This shop claims to have the most advanced garment knowledge and to care deeply for its customers' property, but none of the customer service I have received represents this! I brought a dress from Bottega Veneta on April 30th with a small blood stain that I could feasibly remove myself, but this dress was a special part of my wardrobe, and I expected CD Cleaners to handle the order just fine. I was SORELY mistaken about their ability, as not only did they leave my dress unclean when I received it, but they also PUNCTURED a hole in the shoulder AND pulled out the metal front closures. The dress is unwearable, and they refuse to return it to me now! I immediately returned to the shop to ask for help and the woman working felt the need to tug and rip the hole of the dress deeper to 'show me' that they would not be able to repair it. I am utterly baffled why she kept pulling yarns of the hole, and her tone felt facetious instead of helpful. I asked them, practically begging to know if they had found the metal closure pieces so they could attempt re-screwing them into the dress. After telling me that the pieces aren't available at Amazon, I had to explain that the dress retailed $3000 and that the closures were definitely unique. They continued to tell me there was nothing they could do and after I explained that the resell price ranges around the 55% range of the original MSRP, they have told me to 'wait for them to contact' with a solution after they speak with their manager. It has been over THREE WEEKS and I have not received a call, nor will they give me their manager's information. The staff continues to avoid telling me when the manager will be in, and comment extremely rudely about me in Spanish ("l**a m**rda con el vestido verde'). The loss of my favorite dress will go to small claims court here in Chicago, but I implore you to simply look elsewhere as none of the professionalism required for a dry-cleaner with such 'heritage' as CD Cleaners exists to ensure your clothing stays safe or ACTUALLY CLEAN! read more

I have been bringing my not so delicate items here for cleaning. For my bigger items (like comforters and outdoor rugs for the balcony), every day wool coats, scarves, leggings, tablecloths/napkins and just basic items, I have brought them here. To date, this location is better than the one on Ashland in Chicago. Items I have brought in have been pressed and cleaned to my satisfaction. I took in my curtains from the balcony to have them washed and folded and they looked good. Prices are very good, $24.99 for a comfortable and that is cheap in my book. The area outside rug was under a $100 and way cheaper than some of the other places I go to. Because of the volume of items they do, from the looks of clothes and rugs in the place, this would not be someplace I would take something beaded or delicate in handling. But when you need that big and bulky stuff done, this is the location to go to for the price. read more

I have had issues with this location in the past (they "misplaced" a couple of my items and it took multiple visits to "find" them), so imagine that it took me two YEARS to trust them enough to give them another try. I dropped off 3 suits here about a few weeks ago and got them back with no problem. Today was a much different story. I tried to drop off 3 pairs of jeans to be dry cleaned and was there very early (around 7 am). As soon as I walked in and saw the scowl on the cashier's face I knew it was going to be trouble. Went through the entire routine of giving her my phone number and verifying name. Then she says (with an evil smirk) you know this will be ready on Monday right?? Uh.... NO. Your website doesn't say ANYTHING about no same day on Saturday. I understand Sunday but really? Think that might be something you'd let people know ahead of time so they don't waste their time? Very bad impression y'all. You need to do better. read more

My review is not visible on Google so I will try posting here. I wish I can give you 0 stars and actually have something done against you people instead of just writing a review 1. They ruined 2 of my expensive dresses (abayas) There are runs, rips and burn marks as well as some unidentifiable white marks that were not there before 2. The attitude of the employee made me absolutely sick to my stomach. The dumb duck with glasses who I came back to talk to couldn't care less about her or coworkers ruining my clothes. No apologies and no even an offer of a refund. She wants me to leave the clothes and come back as if we have all the time in the world and why would I trust them not to ruin it more? 3. The rest of the clothes were pressed with laziness 4. Honestly I am even suspicious that they washed my clothes at all and just went ahead to press them like that. Honestly these people need to be investigated for fraudulent business practices. I don't think they do the services they say they do, maybe just press dirty clothes and send it out. My go to dry cleaners in the area. I've been to 4 different ones. Reasonably priced and they do a great job. This time I brought our big down comforter to get cleaned. It cost $20. Staff here is super friendly. I like this location because it's open on Sundays until 2 pm. Parking is a little tricky because they don't have their own lot. None of your employees were wearing one. I always use CD ONE PRICE CLEANERS at 3320 W Devon Ave, Lincolnwood, IL 60712. I am an old man in my mid-80s and handicap. would like to mention my pleasant experience with the staff there which is generally cordial. On 11/16/2020 returning from my Dentist at 5787 N Lincoln Ave I stopped by to drop my laundry. I always keep my car keys in my trouser's side pocket. I am forgetful. I don't know how I put the keys in my hip pocket. After depositing my laundry I realize I don't have my keys in the side pockets. I went to the car if I left in there. It was not there. I had locked all the doors. The only possibility was that while taking out my laundry from the trunk I might have left it in the trunk. I returned to the Dry Cleaner and asked the young man who received my laundry for help. His name is Danie Becerro. I found him extremely cooperative. He used his personal Cell to call AAA and arranged for help. I had my Cell also locked in the car. I was totally locked out. As the help required about 30 minutes to reach he brought a chair for me to sit comfortably. Later, I started searching my trouser pockets again my hand touched my hip pocket. I was very embarrassed to find my car keys there. Danie was amused but was not annoyed. He called AAA to cancel the request for help, I requested him to write his name. I used the new wash and fold service they provide. They do not clean pillows at all, and they do not include blankets, no matter the size or fabrics. Each blanket is $19.99, even if it's a thin throw blanket for a couch. I said it was fine to just add the pillows and blankets into the same load as everything else, but they wouldn't allow it. The finished laundry was folded nicely and did not have any fragrance. The staff was friendly and efficient, and let me pick up my finished clothes even though I arrived 5 minutes after they closed for the night. read more

3.3/10 I dropped off my winter wool coat before 10am, which means I was able to pick it up at 5pm. When I picked up the coat, I noticed inner fabric has been torn at the seams. The store didn't take responsibility for their rough handling. They merely advise to get them altered...no shit Sherlock. Don't even get me started on the chemical odor that emits from the coat... Took pant here to get them shortened, they charged me upfront and then the next week when I took them home to try them on, the work had not been done, when I went in to try and get a refund they told me I could not get a refund until the tailor was there which where completely inconvenient times, I told them I would show them the pants were still 3 inches too long and they simply repeated that I had to wait until the tailor was in. I wear suits everyday for work and was looking for a place to get them cleaned at a decent price. The staff is professional, your clothes will be ready on time, but don't expect to get them back the same way you turned them in. They've over pressed at least 5 of my suit jackets to the point where they are unwearable. They literally created waves in the fabric that won't go away. When I brought this to their attention he staff acted like they didn't care about the damage. Frankly, their reaction was appalling. I think it's great that this location offers drop-off dry cleaning services. However, they did a very poor job (more than once) on cleaning white shirts and on alterations (re-stitching minor tear near the pockets of dress slacks). Alterations: I had to return the item more than once to fix the stitching which, unfortunately, there were dangling threads leftover. Dry Cleaning: Even after attempting to clean the shirts twice, there were a brown ring left on the collar. Also, the collar on my pattern-colored shirts were faded (part of the collar was missing color, harsh chemicals perhaps). The staff are friendly but the service needs improvement. To be fair they are professional. Everyone is polite. They tell you when your stuff will be ready and it is ready when they say it will be. They send a text letting you know it's ready. I took 5 sweaters in to be cleaned. It costs $3.99 for each of them. I got them back pressed and they literally all still smell. I didn't do anything over the top in them but they smelled like they were worn for a day when I turned them in when I got them back they smelled exactly the same which is ridiculous at $3.99 per sweater. The smell was not even toned down. I feel like I deserve my money back because it seems like at this point they just pressed a dirty sweater. Great treatment and awful service read more

Terrible, terrible idea. I dropped off 4 pairs of my husband's suit pants and 2 of my work pants on Friday after work, pre-paid (as required) for all 6 articles to be cleaned, and when we showed up on Sunday afternoon, the pants were nowhere to be found. The cashier looked for more than 20 minutes, and we left without our clothes. The cashier assured us the manager would call us back later that day, which they didn't--in fact, they have not yet called us about this. We have called more than 10 times, as those 4 pairs of pants were 80% of my husband's work pants (not to mention they are half of a matching set with his suit jackets), so needless to say, it's a big issue if we don't get those back. He had to wear the same pair two days in a row and now we just spent $200 at the store to buy him a few new pairs since CD One Price Cleaner can't find a manager return our phone calls to figure out how we can be reimbursed for the $900 of clothing that has disappeared. CD One Price Cleaner, I will NEVER give you my business again, even if your prices are great. In fact, I am telling everyone that I know that they better think twice before dropping clothing off at any of your franchises, as you may never see those pants or that nice dress again. read more

I've been using this place off and on for the last couple years for mostly dry cleaning. Speaking of dry cleaning, the work has always looked good and clean and I like that it's ready in the estimated time which is usually the same day. Like any cleaners service they also offer washing of your clothing. For my work they like a nice polo, preferably white and with a colored stripe. I mention that detail because if it was as easy as throwing whites into some Clorox bleach, I could do that at home. So I have these white polo's which I usually pre-treat at home, leave to sit and then wash. They still look factory white but I'm unable to get the collars as white as they once were. I have a big neck you see. Well, my co-worker always takes his to the same dry cleaner in Buffalo Grove and his polo's are always pearly white. So I decide to do the same. Worst idea, didn't think this was something I had to look through reviews for first. For the cleaning of three polo shirts with added care to the collars, I paid about six and a half to seven and a half dollars. They stated it would be ready the same day since I brought them in the morning. The collars are now worse off than when I brought them in. Stains have somehow bled through the neckline and there are fabric turds all around the neckline. What's kind of funny to me is that I recently donated a fabric shaver, so it's either I take a scissors and manually cut this shit off or donate the expensive polo shirts and buy three more. Maybe I'll invest in a Tide bleach pen and try that, if it works the best, I'll update this review so you know an alternate way to get the collar cleaner. (As an FYI to my men folk out there looking for a way to get collars cleaner on an expensive dress shirt which is colored; use "pumice hand cleaner". If you're used to hard work, working with your hands, you may have this in your garage or work closet. It's great for removing tar, grease and oil from hands and skin. Take a toothbrush and wet the head, add a bit of the cleaner and work it into the collar or area needing treatment. Brush it in good and then let it sit a minute or two and then throw it into the wash. An easy method for keeping those expensive dress shirts in their best form) read more

I went to pick up a suit and dress from them for a wedding I was attending that weekend. When i finally put the dress on at home there were huge stains that looked like oil stains all over, completely unwearable. Not a soul said a word when i picked it up. My husband had a small tag Stuck to it saying " we did what we could". It was inside his suit and would not have been seen until we got home. I assume it was my dress they were referring to. Well I have been taking all my clothes here for years. The only down is that things with beads they won't take. But for everything else even when I have brought in a big bag of cleaning cause I procrastinate getting to the dry cleaners I was able to pick it up the next day. The price is beyond cheap compared to else where and I have really saved. Now I only use others for alternations and my things that have beads and such. For those who are in emergency management such as police officers and I suspect the same might be true for others such as military, firefighters, etc, they do uniforms at a discounted price. And even better recently they have started to email or text updates and so if you are not sure when you have to go to get your cleaning it lets you know automatically which I have found helpful for planning my days. You get what you pay for. I think it's a little weird that people would pay 2.49 and expect sparkles and fairies to be coming out of their clothes on return. I've had some spotty jobs (few and far between), but this fits into my budget, and they're fast and nice... plus they offer free burnt coffee! Cash Only! I have to say, I've been using this location for over 5 years. Pricing are fair although creeping up. For the most part the service is good. Occasionally, you will find poor cleaning. I.e, lint from other clothing, new stains, crease burns on pants mostly. The parking is dismal at best. I wish they had a bigger parking lot. You have to get lucky and park on Devon which is congested. Sometimes, you'll walk half a block down the side streets. I assume the neighbors do not like that. Hope things improve. I looked at yelp before I took my 80% virgin wool dress to CD one price cleaners and thought ok, I'll take the risk. The worse that could possibly happen would be - picking up a dress that shrunk to the size of a 6-year old boy (which would piss me off), but it wouldn't be the end of the world. Anyhoo, here are the deets: in b4 10am out by 5pm; you pay up front; credit cards are not accepted cash or checks ONLY. It was my first time, so they made me fill out a customer registration form (I'm not so keen on that, but whatev''). I paid my $2.50, they gave me a nice little laundry bag for my next visit, and I went along my merry way. Picked up my dress at 5pm, observed the dress (they didn't shrink it) we're cooking so far... WELL here comes the surprise, it doesn't seem like it was dry cleaned. My dress is black wool and there weren't any stains that needed to be treated. I just wanted the dress dry cleaned. But I can't really be upset, right? I paid $2.50 for the dress to be cleaned, and I pretty much got $2.50 worth of cleaning LOL. I had a bridesmaid's dress cleaned/pressed for a wedding on Saturday July 21, 2018. When I opened the plastic wrap I realized that CD One Price Cleaners (Devon & McCormick Ave) had removed a navy blue sash/belt and forgot to attach it to the dress or pin it to the paper wrapping. I was severely disappointed as it was to late to address the problem. I ended up walking down the aisle mismatched from the other bridesmaids. In addition, the sash really put the dress together and not having it created an unflattering look. I am very upset and would like to know where the sash/belt is and a refund for the cost of my dress of $100.00 as it ruined the purpose of buying the dress in the first place. read more

CD One Price Cleaners on Devon Ave in Lincolnwood delivers quality service for a great price. The staff is well trained and hard at work every time I have dropped off my laundry. The complaints I read seem unfair as they deliver consistently on the "in by 10am - out by 5pm" promise and that's no easy task especially on Saturdays. Sometimes clothes gives out and dry cleaning isn't recommended for all fabrics, I think you have to understand and consider the process. read more

The fact that they charge upfront says a lot about the quality of their service. They lost multiple shirts of mine and I was given such a run-around that I just decided to never spend money at CD One ever again. The staff is pretty nice, except for the owner and one of the young girls behind the counter. She is so rude and obnoxious, sometimes directly to your face. And the owner, well he does not care one bit about the customers, only about the money. It's a shame because it is right down the block from where I live but I cannot bring myself to pay upfront for a questionable outcome. We'll start with the good they do bulk laundry. They take good care of customers. The bad that cost one star from the whole five star of this review is that they refused to work on my jacket. But at least they refunded my money in cash. Also for laundry they do a great job and also accept credit cards. So still kinda miffed that they did not fix my jacket but happy they can do bulk laundry. Maybe​ if my coat was in better condition they can fix it.
