i just moved from orlando to des plaines, i found this place & they ruined a brand new zegna cashmere sweater, it had 4 holes, it costs more than $800, first the manager said it was a bug, when i told her i just bought it, she sent it to lab, lab said it was not a bug, they basically did absolutely nothing. manager told me that if i had a rolls royce why would i take it to jiffy lube? absolutely disgusting. i am so upset i didn't want to pick up my garment (they still have it) so my only choice is to pay $1000 retainer and sue them? please if you have anything worth more than $10 don't take there. they will do absolutely nothing if they ruin it. they think just because they have cheap prices they can do cheap business. i don't think so. they will go down. read more

Was in town for business and needed my suit pressed for the next day. Not only is that the norm here, but they are VERY friendly and courteous. Everyone smiled and looked like they enjoyed working there, and it was a smooth and fast process. Came back later that day to pick up my suit, and it was a new staff but the same great service. I've had to stop going to them after 3 outfits were ruined on 3 separate occassions. A broken button here and there, I can deal with, but it's the actual scorch marks that I can't tolerate. The best they can do is to put a tag on your outfit AFTER it's already ruined saying that 'Oops! can't do anything more to this without ruining it.' Umm, sorry, that doesn't help...it's already ruined! I've tried to take it back to see what I can do to fix these cleaning mishaps and they tell me that there's nothing they can do. Terrible. If your machines can't handle properly cleaning the outfit, then don't accept them when I bring it in for cleaning! I'd rather pay more to get it cleaned right instead of having an unwearable outfit. I now take my clothes to a different dry cleaning place (paying about $1.50 more per item) and they have handled all my clothes with care and no garments ruined. read more

I needed some sweaters cleaned and a blouse pressed only . I picked them up 2 days later and found that my new white blouse I had not worn yet had orange splotches on it and is now ruined and my sweaters still had my hair in them . I tried calling them and they kept hanging up . read more

I brought two items in to be dry cleaned. When I went to pick them up, they only gave me one item. When I asked about the second item, they told me that I picked it up the day after I brought it in. I told them that I was sure that I did not pick it up and that I would have picked up the second item as well. They told me that sometimes people do that. I assured them that I had never done that. I asked for the receipt back for the item that they had lost. The young man would not give me back the original receipt and printed a new one. I asked another young lady what I should do. She told me to call corporate. When I asked for the number, she told me to look it up. After I arrived home and checked to make sure that I did not in fact have the item, I looked up the number and called customer service and left a message with all the info including store number and ticket number, etc. I never received a call back. I also sent an email and never received a response. I will not be giving them my business anymore. I am so disappointed in the less than helpful attitude of the store employees and the total lack of customer service from corporate. read more

I have been going to CD One Price Cleaners for several years and have always been happy with their friendly people and their impeccable service. Recently I picked up my cleaning and the person who handed it to me pointed to a small paper bag attached to the front of my cleaning. She said that they found this in one of my pockets; it was my business credit card that I thought I had lost. Having had my credit card hacked in the past, I immediately looked up my account and there were no charges on my account that I didn't recognize. We all know how easy it would be for someone to have slipped my card into their pocket and never mentioned anything to anyone. This act gives me my faith back in Humanity!! The staff is friendly and courteous and they listen when I have to get something cleaned a certain way.

All I can say is REALLY GREAT! They are very, very personable, not the usual robots that work at these places. And you simply cannot beat the prices. We were spending 5+ for dry cleaning and they do it for $2.50. The cleaning is onsite and seems like a man is inspecting every item that goes out. Doesn't seem possible to be so detailed, but there was a man inspecting every shirt that came through on the line. Very friendly too. read more

If you like your clothes dont take them here. I took my uniform dress to get a button sewn on, you think yea thats pretty simple. after picking up the dress the button fell off 3 days later. ok no worries, maybe just bad luck right. so 2nd time i give them benefit of the doubt. need to get my uniform dress hemmed. i go in pay around $22.00 just for a hem, and ask if it can be dry cleaned. guy gives me receipt saids to pick up 3week later. wow! thats gonna be a great hemming job, im thinking. i get a call friday which is 4 days later.. "the coat you left was not charged correct price".. "Wait what coat, i didnt leave a coat, i left a dress", i say! Oh she gets back on the phone yes the dress doesnt show a place to be hemmed. I tell them i left a pin on it, she saids nothing is on it, can i come back ask for Flora. O.k. i go back following day, "yes can i see Flora"...Flora comes she quickly gets another girl and tells her to take care of me. why did i even ask for flora?? dont know?? anywho, i tell the girl i was called about my dress with no marking for the hem. she saids oh yes, comes back with a yellow floral dress. Um my uniform dress is navy blue, shes saids uh yes the black dress. yea, ok whatever!!! the pin i left is still on it, showing where it need to be hemmed, so why am i here? If there was a place for NO STAR on this review, that's what I would have chosen. This place is cheap and so is the service. My husband just got home bringing my white button down shirt, and I swear, If I didn't have to wear it tonight, I would bring it back to show them what a horrible job they did. I had a horrible experience today. I called the cleaners to ask if the dresses could be steamed with the tags on, but no one answered the phone. I asked the question when I arrived. The lady behind the desk said it wouldn't be an issue and that the dresses would be ready as early as 2:00. I dropped off two black dresses WITH the tags on (unsure of which dress I was going to keep). I called around 12:45 to see if the dresses were ready and the lady that answered was incredibly rude! She said if I dropped them off before 10 they would not be ready until after 5. I responded by saying that the lady at the desk said they would be ready earlier. Long story short...they were ready. I picked them up and noticed ALL TAGS WERE REMOVED. The manager (at least I think she was the manager- sure didn't act like one) said that they don't steam clothes with tags on. I replied by saying I wish someone would have told me that when I asked! I asked her if she could look around a bit and she made a "phone call" and said "they're not here". I have used this location of CD One Price cleaners for about 2 years. I chose this cleaners which is about 20 from my home because the price was right, and it was the only cleaners of this brand that had a positive rating, so I chose to try them with something simple. I don't have a lot to dry clean, but I have never been disappointed with the service or quality of cleaning. This week I took in a new shirt that had food stains. I didn't want the traditional pressing because I did not want creases on the sleeves. Luvia attached a note to not crease the sleeves, and when I picked it up yesterday, it was cleaned perfectly - no stain and no creases on the sleeves. Kudos to Luvia for her excellent service, and to the other personnel who read the notes! read more
