good, new blouse but they treated me horribly. I would NOT recommend this cleaners to anyone. read more

I get my white lab coat dry cleaned here every once in a while and they do a fair job at making it look new again minus the collar. I wish they would scrub at it to get the yellow out because that's the real reason I give it to them versus just washing it myself. Otherwise good service and quick turnover with the same day service. read more

They may be quick, but time after time clothes are ruined, stains and smells aren't removed... there really seems to be no quality control. We've wasted so much time calling or returning to have items Re-washed, Re-presses, etc. Awful. read more

I have only been to CD One Price Cleaners twice. Of those times, I'd say the service is excellent and I would continue to go there. All cleaners can pretty much do decent cleaning, but the service can be very different. Their prices are great. It's one price of about $3 no matter what you bring. They even offer coupons on top of that. Being a professional in a hurry with better things to do than be at the cleaners, you'd hope that they are efficient. They offer same day cleaning. If you bring in your items before 10 AM, you can pick them up at 5. They even offer a slot to drop your items in if you can't get there during their operating hours. I was literally in and out of there each time, for drop off and pick up, in less than 1 minute! They are always very nice and are sure to count your items at pick up to be sure you are leaving with all your items. I would definitely recommend this cleaners to anyone. read more

I took my daughter's North face in to be cleaned and it was ruined instead. Blue type water marks all over the jacket. I was told there was nothing they could do, it was the lining of the jacket that caused this. Well, if you are in the dry cleaning business wouldn't you first: warn the customer and second: offer some type of rebate or anything after ruining a $250.00 jacket? I am livid!!!! Great cleaning. Great service. Great price! Friendly and helpful employees. Simple and easy process. It's fast because there are multiple registers so you never have to wait. Also, you can tell the staff like working there because they are all smiling and eager to help- has a good vibe. I drive 20 min to get to this specivid CD one Dry cleaners. there is one closer but I am all about customer service. As soon as anywhere stops being gracious to its customers I stop going. This place impressed me from the start the owner was there and greeted me with a smile and coffee. Although I had already my morning cup of joe, the gesture and coffee was very much appreciated. That on top of doing a great job on my dry cleaning has me coming back for shirt and suits. Keep in mind everything is one set price, small or large! Amazing deal if your are dropping off a large wool winter coat or suits. but I would recommend if you have plenty of ties to get dry cleaned to get them done cheaper somewhere else again everything is a set price small or big. I have been taking my cleaning here for about 1 year and it has always been a positive experience. All the employees are friendly and efficient. I love that I can drop off my cleaning before 10am and pick up after 5pm. Also, the pricing is very reasonable. When I am picking up a lot of laundry, they always offer to help me take it out to my car. I will continue to go here as long as I live in the area. I tried so hard to like this place. I love the pricing and the counter people who work here. The owners seem like wonderful people who are trying so hard after a career as teachers to have a second life as business owners. It is so unfortunate that over the course of the year that I was bringing my shirts here over 40% of the shirts had to be redone on a constant basis. I am a bigger person. And pressing my shirts was very difficult for this dry cleaner every time I would be told that someone knew was working on the order and that they promise that the next week it would all be better. The quality control was horrible because the next week I would come in and find that 4 out of 5 sometimes one out of five other times of my shirts we're completely wrinkled and Miss fed through the machines. I would call and speak to the owner who would tell me that his staff was new and that he paid far more than the average but he could not keep good people. I go to another chain now and I have been wearing men's shirts for my whole adult life and never ran into this problem before or since. I hope that they are successful but this is a warning to people with extended sizes that this may not be the location for you. read more

I brought in 3 of the most stained, dirty sweaters! My 95-year-old mother-in-law gets makeup all over the collars, and gets food all over the sweaters. I never expected you would get the stains out, but you did!The sweaters look brand new! Ruined 2 of my husbands Ralph Lauren shirts. Both necklines were ripped from the press. Came into the store to show the damage was told by the front desk that I was the 3rd person that morning that it happened to & the owner would call me. Never heard from the owner, had to call back the next day. Finally the owner returned my call & said there was nothing she could do. I asked if they would replace his shirts & they would not. She offered me a $25 credit, if you ruined his shirts why would I ever let you touch our clothes. Horrible customer service! You pay for you get, there is a reason why their prices are so cheap. There are plenty other places in Deerfield that will cost more money, but the quality is worth it. read more

Great experience here! Very friendly and solid service. They emailed me less than 24 hours after I dropped off my laundry to tell me my clothes were ready, and I asked them online to correct my name. They promptly sent me a very professional message saying they were sorry and that the error had been corrected. When I picked up my clothes, they helped me out to my car--the drop-off bag was a nice bonus! Best and most affordable service on the north shore!
